you for being here with us and I'm very grateful to be Out Of Reach here tonight and I'll be back with you this evening second, Kings, chapter 13, I said it's not a lot of wildlife left in Vietnam and it's all been killed and eaten. Unfortunately, that was the day that I was with my interpreter and it was the red one of the red signs that a pigeon fly, landed nearby. We saw this is Pigeon sitting there and then you do it for me. Hehehe awesome. Have you ever eaten one of those? And I said I said all that delicious. Another time I was in the park with him in these big trees with little squirrels that live in them and so out of curiosity and kind of mob. Joking. I said the people here at 8:30 Is like a stupid questions. Of course I hate them if you're going to eat it.

Is an animal in Vietnam called the seller. It's a kind of deer and they call it the Asian unicorn, because it's so rare. They believe that today, there are perhaps less than 100 remaining. They inhabit. The mountains between Vietnam and Laos and they were only recently discovered in 1992 is winning Western countries. First discover these animals are in, Vietnam me read you. This is from a wildlife conservation website. Only recently, discovered the cell light is already extremely threatened at a time. When species Extinction on the planet has accelerated, we can work together from the edge of Extinction. We know that Extinction is a reality in nature and there are species of animals that have disappeared from the face of the Earth. They no longer exist today. That's all I want to use that idea to highlight a spiritual truth tonight. And then he said, Extinction is possible also in the kingdom of God. I remember those a time when we were still here, in Maryland, was talking to an elderly lady one day about her church hearing merrylands. These are her words. Not mine. She said my church is full of old people. She said, I look out over the congregation and I only see gray headed people, her words, not mine, one day, there will be no one left in out Church. It is possible that a move of God becomes extinct. It is possible that within your family within your city. Christianity becomes extinct and the only hope of stopping that is what we call discipleship. I'll text that we're going to read from 2nd Kings mocks, the end of an era. It's the death of Elijah. The sad reality of his story is that prophetic Ministry, died with Elisha, it became extinct and the reason that was sold is because there was no one to receive from Elijah. What God was wanting to pass through that, man of God, tonight about resisting Extinction from 2nd, Kings, chapter 13, we're going to read just two verses of scripture here. Verse 20 verse 21, the Bible says Ben Elijah. I lied. They buried him in the writing bands from Moab invaded the land in the spring of the year. So it was as they were burying. A man that suddenly they spied a band of Raiders. They put the man in the Tomb of Elijah and when the man was let down and touch the bones of Elijah, he revived and stood on his feet. What a story. Let's talk about resisting Extinction. Let's begin with Van Elijah died. It's a fascinating story. Some people are burying. We don't really know who it is. That bearing? A loved one that had the funeral. Everybody said the final farewells and they've, they've gone to this place to bury the body and no doubt this family members, their their weeping about this and suddenly, they realize there are so many me nearby. There are some dangerous people nearby. And so they look around and for some reason, this is this grave. It's open. It's the grave of Elijah. And so they take the body and they, they just dump it into. This grave is like our, let's get out of here. Imagine being that guy, that died. The last thing that you remember before you died with something like you're lying, babe, you're on life support. And then the other families there and you'll sing Uncle Joey that I stole that $100.

Everybody's there that weeping over him and he's in heaven, he's in the glory of God, he's enjoying himself and then all of a sudden he comes back and then he has to run for his life again because these people there they want to kill him, just it's such a bizarre. But it's something more significant here than just a dead person coming back to life. What we are reading is a missed opportunity. We are reading about untapped potential. I'll text you says in verse 20, then Elijah died. After this time, there will not be another prophet in Israel for the next 40 years. Because at this time in history, Elijah died when Elijah was taken to Heaven by the fiery Chariot. Ally, she was there to pick up Elijah's Mantle and continued on his ministry. Elijah would go on to have Twice The Miracles, credited to his ministry, then to Elijah's, but then Elijah died and was buried and there was no one to pick up his mantle. There was no one available to take the Baton from Elijah and continue running in Ministry. There was no prophetic and prophetic Ministry in Israel for the next three years because Elijah died and there was no one there to continue on his legacy. And the reason I say that this is a tale of untapped potential is because we have this picture of the power and the anointing invested into Elijah. That went to the Grave with him. This dead man, that is hastily lowered down into the grave. And when he came into contact with Elijah's corpse, he was resurrected. When Elijah was taken to heaven the power and the anointing in the ministry was passed on to Elijah when Elijah. It was not passed on.

