Why is we thank you for this Christmas season? There were coming up on and we ask and pray that our hearts might be open to the awareness of you not just to the awareness of you as you came into this world. But the purpose and the reason for which you came into this world, you might minister to those who are in need that. You might pay for those who have a sim problem that they cannot take care of, which is every single one of us, we are incapable of dealing with our own sin but you provided Escape restoration to God and the path were in. We can live the righteousness. The righteousness of God in our very own lives by the spilling of your spirit. And by the out working of the word of God within us. We thank you for all of that. This morning, we take our gaze and we turn it to your word to the expression of Truth. We pray the doctrine, Mike resonate in our hearts, we fight might find ourselves resonating with the word of God. We might recognize who we are and what this afternoon road is the. We are on. We might not be discouraged, but we might be in Courage by the outpouring of your ministry in our lives, Ms to us and through us all these things, we pray in the Blessed name of our Lord and savior Christ. Jesus.

alright, so

Few weeks till Christmas and we do plan on having the regular scheduled meeting times on Christmas. And if you have early morning, kids who need to come and climb out and get their presents or whatever, for you going to be there with them or you're out of town, then you're excused to go ahead with our with our Standard Time as part of our worship, might be a special message on the menu will see what the Holy Spirit can craft between now and then I don't know if you think he's good enough to do something and I don't know.

so, while we are in James 3:1, Where we read my brother, and let not many of you become teachers knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgement. A stricter judgment and we have reviewed the history and timeline of the Book of James and immersed, ourselves in the very history recorded in the text of the Bible itself about what was happening at the time. The Book of James was recorded and you missed several people come up and tell me, they appreciated that and We do have the recording along with the slides and if you did miss it, for some reason, you can go back. Just let me know and I'll text message it to you. We don't have a good rapport pository for the sound slide. At this point. We have repository, for, for the audio recording, lonely will have to text you. Each of the individual messages, if you want to see the sound or give the sound at your computer and watch the slides as they go across, which I think helps with the teaching at least the way I'm delivering it now, so I'm all conservative. Non-liberal scholarship is pretty much in agreement with James Peron. This important epistle. Prior to the Jerusalem Council, that is recorded and Acts chapter 15. In Acts chapter 15. We have that great Council. That was called by the coming off of the Apostle Paul cuz he was being accused of teaching in properly when actually people are coming and teaching falsely to his Converse and so he came up to Jerusalem so that there wouldn't be any more of this. Well Jerusalem said, so Paul went to Jerusalem to make sure that everything was clear, he confronted the Council of Jerusalem Here's this nobody Apostle Paul people heard of him, but they didn't know him. He wasn't around with Jesus. He wasn't there for the Miracles. He wasn't there at the death, crucifixion, and resurrection of our Lord. Jesus Christ. Has he come from, what right does? He have getting off saying that, he knows proper Doctrine and we don't. Well, he came up to the church or up to Jerusalem, to the temple, where they all gather together. Who may have a little powwow if you will. Everyone got their Indian feathers out? They sat down around the campfire. They started to pull out the Buffalo to roast and they said they got to work and gave him his understanding of the gospel and also brought them up to speed on his background that Peter had connected with him. Some of the leaders of the church knew who he was, where he came from, but this meeting need to happen. It was designated and ordained by God for his purposes. And at that point, it became clear that there was a gospel message that needed to be spread to the Gentiles. Paul had a burden for the Jews, and yet he was called to the Gentiles. And so, with his burden constantly burning for the Jews, he was out there teaching and ministering, an Avenged lysing. Gentiles. Those unbelievers who didn't know anything of Judaism, which Paul and his own attestation, is the jittery Judy weisser of all judaizers. If there is anyone who is representative of a Jew, it was Paul. And yet, he is the Apostle to the Gentiles. And here in Jerusalem and Acts chapter 15, he gives his piece and then James, the leader of the church at that time and the author of our book. Gave his confession says go out, we only ask that you do these four things that you might be able to carry the gospel to Jews. Of course, that was the very one thing that Paul held, most dear and wanted to do so that was, of course, not a problem. We're going to run into that this week of Lord willing. If we get to that point in the, in the teaching,

so now,

All conservative non-liberal scholarship is in agreement that James penned, this important, a pistol, the first written document to. And for the church hoodie pendant wire 2, best Jerusalem Council is recorded in Acts 15 and intimacy pistol at the beginning of the second section which corresponds to the. If you remember, our organization is slow to speak. Portion of the outline of the pistol. We see this in James 1:19, you said. So then my beloved Brethren, let every man be swift to hear slow to speak and slow to wrath. We find but Loosely our entire Epistle of James wraps around those three posts. Arrest the stool of his message on the three legs that will support it. If you will, we have the concept of being Swift to hear that it is listening to go taking in Divine Viewpoint, orienting to the word, not being a listener only but being a doer.

And with that said, there should be reverberations of conviction where we have not actually done the word of God but we have listened only, we take it in Doctrine, I love that house that apply to my life.

So James comes down and he says, you know, who do that or like a person who glances at your face in the mirror and you immediately forget what you look like as you walk away. Well, that would be me. I glad somebody mirror and then I have no clue afterwards, what I look like.

Can you say? We wish you did? Did you pay more attention to that?

Remember we have our second section where we are to be slow to speak with swift to hearing is orienting to God's word. What it's about orientation to God's word, is what the Swift to hear is about him. Not just orienting to understand it, but orienting to have our souls being the doors on that. Those of you who know the vocabulary epignosis of a full it is that more mature knowledge that comes from experience in the coming up on Ministry of the holy spirit. Wear in God, Blends for us, Bible Doctrine, truth with our situational reality, and we have the maturity. We know how that is expressed in life. God, the Holy Spirit, then takes it and places it in that compartment of our soul. That we Cycle it and reuse it and keep it going. It is a point of reference for our thinking. So that is in that first section being Swift to hear. And then slow to speak. Here, we find that Paul is doing something different now. He hasn't quite left off. 1B slow down the Swift to hear, which is why verse one of this passage is a little bit. You need all the rest of the passage is talking about the time, the barrel. What you say, how simple the things are that come out of your list, how unmindful we are actually carrying what we say. Because our mentality, our thinking our soul overflows through her mouth, and sometimes we just don't give a rip. And so we say what it is, that we think there's an old adage that the older you get. The more you're able to just say whatever you think will that would be just the opposite of what scripture teaches. You know, there is another as you were when you were a child. So you will become when you're an adult somewhat true. I actually in a little bit worried about that day, I was a little too outspoken as a child. I had a tendency to insulting and say things that were hard for people to hear because well, So I don't want necessarily return to that. I'm praying that the Lord is actually massage my soul and massage you in the oil with his word, that I might be more flexible to hear him more responsive to him. So that what comes out of my lips at those times is more appropriate. We can all pray that now we find in this second section on the topic of speech that the leader of the church at Jerusalem wants to front load the discussion about speech. I'm talking about James 31 here with comments about teaching and teachers, before we get into speech, Let's transition from listening to the word of God. Two teachers, who engage with their mouths teaching by speech and then the rest of the subject of the tongue which will tie it together. So, the first one is a transitional Point to get us from A to B, from major subject, a that is quick to listen to Major subject be, which is slow to speak.

And what is Paul's conclusion? What is his? Excuse me? Paul James. What is James conclusion here? What is he say when it comes to the subject of teachers? Don't do it? Teachers are to be accountable for their words in fact, more strictly accountable. If you get up and teach you put a Target right between your eyeballs. Right on your forehead, you have the Target because you are accountable for what you say and support to a James's Point here to what you teach. Now our investigation movie history about James of this epistle and the wife of James and when he wrote this epistle, showed us that there were many false teachers at the time that James wrote this epistle back, Paul was running into them. Even as he's goin up to Jerusalem and ax15 he ran into false teachers tried to tell him along the way that he was that he was a false teacher.

