1. Jesus is Compassion V. 34

Jesus is compassion σπλαγχνίζομαι (splanchnizomai). vb. to have compassion, pity, deep empathy. Expresses having deep compassion. This verb is similar to what is expressed in modern language as a feeling in one’s “gut” or “heart” of deep empathy for another person.

2. Jesus is the Shepard V.34

The people were supposed to have a shepherd.
They had religious leaders. Scribed, Priest, Pharisees.
They were wondering on the hills searching for direction.
Searching for meaning to life
Searching for a relief for the burden they carried
Searching for healing
Searching for protection
Searching for a leader
Ezekiel 34:1-16 “The word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says to the shepherds: Woe to the shepherds of Israel, who have been feeding themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed their flock? You eat the fat, wear the wool, and butcher the fattened animals, but you do not tend the flock. You have not strengthened the weak, healed the sick, bandaged the injured, brought back the strays, or sought the lost. Instead, you have ruled them with violence and cruelty. They were scattered for lack of a shepherd; they became food for all the wild animals when they were scattered. My flock went astray on all the mountains and every high hill. Can you see it? The Lord is the Shepard?
The Lord is My Shepard Psalm 23 fulfilled
He is teaching them
He lies Down in Green pastures
Beside Still Water
He renews my life
Moses is Disqualified Numbers 27:17 “who will go out before them and come back in before them, and who will bring them out and bring them in, so that the Lord’s community won’t be like sheep without a shepherd.””
Joshua - Greek equivalent is Jesus -Jesus is the Greater Joshua
Jesus is The Good Shepard who lays his life down for his sheep. John 10:11 ““I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
Application:
What is your purpose in life.
Where are you wondering about?
Where is your protection?
Where are you finding rest?
Where are you finding peace?
A pastor is synonymous with the word Shepard. By Gods Grace a Pastor is called to Lead you to to the Living Water to find a Spiritual Drink where you will never thirst again.,
Protect you from the spiritual wolves
Feed you spiritual food milk and or meat.

3. Jesus is the Provider V. 34-44

Spiritual Provision
He began to teach them mean things.
They had religious leaders
They have seen the customs of the people
They were still laking any spiritual nourishment.
The Apostels have just gone out and they were teaching, healing the sick, and casting out demons.
They were becoming a source of spiritual provision for the people. Yet they lacked understanding. They begin to believe and understand they could provide spiritual nourishment but they didn't understand that the one they learned form had the ability to provide physical nourishment as well.

1 Kings 17:9-15 ““Get up, go to Zarephath that belongs to Sidon and stay there. Look, I have commanded a woman who is a widow to provide for you there.” So Elijah got up and went to Zarephath. When he arrived at the city gate, there was a widow gathering wood. Elijah called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup and let me drink.” As she went to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a piece of bread in your hand.” But she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I don’t have anything baked—only a handful of flour in the jar and a bit of oil in the jug. Just now, I am gathering a couple of sticks in order to go prepare it for myself and my son so we can eat it and die.” Then Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid; go and do as you have said. But first make me a small loaf from it and bring it out to me. Afterward, you may make some for yourself and your son, for this is what the Lord God of Israel says, ‘The flour jar will not become empty and the oil jug will not run dry until …”
Elisha 2 Kings 4:42-44 “A man from Baal-shalishah came to the man of God with his sack full of twenty loaves of barley bread from the first bread of the harvest. Elisha said, “Give it to the people to eat.” But Elisha’s attendant asked, “What? Am I to set this before a hundred men?” “Give it to the people to eat,” Elisha said, “for this is what the Lord says: ‘They will eat, and they will have some left over.’ ” So he set it before them, and as the Lord had promised, they ate and had some left over.”
Jesus is the Greater Elijah and Elisha
Jesus provides what is needed for the task at hand but he uses his people to accomplish the task.
V.37 You give the something to eat.
They handed out he bread. Jesus used them to advance his Kingdom He used them to be a means by which he could provide there need.
He has called us all to do the same.
What is our need? A building What does that require funding. If we are doing the work of God to assist the people of God will he provide what we need Yes.
What does that require you to give what God has blessed you with knowing that even if you do think you have enough God will multiply according to your need.
Time, Talents, Tresure.
V.44 5000 Men
V.43 12 Baskets full of bread and fish.
Significant number 12- Provide for all the people of Isreal

4. Jesus is the Bread

1. Bread is a significant tool that God used all throughout the history..
Abraham Melchizadech

Manna in the Wilderness
Temple The Bread of Presents 12 Loaves
The Last Supper Jesus Broke Bread and said this is my body which is given up for you.
The Marriage Feast of the Lamb where we will be siting in the Lords House the House of Zion and feast.
Eating the Bread of the world
You will be malnourished.
Run to Jesus and see who He is Jesus is the Bread of Life. YOu taste and see that the Lord is Good. He will Nourish your body now and for all eternity Run to Jesus and He has promised Everyone who does with eat and be satisfied.