God's plan for reaching the Earth and God's plan for developing people is discipleship. Discipleship is simply investing who you are as a disciple of Jesus Christ into another person. It is causing another person to know Jesus and know his will for their life and to follow him and fulfill the calling that God has for their life. Discipleship is not that you cut your hair, the same way you dress, the same, or you share the same Hobbies. Discipleship is a passing on of spirit when Elijah was taken, people looked at Elijah, and then they said, the spirit of Elijah rests upon Elijah. Something was passed on more than what he looked like more than how he spoke. There was a spiritual Dimension who like it was. As a man of God was received by Elijah. We have the famous words in the New Testament of the Apostle, Paul 2nd Timothy 2 verse 2, And the things that you've heard from me among many witnesses. Commit, these two Faithful Men Who will be able to teach others. Also, holy saying to Timothy, you must be intentional about discipleship. You must be intentional about something being passed on. And he mentioned, Faithful Men, that there are people who have positioned themselves to receive from another Jesus said, go therefore and Make Disciples of all the nations, this is God's plan, that something would Supernatural be passed to you and that you would To another. And what we see now text that this opportunity to receive from another will not be there forever. Then Elijah died. There's an opportunity to receive from another but it's a window of opportunity. I mentioned yesterday, if in Vietnam is a very strong belief in ghosts, I mentioned yesterday doing my interpreter, he has an auntie who gets possessed by a spirit who she claims is his dead uncle and the neighbors gather around and she begins to speak as if she is this man. And she Strokes her imaginary beard and smoke cigarettes. And she speaks and people gather around to listen because what she's saying is accurate,

Is this belief that when someone dies for round a month, 12 something getting prepared for them in the afterlife. And for about a month, they going to be present, I'll be in their familiar places. I'll be in the whole minutes in that time that you might see them again, you might be able to speak to them again. And it's this idea, they have more left, the site so they come back. But that's not reality. Then Elijah died the time for his ministry on the earth is finished. Commentators say he ministers to somewhere between 55 and 65 years is a long time to be operating as a profit but no matter how long it lasts. It will end. And the question is, what happens next? Will it be carried on? There are people in your life that you should be receiving from. God has placed people in your life because there is something in them that God wants you to have. 2013, we were here in Maryland. Been here for about 18 months at the end of 2013, Papua, New Guinea, and on the morning that was preparing to fly back to Sydney. I got a call from my wife to tell me pasta. Neil Prosser had died. And pasta near was my posture. That time. He had been my pasta for the entirety of my salvation. In fact, he was my parents pasta when they go see it being posturing and down for round 35 years. When I receive that news, it was an absolute shock to me because even though I knew that he was sick, I just felt like he's not going to go anywhere anytime soon. He was not a young man but I didn't feel like he was that old either. And so I just felt like I have more time and when he died of course, I felt sadness, I felt lost. But if I'm honest in the time that followed I also felt regret because Elijah had nowt died. That window is not closed and I felt like I could have called more. I could have asked more questions. There was more I could have received from him. My relationship with my pasta was good, but what I was feeling is the reality of that text one. Dave, the time for receiving will be finished, you don't have forever to receive from that. Why was it that Elijah stayed? So close to Elijah in the time before he was taken, is because he recognized I don't have much longer. I don't have forever to receive from this man. And I want everything God has for my life. And I recognize that this man is the vessel through, which God Will Supply me with those things. I don't want to waste my time on other things, and people are telling me, don't go any further with him. Just stay here and wait, till he comes back. I want to be with him, I don't want to be distracted on other things. I want to be with the man of God, receiving his spirit God is giving you a pastor, God has given you leaders, he has placed people in your life, for your sake, for your benefit. 0 things that God has invested in those people that can and should be passed to you. This is his method of equipping you for his will. This is God's design that blessing would flow to you, but understand something tonight. You don't have forever. This is a window of opportunity because Elijah died. Edwin, Elijah died, anointing and Ministry and Spiritual Authority, died with him. Because certain people failed to recognize God wants me to receive from that person. Let's talk, secondly, about getting in the right position. We were out of Australia. When Tik-Tok started to blow up. And so I don't know what kind of impact it's had here, but in Vietnam, it is ridiculous. Everyone's it take talker. I go out to the park. I go to the shopping center and these girls in groups of two or three and they doing these stupid choreographed dances together. Now, setup a tripod in the shopping center with. I'll have one of their friends feeling them and they don't care who's looking. I first saw it. I thought this is so stupid. I'm just going to stare at them and try to embarrass them because in their mind, I'm going to be famous. If I convinced if I just do this long enough, someone's going to discover me and I'm going to become famous. There's a guy in Vietnam, he would record himself. Singing songs in English counting. That's it counting, like from 1 to 10 that was the song. And it was discovered by a new Wiz, Khalifa's some, some idiot, anything. He discovered this guy.