I'm through the early church, there seem to have been waves of incoming false teachers that continually broke over the young church as it were just like the Relentless waves of the ocean. So too there has and always will be relentless waves of false teaching they come in and try to in Nunda the church. So I gave us synopsis for you before or definition Falls teachers for those who teach error and in so doing they lead others astray.

Last week we began a review of the false teaching in the New Testament based on its being mentioned, in the text of scripture. Another words we have been doing a synopsis or review of the accounts were false teaching, is brought up in Scripture. So we're looking at what scripture says about the concept because it's specially as we're dealing with false teachers. Who cares? What anyone else says? We need to know what scripture says about false teachers and once properly oriented to what scripture says, then we can be accountable to the proper place for the place that matters. Not what I think, not what I say again, I don't want to teach what someone else teaches I want us to review. What scripture says here, so we are quite pointedly doing that.

So, here's the question.

Why should we spend any time on. Or false teachers? Shouldn't we stick to the gospel? Positive teaching? Can't we just review what's ride and just stopped dealing with all this? What's wrong? I don't care about what's wrong. I don't care about what they teach, are they teacher? He teaches for she teaches or was taught then or will be taught in the future. I just care about what's right. I've heard that Express even by members of this congregation while John was teaching through. Teaching,

And keep your hat on. Keep your blinders on, keep your poker face up because I'm not trying to speak to any of you individually. Because I heard you personally at that time complaining about what John was doing. And here's the thing why do we teachers teach about what's wrong in about false teaching? Because we're commanded to buy, God. Scripture tells us we must do this to protect the flock and we are the Sheep. We are the flock therefore we must be aware of these things that only teach about that, that's all we teaching out. Know we go through scripture and as we go through it, we will come across passages and will be currently there. One thing I think you might take away from the teaching today, is this There may be a lot more said on the subject and a lot more exhortation to be aware of this than you are aware of. So we're going to unleash a few of these were going to bring a few of these up to the up to the front as we're working our way through that survey. so, the last week we took a look at

False teachers. So we worked our way through a good amount of the inventory of what's out there. We looked at the Old Testament, Prophet, warnings, against false teaching and then we took a look at Jesus Christ, himself condemning false teaching when we saw as we pulled out verse afterbirth, passage after passage where Jesus Christ was opposed to legalism and hypocrisy. And he identified who those people were and spoke to the subject. Are you? Shua Jesus identified, teachers of the law and Pharisees as false teachers.

And he warned his followers against who not to follow on what not to follow. Interesting because there are entire lengthy chapters where Jesus Christ is talking about the Pharisees and the Sadducees and you will find in the text that he says, do not be like them.

Figured you might think that would be enough just for receipts. I just see these. Scribes just don't be like them, that's it, right? But it goes on and on and on and on and on, and on, and on, and on, and on describing what it is, if they're doing and what's going on. So if our Lord did that, then maybe we need a little bit of patients on the same subject as well. So when we come to it in the future, once we're past this be patient as we're dealing with the issue of false, teachers and false teaching it is for your good. It is for your protection and perhaps God has gifted you to be a minister and other people's lies in which case you need to know a few things as well. So that you can be properly ministering to those that God has placed in your life. As well. So

We Begin jumping back into our outline today were picking up with the the condemnation of false teachers in the early church, the condemnation of false teachers in the early church. So if you were to give this an overall outline, our major premise is we're dealing with false teaching and false teachers. And this is a sub-point. Too bad the condemnation of false teachers in the early church and before that we had Jesus Christ condemned false teaching. And before that we had the Old Testament prophets warned against false teachers, we have the Old Testament Jesus Christ and now the condemnation of false teachers in the early church. So that means after the time of Jesus moving forward, to the way I have this organized, we looked at the Old Testament, we have looked at the words of Jesus Christ concerning false teachers and now we're dealing with after the resurrection, James Ford, the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15 and that's what we have on the table. And that's what we're looking at. So, the first sub-point, then to condemnation of false teachers in the early church was dealing with Paul. Urges his readers to avoid false teachers, the urges his readers, or we should say he urged those to whom he addressed the text. Which inner first example is Timothy

We soared in 1st Timothy Chapter 6.

Verses 3 through 6. 1st Timothy 6 starting in verse 3.

If anyone has otherwise and does not concern to Wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ into the doctrine, which Accords with godly man. First for, he is proud, knowing nothing. But is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words from which come and be strong by revealing evil suspicions. Kind of sounds like the fruit of the flesh a little bit. So if this person is not holding to what we thought, it was teaching, someone else, Paul is implying, here it is. Wesley, it is carnal, it is not the things of God is not what God has pointed us to. It is wrong teaching verse five useless wranglings of men and of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who's suppose that godliness is a means of game. From such withdraw yourself. So these false teachers are wrangling, they had corrupt Minds. That is their thinking has been destroyed. It has been polluted. They are not reflecting Divine. Viewpoint on matters are reflecting a human Viewpoint perspective. When they suppose that godliness is a me a means of game. They are into it for what they can get from it. From such withdraw yourselves, over 6 godliness with contentment is great, just the opposite. They are looking for their looking for a great game that they might have contentment as false teachers. Get the girls, get what I'm after. Get the bunny. The car is a mansion.

Whatever that individuals proclivities, Maybe. And then, I will have contentment. It's what we see in the world. Now it is the world message, get to have Get things get accomplishment, get recognition, get whatever that I might have contentment, but we are told here by the Apostle, Paul, under the ministry of God, the holy spirit that godliness with contentment is great gain. The godliness plus great game godliness with contentment and that contentment comes from actually a right mental attitude. It comes from a perspective that has been submitted to God. That is I'm not trying to accomplish my things. I'm asking God, to accomplish two things. My life is not set up such that God will give me everything I want. And need my life is set up such that I see to give God when he is asked of me.

So godliness inverse X by the way, as our word used to buy it, used to buy a e u s e b.

AIA just to simplify it instead of bae.

AEI.

Godliness here is a transliteration and probably a better translation of it is spiritual life. The spiritual wife comes, as we are in Fellowship of fighting. In the ministry of God, the holy spirit filled with the word of God. So we're talking about spirituality by Grace here, is what he's referencing. So if I were to transliterate, verse 6 will not transliterate, give you an expanded translation. I would say.

No.

Spirituality by grace.

With submission to God.

Is great gain.

That is not what false teachers wants, not what they teach Because unless you're inciting people.

To do the same thing. You're going to lose them as a false teacher as a false teacher, if you're inciting people to Grace spirituality, And an attitude a relaxed mental attitude. The God's Providence is sufficient in my life and then I can not be anxious, but rest. If your congregants have that, you're not going to be able to manipulate them and move them and work them in the direction you want to do. So you can gain the things that you want. Praise God. You guys have been taught over many years rightly so that you have that right perspective. So you have a built-in immunity that is needed as we're flying in the whole covid world. Right now, those people who have gotten the job the shots or more likely to die from covid in the people who didn't, if you're in that category, don't worry. Don't be anxious. You're in the hands of your heavenly father but in terms of what our country has done and what they have foisted on people, those who bowed and buckled under and did what they were told to do or now more exposed than in a worse position than they ever were before. So pray for them. Pray for those. In our family, who have gotten the covid shot, make sure that your undergirding caring, and considerate for those people who for one reason or another. For some it seemed wise to do. I'm in that age bracket. I'm in water bowl. I have health issues, it seemed wise to do.

So pray we were making decisions wrongly was just at this is an untenable situation for people have warped and disguised the science and misused their Authority and lied. But other people might be affected along the way much like false teachers, do they give false information, may have you in their power. They utilize our power against you at the other passages.

the school next to Acts chapter 20,

Starting to verse 29 through 31.

