The apostle John wrote several letters to the early church. In his first letter to the church (1 John) the apostle urges the early Christian community to remain united in their testimony of Jesus, and not be swayed by the many false teachings that may sound enticing, but only lead away from Jesus and his love. Instead, John encourages the church to be rooted in Christ and his love.