Singing numbers.

SEC. Discovered a man on Earth came and did a collaboration with him in and today is famous in Vietnam, people like this. I did, I could be discovered just like Justin Bieber and it's the idea that this could be mine if I'm in the right place. That's the reality of discipleship. That we must Precision ourselves in the right place. In order to receive what God has for us. Just ask the man in a text to his den. He knows if you were in the right place, incredible things can happen. He came back to life. The sad reality of Elijah's life, is that there was no one there. Ready to receive from him, what God was wanting to pass on? So who was the missing, man? Jose was get hazel eye. Yeah, he's I was there when Elijah raised the shunammite woman. Son. Back to life. He was there when Naaman. The Syrian General came in need of healing from leprosy. He saw the miracle, take place. He should have been the one to continue on Elijah's Legacy but he wasn't. He made choices that took him away from discipleship and in the end, read the story yourself, the hazel-eyed died. A leper outside of the will of God for his life. And when we look at the Hazel as life, we can see what was missing. And through that, we can see what must be part of our Lives. If we want to experience all that, God has for us through this vessel called discipleship. Number one, we must have a vision for the future and this is what your Hazel. I failed to see. My future will be determined by the choices I make. I can choose God's Will and receive from another man, or I can choose another path that leads away from God's will. I remember pasta Mitchell talking about how he's the man who went nowhere because if you know the story, you know that often a man was healed. He was so grateful for what it happened and his condition that he been wrestling with for so long and couldn't get any way you can find any solution for them was miraculously healed of his leprosy and so you wanted some bless the man of God. He said his stuff with me. I've got silver, a good goal to go clothing with what do you want to give it to you? And Elijah said no, it's fine. I don't need any of that. I'm not doing it for the money and I can get hazel. I heard all of that happening and I need to slide it. I'm going to sneak out the back door. I'm going to chase down name and I'm going to get some of this stuff from him and so he calls him down and he says all you know what? Something happened in these guys appeared out of nowhere and we going to put a quick pizza Fellowship on but we need some extra money. We need some extra clothing. Do you have any that are still available and he hates this stuff goes back. And Elijah confront him about it. Where did you go and get hazel? I famously says I didn't go anywhere and that's exactly what happened. He went nowhere. His future in God was full fitted. You think God has a plan for your life. There are things that he wants you to experience things that he wants to do in you and through you. But he has chosen that many of those things will take place in the context of discipleship, Ephesians 4 verse 8. When he ascended on high you let captivity captive and gave gifts to me, what were those gifts. Verse 11 tells us, he himself, gave some to be Apostles, some profit, some Vangelis, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the Saints for the work of ministry. In other words, God has a will for you dominion and fruitfulness and blessing in your future but you're not equipped for it yet. So God says I'm going to give you a gift. I'm going to give you a posture. And this is how I will equip you for what I'm going to do in your life. And so if you want everything God has for you and your future, you must be willing to receive this equipping. You must be able to recognize my future will be determined by the choices I make in the context of discipleship and not only your future but there are people coming out to you, who depend on you, having something to pass on. It was a gap whole. It was his vacuum of ministry and Israel because guys like had no vision for the future, we must have people who are passing on who we are as believers who we are. As a fellowship people who would understand. I can make choices that would be hindered what God is wanting to do in my life. And in the lives of others, I must be in the right place. I must prioritize this because my future depends on it. Our future depends on it. Secondly, we must recognize I need for discipleship. India has on his mind. This is not a big deal. I don't really need Elijah, I can do this on my own 2nd Kings 5 in verse 20. Make the Haze by the servant of Elisha, the man of God said, look my monster has spanned name in this Syrian. Well not receiving from his hands when he brought but as the Lord lives, I will run off to him and take something from him. God was trying to guide and help get hey. So I threw a man but he couldn't see it. All he saw was a man telling and what he couldn't do now is not the time to receive Wealth Advisors. I thought I don't need him. I know better. But if we're going to find all that God has for us, we must recognize. I need this. This is God's plan for me. We, we read about Elijah walking along and sing Elijah out working in the field and Elijah throws his mantle on to Elijah and Elisha didn't say, well thanks for the offer but it's just me and God and that's all I need you recognized. I need to be disciple. There are things in my life that will only be developed in the context of discipleship. So the question is, who is it in your life that you're receiving from? Whose disciple are you?

