Definition of Marriage

Marriage is a God ordained complimentary union between a man and woman, oriented towards procreation, covenantal, and lifelong.

God Ordained

God is the creator of marriage.
Matthew 19:4-6 “He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.””
17,428 people groups in the world. According to my research, all but 2 have marriage as part of their cultures.
Marriage, as an institution, primarily serves society, not individuals or couples.