Remove this good. After my departure, Savage wolves will come in among you not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up speaking. Perverse thing to draw away the disciples after themselves first 30. Number 31, there for watch and remember them for three years. I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears. Paul is recorded as saying here in the book of Acts, he was warned and he was imploring people to pay attention to Doctrine. The doctrine is Meaningful, it significant Truth is true. We must see it as such even though we live in a generation where my truth your truth is truth her truth. I'm speaking power to truth and truth to power. They have distorted the entire concept of Truth. In this postmodern generation that we live in the same is the forecast for Hagel. It's a a galleon trauma that has been foisted Upon Our civilization and it has turned it into one of those little finger traps

Woven toys. That's what we have going on here with the postmodern Revolution because people don't know how to get out of it. They don't know how to stop. They can't stop thinking about your truth but that's not my truth. We have different truths. There is no truth. Well that is wrong. There is a truth. It is true. It is the only thing that screw into something is not that it is untrue that which is true is true that which is not. That is untrue by definition of my nature but that's not what post-modernism teach yourself. We are under attack

Paul says, I know this that after my departure Savage was will come in among you not sparing. The flock for any of you have any experience with with sheep with Lambs, with livestock with Predators, you know, that can be that can go really bad really quick. Warren Wolf can take out a flock. 1 coyote coyote never travel alone. One, we'll bring in another car which will bring in another car and they will take out the flock. I just read an interesting thing that popped up in the news on my phone and said that there was a dog, a shepherd dog in North Carolina and it Protected the fork. The point of the article, why is it? This is pack of coyotes came in and this dog killed five khaios. And was at the brink of death but it protected the flock and so this is a little fundraising call out that made the news going to help us raise enough money. So this dog can be rescued instead of being put down and so they raised the whatever was $15,000 needed to do. All the surgical repairs and so forth to save the doc. So interesting, there, there are was, there are predators amongst us and they are everywhere. Into a part of our job is to play the role of protector by the way. That's not just my rule. That's your role to. Yes, you are sheep. You are being said, you are of the pasture, but you also stand in the place to be vigilant to be watching out. Who is the maturity that says I have discernment. I see what's going on and I will let the rest of the congregation in the left of the church. Rest of the flock know what's happening so that we do not become victims. Too bad. Romans chapter 16. Where's the 17 and 18? Visions, and offences contrary to the doctrine which you learned and avoid them. so, these are people who are Call Zina fences because they are stipulating teaching and trying to leverage points that are opposed to good Doctrine. We are trying to destroy before I go into visual sheets or exert their teaching for their message or their Viewpoint, contrary to good teaching. So those are to be avoided, those people who are trying to destroy doctor and every time you're around them, they're trying to destroy Doctrine. Here's what Paul says to the Romans. Don't go hang out with them. They're trying to destroy a good Doctrine, avoid them. I know some of you say, well, I'm mature enough. And this person, I think I can leverage, I can speak to them. I can help them. They do have a good heart after all, even though they seem to hate Doctrine.

Verse 18, for those who are such do, not serve our Lord, Jesus Christ. But their own belly, and by smooth words, and flattering speech to see the hearts of the simple, Those people who are opposed to good Doctrine are soup, they are seeking their own. Their own desires when he says. They serve their own belly. This is a concept of figure. That means they are after what feels good to them. They are after that, which is emotionally, satisfying, There are many people who won't step into this church. For that very reason because what they are after is that which is emotionally satisfying they're not really after we were interested in the truth they want that which will satisfy then make them feel good not make them

So, we have that against us, to start with, when people pop in here and sit down and say hello to talk about the word. So my way talking about scripture so much, that might be part of the reason don't judge. I mean, we don't know what's in individual hearts and we know that that is out there, but those people who are opposed to Doctrine are after something else. Other than truth, the truth is true there. For those who want to know, God, who want to understand. Jesus, better one to know about that, which is true. Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life, he is permanently affiliated with truth and that which is true. That is our objective as well.

Well, the Corinthian Church had been undiscerning intolerant of deceivers on their myths. That we see that in 2nd Corinthians, chapter 11, verse 3 and 4. But I fear he says must I somehow as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness. So your minds may be corrupted from the Simplicity that is in cried. What is he talking about? You see the Gospel of Jesus Christ is so simple. With any child can understand it and many have him. For those of us who have been involved in child evangelism, we see that children get it and they immediately gravitate towards truth. You tell them about the truth about Jesus Christ. You pull out the color book or whatever teaching mechanism you have a, you show them that we have sim problem that we have offended. God, do we need to be reconciled to God. That Jesus Christ has paid the price for our sins so that we can come to God and we can be made holy and righteous. If we do the work of Jesus Christ in our place, To have. For our sins and made us reconcile, the God, and the kids like

I may do remember doing that as a three-year-old thrusting, in the work of Jesus Christ. And maybe have maybe have that various points in their juvenile Journey. They have trusted in Christ. That is to say it is simple and there are those who want to come in and complicated. Oh yes. Probably doesn't mean believe believe means you have to obey. Leave means you have to repent first. If you're not old enough to read you don't know what it is. You're going from and what is you're going to have to turn from a sinful life and turn the goddamn lights are complicating? It is jerking a theology but his inner woven by humans to try to make it cohesive and hold together. like a nice gelatin display, gourmet food, or many types of the French entrees and and I didn't create this funny. Interesting looking layout of food and menu. David and Joe, it turned upside down in a canister. And then once it's all hard and you turn it upside down, pull off the cover. And there you have this little vignettes of food inside a Big Blob of gelatin, but you can see right through it. So it's kind of like a candy behind the window display only just cut through the gelatin, pour out your portion.

Our minds can become corrupted from the Simplicity that is in Christ. All we have to do is say, I like complexity better than simplicity. Why have one thing when I can have 14 instead?

Bruce for we are told for it he who comes preaching another Jesus whom we have not breed or if you receive a different spirit that is Doctrine or teaching which you have not received, you didn't get that teaching from us or a different gospel, an explanation of Salvation which you have not accepted you may well put up with it.

You saying you might put up with these things. If you are paying attention to Doctrine and when Doctrine is simple, we keep it simple. There are portions of doctrine that are quite involved to take quite a bit of background and maturity to be able to understand, that's fine. But the gospel is not that way and spirituality by Grace is not that way some of the subtleties of maturity are that way. But that's okay, but we don't want to take the simple and make it complicated, nor do we as an afterthought. Want to take the complicated and make it so simple that it isn't true anymore. You can't over reduce complex things and take out the details cuz if you take out the details and you don't have the structure that's needed to be there,

Fusion chapter 4.

Verse 14. Paul told this quote that we should no longer, be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of Doctrine. Why the trickery of men in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting? There is deceitful, partying. That is at work here. Now I can't always give the credit of the deceitful, partying, to the people who are doing the deceitful teaching, cuz I don't think they're that bright sometimes. But the enemy of our souls is he who is the God of this world, he who runs the cosmic system that we live in, is that brilliant? In fact, we are told that it's a two and he himself

is as brilliant as the entire rest of creation combined. Take the intellect of every person on the planet.

Add it up, not as brilliant as Satan himself is. Take the Brilliance of all the Angels, plus all of the humans. Still not as brilliant as Satan himself to see his unique. He was set up to be the one who would guide and Lead everyone to the worship of God. And so he was given remarkable gifts. Musicianship, it is unparalleled.