Was just me and Jesus. We don't see that in the Bible. what we see in the Bible, is those who are not right with their headship would not right with God, Those who didn't position themselves to be disciple. Missed the will of God. We can talk about Soul. He felt like he didn't need Samuel but when he decided I don't need Samuel. I can do this on my own. It was at that moment that God said I have removed my hand. From you, you not be king. We could talk about Aaron and Miriam. Who said? We don't need Moses. God can just speak to us. And God said, no, that's not my plan. And judgment fell upon them or others, who for them. They wouldn't in Rebellion to their head. Should they just didn't stick around Dimas? Who is the New Testament that he's like, Paul said, and 2nd Timothy 4:10, for demons has forsaken me, having loved this present world and has departed and we never hear about demons again. Disappeared. Just like a he's lying because he thought I don't need pull. I'm going to make it on my own. But listen, discipleship is a gift. The people God places in your life, it's a gift. He wants to help you and equip you in an able you, but he's chosen to do that through a human vessel and no matter how gifted you are, no matter how wise you are, no matter how experienced you off, you would never come to a place where you can save. I no longer need to be discipled because this is God's plan for you. Certainly, we must understand Our obligation. I must understand it's on me to receive it. When it comes to discipleship. It's on me to receive from another. It Was Elijah. Who said, I will say close to Elijah after Elijah was taken. It was Elijah, who picked up Elijah's Mantle and struck the water. It Was Elijah who cried out? Where is the god of Elijah? Because he knew this is on me. Thank God for the past about a pastas of a fellowship. Thank God for pasta Johnny, thank God, that we are intentional about making disciples in our churches. But no matter how intentional out pasta job, no matter how gifted and charismatic a person is no one can make you be discipled. No one can force you to receive from a man. It's on me to recognize that person weather. That's your posture was some leader in your church. They have been given to me as a gift and I must take advantage of this opportunity to receive from them because when you do that, you are saying. I know that one man cannot do this alone. Pasta Wayman Mitchell inspired a generation multiple Generations, but if no one was disciple, all of this now would be finished. It's never about one man. It's about God's purpose is being accomplished in the Earth from one generation to another. It Was Elijah and Elisha. And then there was no one. I'm not talkin about perfect leaders or perfect Pasta because they don't exist. I'm talking about you coming to terms with the reality that if you're going to do the will of God, if you're going to experience the fruitfulness that God wants to give it is your responsibility to position yourself as a disciple,

