Paul. He is writing from Rome in prison.
Who is the Letter to?
The church in Philippi
Why does he write this letter?
To remind Christians that joy isn't from comfort, rather, joy comes from communion with Christ.
He offers the church grace and peace, Why?

Timothy has been shown grace

3. The Gospel brings assurance(6-8)

God controls salvation until salvation is realized
Assurance is based upon grace
Assurance brings affection to one another

Growth in love
Growth in knowledge and discernment
Growth in holiness
Growth in Christ
Growth in glory and praise to God