Brilliance in fought and thinking inability to be as attractive as anything you have ever desired or wanted in your life. All of that is who he is and what he does.

so we're talking about trickery of, man, and cunning of craftiness of deceitful partying, but we know that it doesn't stay there, but that's what Paul is teaching us about as this deceitfulness of men and I seen man who can wind up some pretty messy deceitfulness. We used to have Roy Masters over in the Grants Pass area who this whole Cult of the mind that you developed people coming in from all over the place and Walter Martin used to come into this area specifically just so that he might be able to interact with those people who are followers of Master. So you guys know who Walter Martin is used to be the Bible answer man years ago. So Walter Martin I had the Bible answer man show on TV. The big one that was read that was running across all the you know, the news all the Christian radio from early 1970 is all the way up through about 1980. So maybe maybe before that brilliant, man, he was a disciple of Donald, then he came as a young Christian and under the wings of Donald barnhouse and between the two of them, they went and they investigated because

Walter Martin had an interest in the Colts and being apologetic and apologize or someone who helps protect the truth. And also show the people in the Colts are in error. And they took a look at the Adventist Church Seventh-day Adventist, who up until that time about 1940 and 1955 that are they had been considered a non-Christian call Mainstream Christianity by the barn house. Took a look, what did their doctrines met with them? And with the leadership of The Seventh-Day Adventists and they concluded. They are indeed Christians. They have some aberrant theology. They believe in works. We believe in our meeting on the Sabbath day, the seventh day as opposed to the Lord's Day. But beyond that and a few other peculiarities having. I mean, I do in whites of their head of their Church, a few weird things like that saying that she was a prophetess, they said they were actually Christians and so they brought them back into Christianity and since then they've been recognized by the rest of us as Christians. Walter Martin did that. So, any other photographic mind? And I was at actually. Yeah, we had a big rally here, back in the 70s. I remember at one of the one of the Assembly of God churches and had a really big meeting room at the time. And so all these thousands of people came in and Walter Martin was there, and it was pretty interesting when I got to the question-and-answer section, people would come up and they would ask him questions than they thought. We've got him cuz we've done our research and we know he's not going to be able to answer this until they come up with a task, their question and then he would go. Yes. Well, that's not true because dada dada dada. For 4:12 by such-and-such book written by the gentleman that you're referring to he says and then he would quote it because he had a photographic memory and everything. He ready was able to go to and pull it off then refer to on the spa. So it was just it was like he do that. Like a minor form of walking on water or something for it.

For those of us who are watching. So next, we have the

next, we have the caution heresy, the colossian, heresy,

Thought with the combination of faith in Jesus Christ with man-made philosophy and regulations was necessary for salvation. So there is a philosophy being taught to the Colossians, which we were being told. They had to join the Christianity to the teachings of The Gospel, Four men to be able to be safe. Colossians. Chapter 2 shows us the colossian heresy here is worth mention, but the passage is so rich in Colossians chapter 2, that I want the full context. So, instead of just looking at 2, versus I want to look at a 10 versus here, we're going to read it through since chapter 2. Verse 14, I want you to know what a great conflict. I have for you, and those in Leo daisja, and for as many as have not seen my face in the Flash, We're still that their hearts may be encouraged being knit together in love and attaining to all Riches of the full Assurance of understanding to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the father and of Christ.

1st Street in whom are hidden all. Treasures of wisdom and I should have read that as in whom are written some of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge and looked up to see if anyone noticed it, but it says all all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

Both the father and Christ. First for a serious question, one should deceive you with persuasive words because if everything is hidden, Christ and the father, then what else is there? If someone is bringing something from outside, what's hidden in Christ in the father? What is that? What is it? They're doing respite for though. I am absent in the flesh. Yet, I am with you in spirit rejoicing to see your good order from the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. For 6 as you therefore have received Christ, Jesus, the Lord. So walk in him, this is such an important

So important for your walk. So important for your spirituality, it is everything because you see we have received our salvation by grace through faith that is we have trusted. And for ourselves personally, the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. In place of our work, we will never come to God based on our work, what we've done. If they'd, let me into your Heaven because of such and such and what I've done here and how I did this thing, These things over there, and this about me. No, we will come to heaven, will say hahaha, I'm so grateful that you will let me into heaven because of what? The Lord Jesus Christ did on my behalf. And the story, nothing to be added to that. So as we have received Christ, Jesus, the Lord. So walk in him in the same way in the same manner. That means my spirituality, my walking is entered into in the same manner, it's by the provision of the Lord. Jesus Christ, gave me. The means to be ability to walk in the filling of the holy spirit. That means has been made available to me, through the confession of sin. What a joy that when I messed it up, I don't have to go.

Through trials, and Trauma to get reconciled. I don't have to go through the Esther problem will, if I walk into his Majesty's chamber is the one going to be down, or up to be executed. Or will I be safe? I don't know. I guess. It's not like that at all. Grace provision has been made as our Salvation has been provided. Our reconciliation to Fellowship has been provided, you simply site. Beautiful, wonderful. Language that is used here. Homola, Gala means to speak the same thing in a courtroom and legally isn't that I sight? I quit claim. I make a legal mention and when I do John chapter 2:2, told us that we have a lawyer and Advocate who intercedes for us and he has paid for our sins and not for ours, but also those of the whole world going back to 1st, John 1:9, then we understand. Then when I make that legal citation, he pulls up the case in reference that deals with the citation I have made us. I have send this is a sin ignore. This is my son and I own it and he flips through the records he says, oh when it comes to the case of the sin of David Bruce's. The Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb of God and took away the sins of the whole world has been settled. The sin has been dealt with, you are free, you are at Liberty. There is no adjudication, no judgment. That comes down to you for that sin and in addition, you are cleansed, your released, you are filled. You are free to walk for, in forgiveness, in the empowerment for Ministry and engaging in this life.

Wow.

Every single time we can best. Oh so in the case of doing your name versus Lord Jesus Christ. My case has been settled. No judgment. There's only forgiveness and now because you've decided that case you move forward with Fellowship. there are those who like to point out the distinction between the forensic or legal system, which they Play Saint salvation that is our justification are being made righteous, then they say it is a parental or it is a family or a polly-o about is our relationship as sons of God to our father. That is about fellowship. And that is true, there is a great deal of Truth to that when I get in trouble. It is the Lord who disciplines me personally because I am now his child. So when I fall into sin and I keep walking and he will spank me, you will set up the circumstances, he will intervene he will do that which is the spanking that I need that. I might Return. My thinking to write order get things right and out, straightened out. Remember my little brother? Used to just have a hard time, he would get in trouble and I just couldn't get a ride out at 2 to. My parents will talk to him, and he was rebellious and wrong, and me. And so they said once they spanked it, and you can just see me relaxation. And letting go, they just came into his body. The man he would breathe and he was repentance and he was right after the discipline, it brought him to that place. So as kids, when we are getting together and we're doing a little family project, my brother was for Christmas in my and we are supposed to come up a little saying that we were going to send everyone in the family and we're going to ride it out on little rolls are so, we'd made our little same with our little stroll on my brother said. Loathing means getting in Fellowship.

That's what rule really was a time. Five year old little boy. That's what he came up with loving means getting in fellowship and he do that because you've been disciplined along the way and personal relationship with his heavenly father. So, there is truth to that our abiding, in our fellowship has to do with personal relationship. We, we don't want to lose track of. I actually had interaction with some people just last night where I was pointing this out. We don't want to lose track of the forensic or legal aspect of what's going on in 1st. John 1:9 we are coming into a courtroom, we are citing a case, he who is faithful and just is a description of his legal standing that he is actually one who is in his personality faithful mess. He is as to his personality Justice, no, reference to his righteousness, but it's employed here. This has been met based on Justice because of the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a legal issue in 1st, John 1:9. I think that's one of the reasons why I be Siri one teaching on rebound, when people would question it, they would say it. But do you have to believe anything? You know, it's just it's just the fact that you just do it. Milsim beg to differ. And then we had some little Wars between the pastures and theme and and you can imagine how the hair of their head was singed along the way. After that. But in the end, we find that there is truth. We need to be aware of what's going on. There is relational intent as we come back with confession but the reality is truth. It is a court case. We are to site, understand your siding to God and he was restoring you to a biting. He is restoring you to Fellowship is restoring youtube, personal relationship. But this restoration is based on a legal precedent in and out working of that precedent. So important for us. We're still having you rooted and built up in him and established in the faith as you have been taught abounding in it with Thanksgiving. So this is what follows of walking in the same way as we have been saved. We are built up.

