1. FACEBOOK SURFING WHILE SICK – FIRED
A Swiss insurance worker called in sick because she said she couldn't work in front of a computer and needed to lie in the dark. She was fired for surfing Facebook while out sick, according to a Reuter’s story. The unnamed woman abused the trust of insurer Nationale Suisse, the company said, leading to the firing. The woman told a newspaper in Zurich that she had been surfing Facebook in bed on her iPhone. She accused her employer of spying on her and other employees by sending a friend request that allows access to personal online activity. Nationale Suisse rejected the accusation of spying and said one of the employee's colleagues had stumbled across her Facebook activity in November, before use of the social network site was blocked in the company.
2. INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS
Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd., the U.K. carrier controlled by billionaire Richard Branson, fired 13 cabin crew because of “inappropriate” comments on Facebook. The 13 people “participated in a discussion on Facebook, which brought the company into disrepute and insulted some of our passengers,” said Paul Charles, a spokesman for London-based Virgin Atlantic, via phone. He didn't give details of the comments, which have now been removed from Facebook. The messages included references to jet engines and hygiene on aircraft, the Guardian newspaper reported today, without saying how it obtained the information.
3. BORED AT WORK
Kimberley Swann thought her job was boring. So she said so on her Facebook page! Her employer, Ivell Marketing and Logistics of Clacton, U.K., gave her this update: Following your comments made on Facebook about your job and the company, we feel it is better that, as you are not happy and do not enjoy your work, we end your employment with Ivell Marketing & Logistics with immediate effect.; Miss Swann, 16, was stunned. She told the Daily Telegraph: I did not even put the company's name, I just put that my job was boring. They were just being nosy, going through everything. I think it is really sad, and it makes them look stupid that they are going to be so petty; We follow a zero tolerance social accountability standard, says the last sentence of the company’s missive. Perhaps firing Ms. Swann is an example of Ivell's zero tolerance social accountability.
4. EVICTED FROM HER APARTMENT
FOLKESTONE, England, April 13 (UPI) -- A British landlady said she has evicted two tenants who posted pictures of the house being trashed during wild parties on Facebook. Carolyn Lorimer, 26, said the tenants, a couple in their early 20s, fled the Folkestone, England, home after hearing of the eviction and left her with thousands of dollars worth of damage to the house and unpaid bills for rent and utilities, the Daily Mail reported Monday. "When I logged on to Facebook and saw the pictures I was absolutely shocked," Lorimer said. "I recognized it as my flat straight away and I couldn't believe what I was seeing -- people jumping on the furniture, dancing on the kitchen table, holes in the walls and smashed TVs. It looked like a slum." The landlady said the damage included holes in the walls and the destruction of a recently installed carpet. "It's the first flat I have ever let out and I never expected it to go wrong like this -- it's just been a total nightmare," she said.
5. STORIES. Just ask the 27 workers at the Automobile Club of Southern California fired for messages about colleagues on their MySpace sites; the Florida sheriff's deputy whose MySpace page revealed his heavy drinking and fascination with female breasts – and swiftly found himself handing in his badge; the Argos worker in Wokingham fired for saying on Facebook that working at the firm was "shit"; the Las Vegas teacher at a Catholic school fired after he declared himself gay on his MySpace page; the staff of an Ottawa grocery chain fired for their "negative comments" on Facebook; the 19 Northampton police officers investigated for Facebook comments; and Kevin Colvin, an intern at Anglo Irish Bank, who told his employers he had a family emergency, but whose Facebook page revealed he had, in reality, been cavorting in drag at a Hallowe'en party.
6. SOCIAL NETWORKING EFFECT ON MARRIAGE. The social networking site, which connects old friends and allows users to make new ones online, is being blamed for an increasing number of marital breakdowns. Divorce lawyers claim the explosion in the popularity of websites such as Facebook and Bebo is tempting to people to cheat on their partners. Suspicious spouses have also used the websites to find evidence of flirting and even affairs which have led to divorce. The Rev. Cedric Miller said 20 couples among the 1,100 members of his Living Word Christian Fellowship Church have run into marital trouble over the last six months after a spouse connected with an ex-flame over Facebook.
INTERESTING: It could make you depressed. Researchers from Stony Brook University in New York found that teenage girls who spend the most time discussing their lives with friends were more likely to be depressed. Apparently, spending too much time dwelling on gossip and your problems can make you feel worse, not better. The researchers didn't study Facebook in particular, but they indicated that social-networking sites such as Facebook made it easier for people to be in constant contact with friends and perpetuate the unhealthy discussions.
Social Networking is not your private bedroom but your front lawn!

- don’t use it during work – don’t post anything
- be positive about your faith, future, & your job and people
- don’t confess your sins on facebook, repent of them
- don’t post sexy pictures of yourself or half shirt off, it’s not porn or dating cite
- don’t post cursing words and words from secular artist – it shows you are not reading Bible but listening to JUNK
- don’t post anything to get back at someone – God will use that against you. It makes you feel better but not make you better
- don’t make facebook an idol – it’s free but takes up your time:

4. You update your status twice a day 5. You have over 500 friends of whom you never met 6. As soon as you get away from your computer you’re on facebook on your phone 7. You change your profile picture more than 12 old girl
8. You change your relationship status just to mess with people 9. You think your image is controlled by your profile image 10. As soon as you meet someone in real life you go and search them on facebook 11. You feel popular when someone tags you in a photo or when you have lots of likes 12. You post things just to get people like it or comment on it
