As a soldier’s breastplate protected his chest from an enemy’s attacks, so sanctifying, righteous living (Rom. 6:13; 14:17) guards a believer’s heart against the assaults of the devil (cf. Isa. 59:17; James 4:7).
Here is the thing about the breast plate. Notice the armor does not cover your back?
It is like coach Huggins said in his Hall of Fame speech. Son we are not going backwards today we are going forwards.
Jesus in His prefect righteousness has already won the victory over sin, Hell, and death. Death is the final enemy but it has been defeated. The is not going backward the war is already over the.
The Christian has no need to every go backwards how are you going to retreat in a war that has already been won? That is exactly why there is not back plate only a breastplate for your front and not your back.

Doing what is right! The Bible has a lot to say about this word. It appears 302. Righteous is found 238 times in 225 verse.
It is not enough to know what is right we must do what is right.
He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ—the righteousness from God based on faith.
For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness.
This is why we need to belt of Truth to hold our Breastplate of Righteousness down. Because the world will lie to your, Satan will lie to you, your own flesh will want to believe the lies. You will be tempted to think the the terrible things people told you in your childhood are true. You will think you are ugly. You will remember when that supervisor said you are not a good leader.
But God does not see you as the world see you Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.
When God looks at you as a Christian He sees the righteousness of His one and only son.
What does the Bible say about him?
He is wonderful, councilor, the Everlasting, the prince or peace

He’s the king of Israel, He’s the king of Righteousness,
He’s the king of the ages, He’s the king of the Heaven,
He’s the king of Glory,
He’s the king of kings and he’s the Lord of Lords,
He’s the key to knowledge, He’s the Wellspring of Wisdom,
He’s the doorway of Deliverance, He’s the Pathway of Peace,
He’s the Highway of Holiness, He’s the Gateway of Glory.
He’s the roadway of Righteousness and it is in His righteousness that we stand and cover our vital organs because our righteousness is like tinfoil.
He is the Centerpiece of Civilization, He’s unparalleled,
He’s Unprecedented, He’s the Loftiest idea in literature,
He’s the highest personality in philosophy,
He’s the fundamental doctrine of true theology,
He’s the only one Qualified to be an All Sufficient Savior.
He is the only one righteousness enough to make us right and that is alright.

God puts His righteousness on us so that we remember that we belong to Him.