In him. We are established in the face. That's what Romans 8:1 is talking about. There is no more judgment for those who are in Christ Jesus. Judgment has been dealt with no longer is applicable. What is applicable is that you abide and you walked in the Philly at the Holy Spirit? Therefore, he says for those who walk not after the flesh but in the spirit, that is important. So he also points out here that as you have been taught, you see, we didn't hear the gospel in a vacuum, someone communicate it to us for someone wrote it down in a way that we read it. And it was communicated to us for someone record it in a way that we heard it and it was communicated to us, but it was communicated. Meaning it was taught. The gospel was taught and so to scripture is taught to us, we must have learned. It hear it to be able to have And then as a result of having been built up established in the faith, which by the way, the faith means the body of teaching, the body of Truth established in the teaching of Truth. We could say, we're built up established in the body of Truth. Abounding in it with Thanksgiving.

So important about him being in it with Thanksgiving, it's important because it's the truth. If you are filled with Doctrine, you are going to overflow with Thanksgiving. If you are filled with grace oriented perspective, you will be overflowing with Thanksgiving regardless of the situation. It doesn't say but bonding with Thanksgiving when you're doing good abounding with Thanksgiving because God has answered your prayers abounding with Thanksgiving because the pain is gone and life is so much better know a bounding and Thanksgiving because you have the truth of God and you have been taught and you have been built. Therefore, having been built up, you can be Thanksgiving in every situation, not for every situation. We don't have to be thankful for every situation, but we are thankful in, every situation, we can thank God. We can reflect on his provision, on his Divine Providence, Etc.

Let's see, we got a few more verses to go here. I think we'll just break it here and come back to you, verse 8.

Where we get into the beware, lest anyone teach you through philosophy and empty. This seat. The point of deception that is other reason. We're at this passage will come back to that after the break. What's I? Go ahead and close in prayer. The only father we thank you for this opportunity to March our way through scripture, looking at the occasions where the reference to false teaching has been made. And it's not something that is dark. It's not something that pulls it down. Actually it is quite buoyant to our souls. We find that you are the protector of our souls. You find that you are the provider of Grace that we need. We find that you are the most glorious one to interact with. And as we fix our eyes on you, there is an overflow of Thanksgiving in our heart. Who may we fix our eyes on you and may we reflect as to whether there is an overflow of Thanksgiving, if not, we simply need to confess our sin and reorient to your word. And if we have lost you of certain Doctrine, to refine that to return to it, pray for your guidance and bleeding. You are the wise Shepherd, Lord, and we need your wisdom and the shepherd Universal. We, thank you and praise you. For this time of study, that does just that

Christ name, amen.

All right, let's get back to our seats in the start with number.

Then we reflect this as an offering to you and pricing with her.

Angel, the Great.

Hallelujah. Amen.

alright, so What's enter into our Christmas communion?

It's interesting that our heavenly. Father, had a purpose and a plan. God, the Holy Spirit was completely Incorporated in this plan and the Lord Jesus Christ himself came to be message. the message being

Grace. Grace Grace.

Unbidden.

Man didn't ask for it man, didn't seek it but God unbidden by man came. To provide the sacrifice. That was needed. It wasn't. It was known to man that he could not make up a difference Adam and Eve knew it instantly at the point of sin between themselves and God. It is there naked men.

And the icky sticky leaves were not a good covering but they didn't know what else to do because they were new to this. They send and there was a problem and now they tried to cover up the problem like it didn't happen. But it was obvious icky, sticky leaves, all over Adam and Eve. Not a good thing. If you ever tried to put icky sticky leaves on yourself, they are scratching their itchy then on the naked parts. That's bad.

So do God in his great. Wisdom in the Garden of Eden, he came to Adam and Eve and he said this, oh no icky sticky leaves. Let me help you with a better way. You see your icky sticky leaves? Don't cover your nakedness, they don't cover your sin but I have something that will a lamb a lamb that we might insert will be slaying to provide for the sins of the whole world. That is what is needed to solve your sin problem. And so God created the first ever not found on cable TV, not found on Amazon.com for found in the Garden of, even a Garden of Eden lambskin covers for your seats. The seats of your car, but the naked seeds that were previously covered by leaves. Can, he'll be covered with lambskin? I know beads allowed.

So God knew what he was doing. He had a plan and that plan involves the covering that was needed.

I'm at covering the, we needed was provided by Jesus Christ, but it wasn't just a covering. That's what they needed in the Old Testament covering of sins and tell Jesus Christ could pay for sins. So we might say that the lamb seat covers covered sin but also Illustrated that there must be a blood sacrifice that there must be someone who paid for the sins of the whole world. And that person was Jesus Christ who came that he might die on a cross. Take the Judgment of God for all the sins of the world instead of me. And instead of you, we don't die on a cross and it wouldn't do any good because we're not righteous, we're not holy, but Jesus Christ died on that cross.

Until we have the provision, everything we need happened, and God knew this was going to happen. That's why Jesus Christ came. And what time we celebrate as Christmas In A Manger,

Born in a place that is not where Kings would normally be born. Not the place. We would go to look for the King of Kings and the Lord of lords. The wise men Came From Afar and they traveled. Seeking after this Christ, child had been born this King. The snow worthy individual that they could see by following the stars in the heaven. and they were told, just keep following the star and they We're tearing of the region, said, I want you to come back and tell me so I can kill him. But they said no, we will not do that, not to hear him but when they left, they said we're not going to do that. And so we find that our wise men brought out The Lord Jesus Christ to buy this time was probably over a year old and I living in a different place. Not in a Manger, but they came and they brought worship to him. And they gave him Gifts of gold and incense and myrrh which are valuable spices.

so we see at the very beginning, the goal in the plan was this, there is a message in the message is Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ began his message with myrrh and incense spices that were for those who are to die. Spices to be raft in the bodies of those who were to die because Jesus came that you might die first. Then he came as a baby to become the man that he might go on. Who would provide for the sins of the whole world. Jesus was the plan and that's what we're celebrating in communion today. And so we're going to take the bread and we're going to take the wine and we're going to remember Jesus and his plan in his message as we do that.

so, this morning,

Remember remember Jesus Christ and the bread or the biscuit that we hold before US represents Christ in his humanity. And it was if Humanity that he must have feared so that he could die for the sins of the world. For remembering Jesus Christ.

You have your father, we thank you for the provision of your son, perfect. Humanity sinless has similar, this is Adam and never failing. You never send it was perfect, and then his glory, as a perfect Kinsman,

You might pay the debt.

For his Humanity, brought this out.

Decided my long-time of attending.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

You must stop her presents, the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Not just because his blood had to be shed, but to show who was that? He experienced the death, there was needed, but we might have eternal life for let us know that the price that he paid from the case before God, when he said it is finished. Because the blood have been poured out. The death have been accomplished in the picture that we had. The wind has Resurrection came about then we knew the blood was true, his death was real, the payment was complete and it is indeed.

Therefore, he added the New Covenant that will come into play in the great millennium. New Covenant that is we have a righteous listed as are not our own. We have a debt that can not be.

Go ahead and drink thinking of the sacrifice of Christ that took the shed. Well,

Are there any father? We do? Thank you for the payment price, the Lord Jesus Christ. Imperfect Humanity came and he shed his blood and therefore, we recognizing the signs in the symbols put before us, rightly think he rightly oriented we require you to work as being our a copy. But it is.

Made available to us and we might walk in this. What? I can. We think you wouldn't trade you for all that you've done in this. Great message. The message. It is Jesus Christ. His name is Ray.

