Acts chapter 10.

Starting in nine likes, they going to 23. Don't know about you but I I love this time of year. I like it when it gets colder.

That way when turn all the fan is all in the house. That's another story. Well, I like it when it's cold but I like I just like the Thanksgiving season in the Christmas season. The time we get to spend together most time I like that part, but what I really like is the Traditions like you have you have you probably have tradition certain things. Feel like they're certain things that we do the Sunday. More on that Sunday morning on Christmas morning. This year will be Sunday morning, Christmas morning at our house. We have way too much food. We have enough to last at least three days for some reason. It's just the five of us, but I'm in Ben's I needed. So but we have biscuits and ham and pigs in a blanket and chocolate gravy is what we eat. And if we eat pigs in a blanket in any other time during the year it feels like you're cheating on someone like it's just feels really awkward. We do the cup about a week ago and we don't eat it. The rest of the year. In fact, every time we do it on Christmas when he says why do we do this like like other time? Like I don't know. This is the only. This is like the time that were allowed to do it. I don't know why but just kind of develop that way over time I'm for a long time it was a certain kind of ham that I had to have because that was a ham that I had growing up and slowly I changed over time is that ham got higher in price I changed. It was difficult though because well it hurt my feelings but I changed but it was just tradition. It wasn't like it's a rule. Like you can't have a great Christmas without ham and a biscuit. And I mean although from the South, if that may be a rule for you also but I don't know. I was just, I was just what developed over time. The passage that we're going to be in today is is one in which well it's it's more than just tradition. Honestly, weight. It is tradition but it also goes Way Beyond. It was a command of God that separated God's people in a different way. And the Lord told them, I'm certain dietary restrictions and things that were in their life again to separate them out to to show that they were a holy people, separated out on the god, that they are there different. And then text me come to you today that all just kind of gets flipped upside down and just a moment's notice. And you know how good we are with change. I mean, everybody in this room, you know, you don't not that if you moved one thing in this building, someone would notice that's never happened. That's not the way we normally do it. So every one of us can relate to the conversation that's going to be had in this scripture this morning, everyone of us in some form or fashion but ultimately, we need to realize that what we've been building up to an acts as we are all the way to 10 now, and we'll get through it, at least by the end of the year and Well, on our way to 28 well on her way. Is the fact that the Lord has opened up salvation, for all who will believe, he's making it clear. But the Peter, it's not clear in the moment because he's just a person trying to figure things out which should make you feel really good that you know Peter didn't walk on water and didn't the absolutely just know everything immediately and instantly that he had to actually walk this Christian Life and had to go through trials and tribulations. And he had to grow as a person under God as God, transform them into the man that he wanted them to be. Which to me was a very exciting thing cuz I'm help up. If Peter can do it, I have home. He had a really big mouth and a really big foot and Through Time God change some of those two aspects of him, I'm sure he still had a big mouth and a Bigfoot, but it seemed to shrink over time.