Have you watch their the NRL has been some time. Now since I've been able to follow the NRL but I remember watching play is like Johnathan Thurston. He would, he would convert a try from the sidelines, it's just amazing. You be able to make these kicks in and just in the ankle and everybody wants to take him out, he's got the bowl because everybody knows he's the one with the golden foot and everybody's trying to get to this man, and he would kick this ball in such a way that would land exactly where he wanted it to land was just incredible watching someone like that play. But it means nothing Johnathan Thurston. Everybody who follows a narrow nose that name but it it means nothing. If it's not someone at the end of the field, waiting to catch that bowl. Yeah, I just realized I'm in New South Wales. It's really not a good good name.

Someone must be there to catch what's being kicked. No one would say wow what a kick, if it lands in Dead Space and there's no one there to take the ball. God is play. Some kick is in your life and now it falls to you to be in place and to receive what it is that God wants you to have. Let's finish and talk badly about multiplying power. Listen to Elijah's desire, 2nd Kings 2, verse 9. So it was when they cross the river. That Elijah said to, Elijah asked what may I do for you before. I am taken away from you. Elijah said, please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me. Another translation it says, please let me inherit A double share of your spirit and become your successor. No doubt. You know, the history there are twice as many miracles recorded as being performed by Elijah than Elijah. God determined, I will move twice as much through Elijah, because this was his desire. Let me continue what God is doing through Elijah. In fact, some commentators say that's the reason for a text that Elijah raised one person back to life from the dead and wall Elijah up, there was a live. He also raised one dead person back to life but God had determined to do twice as much here is this his his body lying in a grave, a dead man is loaded onto his body and Brew me comes back to life twice as many men and resurrections is Elijah mission accomplished. I don't know how accurate that is. But my point is this that God multiplies blessing through discipleship. That's the sad reality of this one. Could have been got hazel eyes. What could have been anyone's who made themselves available? What could they have had four times the Miracles? because God multiplies what he is done in the life of one man into the life of another Even Jesus said John 14:12 I told you the truth. Anyone who believes in me will do the same works. I have done an even greater works because I'm going to be with the father of the disciples receive from Jesus, and then in their own life and in their own Ministry, they experienced incredible Miracles and conversions and fruitfulness. Psalm 133 verse to it is like the precious oil upon the head. Running down on the beer to be the Veteran running down to the edge of his garments. This oil that represents the presence and the power of God's spirit flowing from one man to another, a person who is positioned to receive from that man. What God has ordained? Elijah said, I want a double portion of what God has done in Elijah. Because we're not just talkin about more of that man. Ultimately, what God wants to give us is more than, what any person can give it is the blessing of God in that person's life, that will be passed to you. What are the God can give? Anointing. Dominion. Fruitfulness Miracles, provision. God will multiply from one to another. But it's found in the context of discipleship. My regular prayer is God, I claim the legacy of a fellowship. The Miracles, the church has planted influence in the Earth. I claim the blessing of my posture, you know, my my my pasta is my dad lost the woods and he tells me these stories are we we needed some money where things are a little bit tight and so I just I pray and I said, God, I've been a faithful tither. I'm taking you at your word. I believe that you provide and you will, you work a miracle, we need a miracle, and finances. In like the next day, that's $20,000 that shows up in the account as not just one off, is telling me stories all the time. $14,000. I don't even know where it came from. And I pray. God, give me that. Let a double portion of his Spirit be upon my life. His face his conference in God, his experiences with God. And the reason I'm bold enough to pray, that is because I believe that this is God's promise, to me, this should be normal. This is the pattern we see in the Bible and this is God's promise to you. That he will multiply blessing through discipleship. The decision that you must make is, do you want God's blessing? Really, that's what it comes down to. I do really like his personality and I said, this to me, I ate winked at me and I don't know what they talkin about. It's not about that. Do you want God's blessing in your life? Will I position myself in such a way that God's blessing floor to my life? Hey man, let's pray with you about your head tonight, we believe God to help us as we finish. Thank God. God is here, administering. God is here to help us.