Time for Sunday school with mrs. D's class.

Thank you, Tom.

Right, let's go opening prayer.

elderly, father, we come to you at this time as we are desirous of Coming your word, change us. We have to, we might grow. So we might glean that which you have placed here that the rewards of hard work would be delivered to our soul. The hard work in your word, Lord, that we might benefit from the doctrine, from the understanding that we might find ourselves provisioned, and unable to walk in brace with full understanding. And this is to the benefit of our lives. And For Your Glory, we pray it and pricing.

We're picking back up in the verse 8.

Bruce a discontinuing on where we left off, clawson's chapter 2.

Continues any says, beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty, deceit. Feel that word sheet was actually a Greek word. That means to be carried away to be kidnapped to be taken away. I know you probably heard of the term shanghaied to be shanghaied mean. Someone got ya. They captured took you off here in Oregon and Portland because up and Portland, there were bars and there were taverns, and there were tunnels, and there were docks, and they were captains, who came in from sea Portland, abandoned ship and run away. Now, both people who were working on a ship were indentured servants, that is they were working to pay off a debt or a price. But some captains were, so mean. So, despicable for the life was so difficult and so hard there when they had any opportunity, they figured. How is the captain going to be able to chase me down? I can just disappear, he's a water guy to go back in the water, so they did and they ran off so captains needed, new people to fill in for the people that ran away. So they would start to pay 5 to able-bodied people who look like they could do the work. And then from the bars, they would have these little locations caches closet where the guy would get inebriated in his Tavern or Bar activities.

In the corner where they had a trap door underneath, then I'm be nice. Instead we won around, then someone would just trigger the leaver the person wouldn't disappear. The doors back in place where Joe go to drink. He's probably trying to find the bathroom spending our room. Think anything and by then cuz there were Beast bugs underneath, they would take em if needed take away is capacity by hitting him on the head and tied him up and running through the tunnel. Till they got all the way to where the boat was and then they would sell them to the captain for a fee and exchange in a fee and buy. The captain's thinking this person is now an indentured servant because he paid for them and they have to work off what he paid. That's crazy thinking, but that's what it was. And so they call it be in Shanghai. There's a fair amount of Chinese involved in the activity. We won't get into that, but the term was to Shanghai. I'm sure it is no longer politically correct. I'm sure if I say it on Twitter they will come after me. And you on musk himself will have to defend me but that's the way of it. Beware, lest anyone take you captive through philosophy and empty, the sea interesting philosophy, has that capacity. People can get wrapped up and floss the fee and they get carried away. Like they got hit over the head and kidnapped and they disappear and it's full of empty, the sea. When he says this is according to the tradition of man according to the basic principles of the world. But not according to Christ, you recall, previously, we were learning that we were to be involved with that which is of Christ. It is hidden in Christ, and God, I don't know which word to be involved. It is the doctrine in the thinking that has been revealed that comes from God in Christ, it is hidden in them.

but this beats for us with these, these Basic principles are not compatible with Doctrine. Therefore Doctrine. And these principles can flit that is they should konflict, if you have hidden Doctrine, if you are faithful to Doctrine. If you've decided that if something is true, then something that is not. That is not true. Then you will not entertain that, which is not compatible with Doctrine. No, notice it doesn't stay on.

La Sophie. Says through for us. He is bad. In fact I would say that there are many things that we are engaged in that we would call for Ossipee. It's not theology / say it's how we apply the theology. That we know to lie, many call that the philosophy philosophy of your worldview. So you have a worldview, the mine Viewpoint Bible doctrine of your soul and you view things. Some people will call that a philosophy that is how you approach living in this world. There are others like a doctor Stallard, who I took a course with and he said, that is actually he calls a Systematic Theology on the fourth level. That is, how do we apply? The theology. We know. So it's still Theology. And so it's the system of the flying Fiola G. So we can consecrate it. We don't have to use the word philosophy. We can say this is systematic, theology.

Until there are different levels of systematic, theology. The first level Systematic Theology is what we see in scripture comes from scripture and is the teaching the doctrines of thinking a scripture alone and then we have a correlative level in which we take other passages other teachings and we tie them when we blend them together. We see that there is a system at izing through scripture of ideas that come their Genesis the beginning. The seed is in the passages. And so the passage understanding is Paramount because you can't create a new interactive systematize theology than the GlockStore changes. What the passage means in and of itself. As we work through our Systematic Theology, we don't do that. Which puts the doctrine of the passage in question. Through all the arguments of the questions we have for mothers comes right at that point because people are trying to either invalidate what scripture says on its face or they're trying to make other passages compatible with this passage, which may not meet. It may not be the same thing. For example, when talking about the issue of Salvation there different types of Salvation. Yes, there is an eternal salvation of the individual. We call it justification when you are transferred from unrighteousness to righteousness by the work of God at the moment that you believe in the work of the Lord. Jesus Christ. On your behalf, you are translated transform from the kingdom of dark to the kingdom of life from unrighteousness to righteousness. You are made new, you're a new person, you have a righteousness, that is not your own. But not, every time we see the word salvation is that what is meant, sometimes? Salvation just means to deliver a person like when Paul was Shipwrecked and cast it out. He was delivered, not saved eternally. Same word, same bird, same verb tense, but not every place that occurs. Does it have the same meaning context is important? When we have those people who are saved in their lives, that means that they are delivered from living on Godly, but they are delivered to live a Godly life are delivered to live in the power of the spirit. They are delivered to be those who are encouraged others and give her the things to God.

Different uses of the same word. And so, we have different levels. And then we have an integrated level of theology where we study. We try these things together. We look at. What's said, what's not said we look on the third level, at what's going on with categories. That is what are the different categories of this? What else was said through scripture, we look at what we call the eye cigar Gates, which simply means we're looking at the history and the culture and the geography, those things that are pertinent at the time, but it isn't necessarily at a first level analysis, it's not as level. It's at a third level, where we look at these things and hide them in. And then the fourth level we have application of our theological, understanding to, how then do I live life? How do I leave then? Let me give you a hint by Grace. We live by Grace, live by Grace perspective, we are grading. Rules Ways to Live or not creating obligations Brothers. We're not trying to put heavy burdens on others. We ourselves can't keep for put heavy burdens on ourselves that we can't. We are looking to live by grace in the same way that we have been safe. So you see, there are four levels of theology in that fourth level, here may refer to philosophy, but there is a world view of philosophy, many world. Use apple Ossipee that have been brought up by philosophers Go on with those is empty. The sea. That is a deceitful medicine, which there is nothing to be gained but just need full medicine, which there is emptiness in a little smack little piece of candy. Some you thought

Good to get that little, you know, Butterfinger candy bar that I've been thinking about whatever Mikey whatever your little go to is when you get it and then you eat it. And you like,

What is the name is good? As I thought and now I got a sugar high or low and I got a sugar crash you know. Now I feel like sugar bad bad, no good and what happened? We had a little bit of emptiness. Little bit of empty. Deceit. We were to see if we thought we were taking him something good, nothing good came from. It wasn't good at all. It was Labor. Lasted for a minute. Sweetness faucet for a couple minutes sugar-high Rush which tragically turn into a sugar down.

So there were just feed for lost the fees out there. There are is a specific one here, that, that Paul is speaking to you, as he's talking to the Colossians, he says, according to the basic principles world and not according to cry. Summarizing it and first 94 in here, dwells all the fullness of the godhead.

So we were told that in him is Doctrine, and now, we're finding that in him, is all the fullness of the godhead bodily. But is everything has to be taken from the godhead What is the character and nature of God himself flows from the Lord Jesus Christ?

You see we have some have called it please. He asked tickets. Queasy at 6. It says that there is a great void in the heart of every man. There's a great pool but that cave has the shape of the nature of God itself and we cannot be at rest at 1, until we have relationship with God because he alone can plug that hole.

