One of the most successful coaches in the history of the National Football LEague was Vince Lombardi of the Green Bay Packers. He learned about "the fourth dimension" while coaching at Fordham University.

The three dimensions that are usually thought of as being the keys to success on the football field are: the quality of the players, the quality of the coaching, and the quality of the opposition.

Lombardi was concinced that the real key was the ""fourth dimension." According to Lombardi, "The fourth is selfless teamwork and collective pride, which accumulate unil they have made positive thinking a victory habitual."
