Here we have instruction given by James in how we are to respond to trials.
I don’t need to tell anyone that in this life we are going to face trials.
But the encouragement in these trials is that we can trust in God through our faith to produce endurance through trial.
I am thankful that we serve a God that loves us.
We know a God who cares for us.
He watches over us.
He directs our steps and equips us in times of trial.
We do not serve a god that just rolled the dice and said I hope everything works out for ya.
We are loved by a God who seeks to be in fellowship with us.
He came to us in the person of Jesus to Redeem and impart us with hope.
Count it a joy to know Him.
Count it a joy to be filled with His love and mercy and to know His grace.
It is a joy.
In this verse James tells us the result of our faith.
The result of our faith in trial brings forth iys perfect result in our being made complete in the Lord.
This alludes back to the calling of Abraham.
God instructs Abraham to walk before Him and be blameless.
Sounds impossible.
The word uses for blameless in the Hebrew is the word Tamim.
This word means to be made whole, complete or to lack nothing.
Brothers and sisters, it is only in our faith in Jesus our Savior that we can be made whole.
Complete.
Perfected in His Redemption.
Again, we are loved by a God,
We are loved by a Savior who cares for us.
He came down to this earth taking on the form of mankind to rescue us from sin.
He does not want to allow us to wallow in the misery of sin.
He saves.
He redeems.
He restores us to a place of hope in Him.
How great is our God, Amen!
I am thankful that He came to get me.
Here we have another promise.
Wisdom.
Discernment.
Again, we are loved by a God who does not leave us without recourse.
He does not leave us to suffer in sin, temptation of trial.
He offers us His wisdom.
He says to ask for wisdom, discernment in how to navigate the difficulties in this world and he will give us just a little bit?????
He will give us a little bit of wisdom?
No, it says He will give us His wisdom in abundance, generously.
So that we are not tosses to a fro by the waves of our ever-changing society.
We are loved by a God who offers stability.
We are cared for by a Savior who endured the ultimate trial of the cross on our, my behalf.
We are filled with the Holy Spirit offering us hope, truth, grace and the wisdom to stand firm in faith.
Be Thankful.
Be Thankful, we know a God who saves.