Seems a little bit, frightened it in a sense. But in another sense, if you aren't to detail-oriented here thinking a little bit fuzzy logic in there, you can say is true. I do need God, God is satisfying. God makes the difference for. Here's what we're finding everything that is of necessity. God, and godliness is found in Jesus Christ. So, our relationship with him gives us relationship with the godhead. For him, it was bodily. He was hypostatic union, he was man and God in one combined together. All about fullness. We have relationship with, we have relationship with Jesus Christ. We have been bought by him. We have been baptized into him. We have been made his bride. We are part of the body of Christ. We were an extension of his work and Ministry on this Earth. We abide in fellowship with him and everything that is found in Jesus Christ. We have access to first 10 and you are complete in him. Who is the head of all principality and power? So you are completed and you don't have to worry about being bullied by others other drivers of philosophy, other drivers of wrong thinking because he is your completion as we learn of Jesus Christ. As we learn of the doctrine of Jesus Christ, as we learned of the teaching of Jesus Christ, we ourselves find completion.

We are completed by Christ. What a joy? Next we move on. To Paul warning.

His readers of heretical teachers this case and I didn't know how to do it. So I'm going to have a number of passages not together but these almost all are dealing with messages to the Ephesians but I'll try to explain as we go. So, heretical teachers in Ephesus, that's the connection. 1st, Timothy 1:3, we've been through this a number of times.

Give us a lot of information about the writing of James teachers, what was happening with the early church and false teachers? First three, as I heard you went to the Macedonia remitting in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other Doctrine. So, Timothy is set up as a guard, as a appointee of the Apostle, to deal with and confront false teaching verse for nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies. So you're to be guarding. The teaching is faithful that there is no fables and was genealogies, which caused this fuse, rather than Godly edification, which is in faith. So this false teaching false Doctrine is the store. So the cause of dispute, know why do churches divided? Because they have a dispute on Doctrine. Typically, the reason for the thing for the church thinks another thing and they all have to go their own way. They decided to Camp fellowship with each other. They don't have enough great to be able to live with each other on that, because it's such an important thing. The distinction is so important. So half the congregation believe that Jesus had long hair and have congregation believe those got short according to the law that he was actually one who kept him there. For his hair, with short hair is long, and we can see all the pictures were. Obviously, they're not paying you the wrong thing. I'm not sure how that's an argument, but sometimes it is, So we have all the pictures of an Irish Jesus with long hair. Okay. Well that that convinces me. Okay so which side are you or you going to walk out the door because he has long hair or because the short hair supply in cyst from the pulpit that he has long hair? Are you going to be offended? Or if I insist insist from the pulpit that I sure hear. Are you going to be offended half? The church might walk out, see distinctions matter and I'm giving you a ridiculous one. Give you a little bit of humor to go along with it, making it very serious as people dive into that, which they think is Port important because quite strangely We desire the truth. And that's a spiritual thing to desire, but we can actually fight over details in our flesh. How wonderful is that?

Nor could he the fables and endless genealogies, which caused its abuse rather than Godly edification, which is in edification. Oh, my God, we've that Spirit relationship with God. That relationship is in faith as we are focusing on the source of Truth. Bible Doctrine, know it take this back to the concert, the Bible Doctrine resident in your soul Bible doctrine that is functioning in your soul. Should give you the capacity to live with others who disagree with the Bible. Doctrine is just in your soul but not functioning. You probably won't be able to do that. You probably can't make the muster and deal with the differences. First five know the purpose of the Commandment Is Love from a pure heart, from a good content and from sincere Faith. So what were talking about is the fruit of the spirit here. If we are filled with the spirit, if we have allowed ourselves to understand and to confess known sin and we have realize that we must navigate the spiritual life by the work of Jesus Christ, his provision, the enabling power of God, the Holy Spirit, the directive will of God the father in scripture. As we recognize this Elizabeth way, this will be the result and if we don't have these things for either immature or we're not doing what we think we're doing or we are accumulating Doctrine without functioning which would I be a form of reversion ISM? By the way? No the purpose of the Commandment Is Love from a pure heart. So there's an Integrity action that's at work. There there's a cleansing action of God. The holy spirit that is at work here. They cleanse heart and they love that comes from it. That's interesting. And we know that says we have thought through the doctrine of love when we have gone through what personal and impersonal love is what Agape may or may not mean. Sometimes Agape means friendship, Love sometimes, Leo. Friendship means Agape like functionality. So we can't be as strict as we sometimes want to be. In terms of that word means that cuz actually, they're used differently in context is what makes the difference. We need to recognize that but once purified there is a lot of it comes from the source just like with our heavenly father Love Came From the Source, How Could You Love a sinful world? The calvinist say he can't You cannot love a sinful world. He can only love those whom. He has paid for those. He has provided for hope you turn out to be one of those who weren't really saved to begin with you. Did you persevere? We don't have to worry too much cuz God didn't love you. And we don't have to either. We just want to love you as long as there's a chance that whoever thought that maybe you will be one of those who was preordained, unless you're going to be saved at the end. So we don't have to question you on your stance of Salvation. We just hope that you do good will teach you as much and you better get with it and make sure you're safe by acting it out.

But that's not what God does. He says I have love for my heart as a source therefore I can love everyone and we are to do the same thing. We follow in that, we are to love others because God's love has found a place and US God's love. Ms means the source of Love is in us. That way we are able to love with him, personal loan with a Gauthier love. Let's call it this way because I think it takes some of the weird most out of it. That is it is a spirit caused love God. The Holy Spirit causes Off full of others. We have no attraction to we don't, like who they are, what they are, what they do, what they think, what they stand for, and yet we can love them and care for them and pray for them. Because it's not about the object, it's about what God is doing. In our heart, that is one thing. And then we're to have a good conscience, a good conscience means we are responsive to God's work, really a plain and simple. That's what it is. It is God's word is being acted out my life before I have a good conscience because I am submissive. I follow God says and I do I respond, he says, I love you there for love you love me. Therefore, I love others. Not saying that. In that simple since like, every human can do it, but in the spiritual realm, it is true. Because I have been loved of God and I've been given a capacity to love and return that he gives me a capacity to love others in Fellowship. According to the word of God. And sometimes we need more of the word of God to scrape. The Barnacles off her eyes so that we can love properly but God's word is true and faithful. If we seek it we can follow it and sincere faith. This means sincerely or without any hypocrisy, living the life that you've been called to believing him resting in him. Trust me in, it means that you sabaya. That spiritual life has been made available to me and I'm just simply pursuing it. When was so, I'm having Freight have turned aside to idle talk. So when people are dice, isolating on reflecting on, but Jesus Christ, is the head in him? Or is he everything I need? You makes me complete. I have a biting relationship with him, then they will destroy other things. And one of those is idle and let me Underlying this word here, since we're James chapter 3, what does it say? Idle. Idle talk. That is the fruit of the lips. Idle talk.

The implication is, there is no idle talk. I like to call. I just simply idola, Chris talk because it's not about the things of God. It's about the things that Captivate me and destroy me. That's what's wrong. That's what I should not be talking, but really the word here means to be empty, just like are empty calories that we were talking about before the empty flossophy, the empty deceit that there's nothing there. I'm deceived and there's nothing, it's the same thing. So I take it in empty to see and now I'm giving it out through my lips bibletalk, empty talk, 47 Desiring to be teachers of the law are these individuals understanding. Either what they say, nor the things, which they are firm.

