James 3:1-12 | The Tongue

Yaakov’s heart for the church in our reading today is about learning the spiritual rhythms of pondering our words carefully, and holding back our initial responses to fix, or amend, or advise. You can’t share life communally if you refuse to share deeply with or refuse to understand one another. What is the point of professing your faith if you undermine it with your words?
