In describing his commitment to Christ, motivational speaker Zig Ziglar writes: "I will confess there are some things I have given up since I accepted Christ. I gave up staying awake at night, because I realized the Lord is going to be up anyway. I've given up worrying about tomorrow, because I know He is already there. I've given up my concern about financial obligations, because I realize that the Lord is just as concerned with my needs — even before I have them —as I am. Since He has the resources of the universe to handle the situation, I don't believe it's necessary for me to add my less-than-two-cents to the solution."