They don't even understand the basics. They don't understand the gospel. They don't understand Grace orientation. They're trying to bring in vain philosophy, idle babbling and the law. But burdens upon people, but they might get what they want, they might end up benefiting from the relationship. That is what we are mentioning here. They desire to be teachers of the law teachers of scripture, but they don't get it. They don't understand it. They may not be born again, or there may be those who are stuck in car. Now, Addie reversion ISM or simply have not grown at all. Since being born into Raichu, there are many, many that are like that. We have entire denominations that are led by people that are like that, they have the wrong orientation, the truth, they have thrown aside, the things of God, the things of Grace So we are to be mindful. 1st Timothy one, man. We moved the 1st Timothy chapter 4.

Verses 1 through 3 Mel, the spirit Express. Lisa has been in latter times, some will depart from the faith. That is from the teachings giving he to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons that as they will move. So far away from spiritual truth that in the vacuum of their soul, they will be scooping up and paying attention to deceiving spirits that is receiving Doctrine strange, as it comes out of the King James. Spirits means Doctrine but demons means demons. So deceiving Spirits is not saying two different things. This evening spirits and doctrines of demons. It's side-by-side in the little hebrewism but it's making a point. There are deceptive teachings and then there are the teachings of demons then there are the same and yet they are different. Do spirits memes teaching Doctrine means teaching. So we have deceiving teachings, and teachings of demons some teachings, come from humans. Some teachings come from men and some teachings. Come from demonic entities from Satan. Do we need to discern the difference? I don't think so, but we often will. We often do? We will often get the Demonic content? Anyone who is not saying the Lord, Jesus Christ is Lord, that he is, God is a deceiving. Demon is demonically deceptive, there is a demonism somewhere in the background of maybe not be what is behind the person. Doesn't mean that we have a finger puppet of a person with a demon behind it. Whose hand is inside and manipulating the person. I'm not saying that but a deceiving, demon can come up with an idea.

Person on pladson and solve another and planted in the stove. Another for the ideas, at the stores comes from demons. Similar to the idea of fear to illustrate the site. If you have a question G, fear scripture says, do not be afraid do not fear. Says, fear does not come from God.

Especially a minute charismatic, Pentecostal Community immediately. Jump stick, it comes from, you can come from It can come from your soul. You can also have demonic. Entities are forces behind it. Does Satan want us to be fearful for the wrong reasons and yes, you got it. Does he have the ability to influence us? Does he need to influence us for us to be fearful Your Own Worst Enemy? So what scripture says not all theater that no fear is from God, we can understand that to mean that God is never this course, but he's not saying what the source is but it can be our sin nature or it can be a spiritual or demonic in nature. So then the response to everything in our spiritual warfare in our Warfare against sin is the same. We deal with both the same way, we don't have to have exorcism services to deal with the demons that come. We don't have to I have counseling sessions to find out how deep does your sim go somewhere in between. There is some rational thought which is if I lost three habits work, it will deal with sin. It will deal with spiritual entities, of darkness and God's word deals with both. So when people write these books on spiritual warfare and they get out there and tell you all the things you need to do, probably they're off the mark because they aren't actually telling you. That what you need to do is to grow in Christ to work on a relationship with God, based on his word and fruit and rust. Do you have a question?

yes, and One bit, I will have to dig into some time here in that in the future. I j.t. Hicks and has a book that he wrote that you may have seen reference. He's one of the speakers we've had here on Sunday nights and then I think you might have some talks on it as well. He bleeds to my mind, but there is a difference between the ladder times. We're in the time of the anticipation of the return of Lord Jesus Christ. We are in the time of eminency Lord. Jesus Christ. Could come in 30 seconds.

For a minute or 10 or 2 days a week, 16 months. 10 years we don't know, but we are to expect him to come. Now that is a Doctrine and see your doctor or the emergency, apply to these latter days that we are in these. We need to get in and deal with it. The vocabulary of Latter days. Last days, last time, depending on what version or translation for all kind of mess together. So, makes it kind of confusing, but we are in. What are the end, okay? The latter days. Which, for the moment, we're just defining as the church age. And so it's been the latter days are the end times its entire time. So will there be a great break down in the Church of absolute false teachers taking over? I know it's always been with us. We've always had that. Is it going to get worse? Going to get worse, but we've always had it with us. We've always had false teachers in the attack in the inundation, like I said to begin with the way before features coming in over the church. And so we have that. We've had that, it's always been there. Just like we've always had eminency, Jesus Christ. Could have come in, Paul's lifetime could have time in John's life, what time could have time in the hundred years after? So no one has ever known, or are we to know we're not supposed to know?

I'm answering your question. 4 MI to preaching.

1st Timothy 4:2, speaking lies in hypocrisy having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, what a horrible, horrible picture. And if you've ever been around burns hair, burnt flesh is an accurate instantly recognizable. Smell, how do you cannot shake? What a horrible. Horrible concept hear their conscience. Seared with a heart and a hot iron almost like branding. Like they've been branded by their carnality. They've been branded as it were

In their pursuit of false teaching speaking lies in hypocrisy. The idea here is that their conscience is not functioning because it's been seared to the point where the nerve bundles no longer work the skin or you can reach in class until 4. It is a dead, best your goal that conscience which is supposed to be working in their soul or three forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from foods, which God created to be received with Thanksgiving by those who believe and know him. So they try to get into this burden of others. Forbidding the Mario. You guys can't marry, or there's a reason why you can't marry what's being talked about here. Widows not married, I don't know. But the idea here, is that there is an intrusion under the volitional, freedom of the individual, whom the flock by the teacher, and commanding to abstain from Foods, again, and intrusion under the volitional capacity, the bill is her being taught to set of teaching them let him and make their choices and if they're in a situation where they may offend another by their choices that is between them and God and perhaps that other piece is the person who their offending But it's not to be talked from the pulpit do this. Don't do that.

Well, let me let me clarify that whether or not you have a sip of wine with you, drink a little wine that's up to you that's between you and God. Are you to be a drunk? No. Drinking permissible drunk, not permissible. So I can say that, I'll say that from here. Does that offend some people? Yes, there are some people who can't handle it. My dad grew up in a family of drinking and drunks. And when he got saved, he left behind the bar life and everything. And from then on, he hated it with a passion, he needed drinking and we would go to family get-togethers and BB Rob. People be drinking on Thanksgiving and that type of thing and I'd be walking around. All why did I like what's going on? And there is beer drinking and cigarette smoking and you know, because they weren't saved. And then one after another, all the family members started getting saved and they exchanged really quickly cuz they didn't want that anymore. They wanted fellowship with God and fellowship with each other through. Jesus Christ, God changes that all come to the end of our time will pick up next week. We're in the middle of what Paul has to say to Ephesus to about false teaching and false teachers and so will pick up with bad and then continue on our, how are teaching? Let's close in prayer family, father. Again, we thank you for the capacity to sit and to concentrate and to take in your word and we thank you for the place. You've given us the provision, you've made the people who have paid time and energy in this place and supporting at the improvements that have been made here the way your hand of God. Has been expressed to us to allow us to continue this ministry of teaching your word For Your Glory. We praise you for all who are participating for all, who are listening online, an unexpected blessing of people who are paying attention and following our teaching, the Lord and growing and growing numbers. That's a startling to me. We thank you for that. And we do pray that you would guide us through this coming week or we anticipate, there will be problems and trials as well, but you helped have prepared a way out that is you will have taught us already in your word. How to deal with that doctrinally. When we have full capacity based on your provision to deal with what you said before us, we also understand, there will be divine appointments, Lord for evangelism, and for exportation and we pray that we might be given to those who we might be made available. You might utilize this in all of those situations we pray that as we find ourselves walking in your spirit and paying attention to your word that you would be governing our souls For Your Glory only father, we thank you for this coming season and we pray that we might find our focus on the person who work of our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ, the most important aspect of our entire life. Give us capacity and ability not to be hard, but to be soft towards him. And his ministry in the work that he came to Earth to accomplish and we thank you for this time and we praise you in.

Christ. Jesus through them and in him. Amen.
