Introduction

Read through Exodus 16…

I.  You Can Trust the Lord with your Physical needs

The world is consumed with Anxiety…

2.4 Million American Adults have panic disorder

19 Million American Adults have anxiety disorder

Fear or Anxiety makes things bigger than they are… v3

Fear or Anxiety is always about something in the future or something we are getting ready to do.

Fear or Anxiety and the weather forecaster are have about the same accuracy

Fear is crippling to the work of Jesus Christ.

Where  Fear or Anxiety is, God is not.  FEAR NOT

Fear or Anxiety is a result of a wrong view of God.

MY STORY OF PANAC ATTACKS…

Luke 12:22-24 (NASB95)

22     And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on.

23     “For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.

24     “Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!

II.  You Can Trust the Lord with your Spiritual Needs

Manna was a for-shadowing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

            John 6:32-35 (NASB95)

32     Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.

33     “For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.”

34     Then they said to Him, “Lord, always give us this bread.”

35     Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.

John 6:49-51 (NASB95)

49     “Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.

50     “This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.

51     “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”

Some Properties of Manna

            1.  It came to a rebellious people…

            2.  It fell right were they were…

            3.  We must feel the need…

            4.  We must stoop…  Humble ourselves…

            5.  We must get it for ourselves…

            6.  We must do it early…  Before it melts.  Today is the day of salvation.  One day the door will     shut!!!

            7.  We must continue to feed on Him.
