SHINING OUR LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
In 1986, when Gospel singer Amy Grant crossed over into the secular market, many Christians were outraged that people could turn to any rock radio station and hear Amy Grant sing about her love for Jesus. At a concert some time later, she confessed that she was in great pain over all the abuse and derision from Christians.
She responded, "Some people think I should stand in the light and give my witness. But I believe God has called me to stand in the dark, and there give off my light. I know there is danger in the dark, but God's Word has told that I'm all right as long as I don't lose sight of the light."