So what I'm saying is, don't throw Peter away today, don't go. Well, I don't have to do any of those things, but really listen to what he goes through in these verses listen to text in verse 9. The next day as they were on their journey and approaching the city. Peter went up to the Housetop Up on the Housetop about the 6th hour to pray, he became hungry and wanting something to eat. While they were preparing and he fell into a trance and saw the heavens opened and something like a great sheet descending being let down by its Four Corners upon the Earth. And in it, we're all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds of the air, there came a voice to him, rise, Peter, kill and eat. But Peter said by no means Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. The boys came to him a second time but God has made clean. Do not call common. This happened three times Anything was taken up at once to heaven. Now while Peter was in really perplexed as to what the vision that he had seen might mean, behold the man who were sent by Cornelius, I'm having made inquiry of Simon's house, stood at the gate, and called out to ask. Whether Simon it was called, Peter was lodging there. While Peter was pondering the vision, the spirit said to him, behold, three, Manor, looking for you rise, go down in the company them without hesitation, or I've sent them. And Peter went down to the man and said, I'm the one. I'm the one you are looking for. What is the reason for you coming? And they said Cornelius Century on an upright and God-fearing man who is well spoken of by, the whole Jewish nation was directed by Holy Angel to send for you, to come to his house and I hear what you have to say. So we invited them in to be his guests, the next day, he arose and went away with them and some of the brothers from Joppa accompany him. So, we have this, this is kind of the continuation of the store that we had last week. So Cornelius is been given this Vision. He's been directed by. God, He Is, We Looked at last week he obeyed and did, as he was told he sent people to, to go get a person that he had never met or seems to have never heard of in a place that he has never been nor heard of. But just out of obedience to what God has directed him to he follows through and obedience. We're going to look at today is Peter's Peter side of the vision, correcting his vision, and then walk kind of how the story unfolds until next week, when we get them both together in the same room, okay? Sorry. The bumper ball was like, you know, climax next week. We'll start with not the way I see it. Okay? Not the way I see it. So and verse 9, we have him as they were on the journey approaching the City PA. What up to the Housetop about the 6th hour to pray. So Peter goes up to the Housetop. You would usually gone outside the building. And there have been a way to get up to the top of the roof. About noon, is when he goes up, and he goes up there to pray and he became hungry, wanting something to eat. While they're preparing it, he fell into a trance and saw the heavens opened up something like a great sheet to tending. I so let's start. Would that do to begin with he's hungry? I know we never get that way. So but he's hungry around the noon time. This is actually not normally. When they would eat there was actually a little earlier or a little later than this. I'm so excited. Like maybe he's missed a meal or something cuz it's getting kind of hungry. You should see the commentary is because he's looking out upon the sea. The things that he think the Lord gives him a vision, okay? And the Lord to do, whatever he wants to do it, it doesn't have to be any particular place or any particular location. It just happens to be. This is where he is, but he's on the rooftop, he's hungry, he seeking the Lord in prayer and Wild. In the Lord in prayer, they're making him something to eat. He falls into a trance. The scripture says, and saw the heavens opened up and something like a great sheet descending being let down by Four Corners upon the Earth. And it will all kinds of animals, and reptiles and birds of the air. And there came a voice to him rise, Peter, kill and eat. Peter says by no means Lord. For I've never eaten anything that is common or unclean. Now, we have to understand a few things. Okay? Cuz to you, and I this sheet coming down from heaven, doesn't mean a whole lot anyting. With a bunch of different animals on it, whatever they might be. We're not sure all the different flavors of it, but we'll talk about that in a minute. But we need to understand is the Old Testament eating laws. We need to understand that there have been things that the Lord had restricted. The Jewish people do not partake of, so I'm not going to read all of them. You can read Leviticus. The whole chart chapter of 11. If you'd like to it points to many of these dietary restrictions, but I'm going to read, starting Universe 41. It says, every swarming thing that swarms on the ground is detestable, it should not be eating whatever goes on its belly. And whatever goes on all fours or whatever. Has made many feet and he's warming thing that swims on the ground. You should not eat for. These are detestable. They should make for yourself. Detestable with a swarming thing that swarms and you do not defile yourself with him and become unclean through them from the Lord, your God consecrate yourself. Therefore be holy for. I am Holy That sounds familiar and you shall not defile yourself with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground. Okay? So that was the swarming. Things of Leviticus 11, Deuteronomy chapter 14 says this. You should not eat any Abomination. These are the animals that you may eat. The ox, the Sheep, the goat, the deer, the gazelle, the Roebuck, the wild goat, the Ibex to Antelope and the mountain sheep. Every animal that part's the hoof and has the hook clothing into and chews. The cud among the animals. You may eat yet of these that chew the cud or have Hood Clothing. You shall not eat. These the camel, the hair the rock badger because they chew the cud, but do not park the hoof and they are in clean to you for you and the pig, because it Parts the hook, but does not chew the cud. It is unclean for you there. Flesh, you shall not eat in their carcasses. You shall not touch. Of all these are in the waters. You may eat these. Whatever has fins and scales you may eat. But whatever does not have fins or scales. You shall not eat for it. Is unclean to you. There's Becky shrimp. There's a problem with those Lobster. You got a problem K-Love Fan snowmobile is. All right? I had to get that in there. Cuz Becky's really concerned about it. So he's Old Testament regulations that God puts forth before the Jewish people on what they could and could not eat. And in those verses he says be holy for. I am Holy, he has set them apart for his purposes, for his namesake. Who decided what animal was clean and unclean to them? It wasn't them. They didn't get a room and begin to decide. Hey, do you like me? How, you know, I'm a pretty good. I like the barbecue things. They didn't do that. It wasn't up to them. It wasn't their choices. It was God separating them and saying, KD The things you may partake of, these are not the things that you may partake up. And understand. I'm doing it to show that you are mine and you are different and You Are. Holy. Your chosen by me. He's just separating them out. Now, the thing that we have to get and we have to attach herself to to really understand where Peter is in these verses, is that we have to understand that this has been going on for thousands of years. Thousands of years, people handed this down and read the Old Testament and gone according to these ways and live their life. According to there's ways and and made sure that they stayed away from them that they might follow and be obedient to the Lord.

