Psalm 144:1-4 (David in distress)

Both in joy and distress, Job and David recognized God’s greatness.

8:2: Job’s words are like hot air

8:3: God is obviously judging Job because he has sinned.

8:4: Job’s children were killed because of their sin

8:6: Job is not as righteous as he claims to be.

Job responds

9:1-12: Who can stop God from doing what He wants to do, who has a right to question God?

9:13-14: Job says that he is not self righteous, but is powerless against God

9:20: Job says that he cannot justify himself. In fact, no man can justify himself, that is the work of God.
