That is God's desire for both his children and his church, as evidenced in the scriptures.
Jesus said, in Matthew 5:8, blessed are the pure in heart.
Paul told young Timothy set, an example for all believers and faith in love.
And in Purity, Colossians chapter 3, Galatians chapter 5 we are worn.

Paul in the book of 2nd Corinthians says it is his desire to present the church to the Lord Jesus Christ as pure.
And his words as pure as a virgin.
I want you to notice in the text today how Luke starts in verse 12 now Such a simple and a small word now.
His use of the word.
Now is very similar to the use of the word therefore in the scriptures.
What he's indicating here is a moving on.
I'm moving on word from where they have been a reference to what they have just walked through.