Hey man, we're going to spend some time in prayer tonight before we finish. Maybe you're here and you're not right with God. And maybe everything I've said tonight hasn't been fully understood and maybe This is your first time in church. Maybe if it's not your first time, maybe you've heard all this before. But my question to you, before we go any further, simply this, if you would have died tonight. Where would you go? For all of eternity. Would it be Heaven or Hell? Are you forgiven of your sins in the Bible says, we must be born again. It means that something went wrong. The first time we were born with a sinful nature, is the reason why it's so easy for us to do those things that we know that we shouldn't do is call the, what the Bible calls a sinful nature and is supposed to send that keeps us separated from God. It's the sin that must be removed and paid for from our lives. If we experience the reality of God, and forgiveness and Heaven, You must be forgiven of your sins. Being born again. Simply means you get a chance to start again. God wants to give you that new start tonight. You can be forgiven of your sin. You can know God in your life personally, if you're not right with God, I'm not going to hold this very long tonight. If you're not forgiven of your sin, we want to have somebody pray with you. There's people here. They're going to help. You are going to lead you in a pray. We can find the forgiveness in the acceptance of

As you would turn from your sin, say God, I believe that you are able to forgive me. The Bible teaches us that God loves you so much that he sent his son Jesus to die in your place. Hey, the price the penalty for your sin. so that by faith, you could claim that By faith. You could make a choice. Say oh my God, I believe. Jesus, did that for me? Am I asking you to forgive me my sin? Come into my life. Help me to follow you. I want to experience your your grace and your blessing. In my life. I want to make Heaven. My home is that you tonight, right? Where you said it, would you lift your hand while it's in your head? And you're saying that to me, I need someone to pray with me, lift your head. If that's you you don't ride with. You need to be forgiven of your sins. Did you going to heaven when you die a conference? God knows me and I know him. This is the reason I was created. It's to know. God, would you lift your hand tonight? You don't save your backslidden your way from God. It's a knot you'd make things right. So, yes, that's me. Use my hand. I need God's forgiveness. I want to turn to him tonight. I want to be forgiven I want to be forgiven, would you lick your hand? What church? I preach this tonight not because I I send some undercurrent going on. I, I preach this because I, I believe this, I preach this because it's something I must remind myself off that. I am a disciple and I always will be because the blessing of God, for my life, is reserved for discipleship. I will. There are things that God wants to develop in my life, in my relationships, in my family, and my work, ethic in my Ministry, and my fruitfulness, that will only be developed through discipleship. I understand I must be intentional about this. Just as I must be intentional about discipling others. I must be intentional about being disciple because I want to my life and I want. What is my pasta has to be? To me. The same is true of you. I know that is obvious from other churches here. Whoever your posture is The Bible tells us he is a gift to you. God places people in your life who are in some area of authority over you. They are a gift to you. God wants to do things in your life. He doesn't often through a human vessel. You can limit what God wants to do in your life and even in the lives of those who come off to you based on the decisions you make in the context of discipleship. Would you position yourself? Would you set your heart and the direction of your life? To be disciple. If you would allow the man of God access to your life. You receive from God through that man. Without God's blessing to Flow To You God wants to multiply blessing from one to another. Hey man, I want to give you some time to praise. God has spoken with you when you buy you to find a place that this all to let Stand Together. These altars are open this. Speak to God tonight. Let's make some decisions as he sold two before we finish this evening, perhaps a recommitment, perhaps a commitment for the first time, I'm going to set myself to be discipled. I'm going to be intentional about this. I'm going to be aware, that this is going to affect those who come to me. I must have something to pass on to others. I am going to focus my life on discipleship because this is the will of God for me. Let's lay hold of God tonight. Let's receive God's blessing in our lives as we make ourselves available to his will. It spray church. Thank god. Father, we glorify your name. We bless you. Father, I pray movie that sold
