HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGHT?
Daniel 5:24-28
If you don’t learn from mistakes of history you will repeat them Nebuchadnezzar had a nervous breakdown and lived like an animal because he was prideful Learn from other people’s mistakes because you don’t have time to make all of them yourself The only real mistake you commit is the one from which you learn nothing 1 Cor.10 – Paul outlines mistakes of Israel so that we will not repeat them Your mistakes teach you lesson after burn, their mistakes teach you lesson before burn
Don’t underestimate the enemy If you know the enemy behind the walls don’t party – do warfare (Cain story, Judas’s) Enemy is not parting but planning Watch and pray not sleep so that you will not fall into temptation. Be sober for your enemy is walking like lion They didn’t have opposition – when enemy breaks in – is there a opposition You’re surrounded with self-confidence – this will not happen to me
Example: dating, marriage, murder He ignored the warning, didn’t repent, didn’t put soldiers on the wall and etc.
Your days are numbered Click here to know how many days you have left! Only God knows how many days you have left! Your life will be a dash on the tombstone People don’t for future far enough Don’t leave your riches to your enemies. Take them with you. What will you leave? Material things wouldn’t stand test of time; you can’t take it with you but you can send them ahead of you Every day you’re headed toward that day
You have been weighted and found wanting Scales are not good verses bad (my ticket) Scales are not you verses bad people Scales are God verses you (Is.40:15 – nations are like dust; Ps.62:9 – men are like vapor) God is the standard (1 Samuel 2:3) Mother Teresa can’t be a standard of your holiness nor Hitler standard of sinfulness Bible tells us to be merciful and perfect like our Father – He is our standard Prov.16:2 “All ways of men are pure in his own eyes but he Lord weights the spirits” God will put all your works on the scale (Rev.20:12) Belshazzar wasn’t weighted in the balance of god’s, friends, reputation, riches, influence Jesus steps on the scale – Jesus is perfect and God is perfect. We are branches, He is the Vine! Jesus is like a Trojan horse that we can get into through faith and repentance
What’s not fare is not for you to go to hell but for you to pay for what Jesus paid for. If there is way to go for free but you paid for it!