Peter himself in these verses. He says he hadn't for taking of any of these things. The fisherman Peter heading for taking of any of these things because why he sought the Lord is not to be obedient to what the Lord had told him to do.

What you can't do is in one moment, give information that you have to Peter.

Well, we know we know that Christ was filled all the law and that we are no longer under that. So yes, you may eat shrimp. Because the dietary restrictions that were placed on the Jews are not placed on us as Christians, as Believers as followers of the Lord, if not, the whole South would have a huge problem with pigs.

But at the same time, we don't need to say that. Peter should have known. And why did he get this already? Listen walk through this with Peter just like God's trying to teach you a lesson. You have these things in your life, right there called lessons at the Lord. Try to teach you least. I think you do if you'll recognize them sometimes we reckon them recognize them on the front end and those are a little easier to walk through because we kind of see what the Lord is trying to do or at least we're trying to figure it out. Sometimes you don't get the lesson until will you get to the end of the whole thing in your life completely up? Peter is being trying is as being taught by God in this Vision, to do something. That is against everything, all of his traditions and everything that he had been a told to do as being an obedient. You before the Lord. Now, he had taught Peter part of this already. If you go back to Matthew chapter 15, listen to this, and he called the people to him and he said to them here and understand it's not what goes in your mouth that defiles a person. But what comes out of the mouth, this deposit person, then the disciple said to him, do you not know that the Pharisees were offended? When they heard the saying he answered every plant that mine every plant that my heavenly father has not planted will read it up but they let them alone. They are blind guides at the blind. Lead the blind, both will fall into a pit, but Peter says to him, explain the parable to us. And he says, are you also still without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes in the stomach and is expelled, but what comes out of the mouth, receipts from the heart, List the files, a person out of a heart comes evil, thoughts murder adultery, sexual immorality theft false, witness slander, these the file a person but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone. The dietary laws of the Old Testament had been fulfilled completely in our Lord, Jesus Christ. And he's now teaching the know what the files a person comes out of the heart of man.

11 Wednesday night walking through the Sermon on the Mount is this very truth coming out over and over and again, is it not? He says you have heard it said, but I said, hey, and he's trying to teach us that there's a there's a problem with our hearts. There's an uncleanliness in our hearts. And what is unclean is the deepest part of our hearts that needs a savior that needs someone to be make it to have it made clean, and it's nothing that you and I can do it something that he does for us. And when we repent and believe he can cleanse us but in these verses he's he's just Peter trying to struggle through this. Peter. Sitting there going, okay, back to Matthew 15, somebody, give me a Bible that have one he's going through in his mind. And he seen this sheet to spend drop down in front of him. And all these unclean animals that are better layered upon it, one after another and the voice says, take eat it. He's responding in the way that he has responded a thousand times over before. Now, no way, I'm not touching that, that makes me unclean.

He's just doing what he knows at the moment and the Lord is teaching him.

I think this is so cool. I think it's so interesting to see how he's he's helping him understand this principle in a totally in a way that won't you, and I wouldn't think anything of it. I mean, come on somebody. Put down a barbecue pit in front of Austin with a pig on it, be like

Right. Barbecue sauce, give me a minute. I'm young.

4 Peter.

It's a problem. I mean, it's a pretty big problem and it's come down from the heavens.

It happens. everytime, I think I think the Lord gives him three times because well, I need this kind of Peters Peters weigh in it. This isn't the first time it's happened, three times. How many times did he deny the Lord three times?

How many times did he? I asked what you do. Love me. 3, *. Love these scriptures mean things. He's, I put them in the outline. I'm not going to read them all the way through, but he denied him 3 times and John 18, he was asked three times and John 21. I'll read that one when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon, Peter Simon, son of John. Do you love me more than these? He said yes Lord, you know that I love you. They said they have feed my Lambs.

Send him a second time. Simon son of John. Do you love me? You said to him? Yes. Lord. You you know that I love you. He said to him, tend my sheep. Sit in the third time, Simon son of John. Do you love me? And Peter was grieved? Because he said to him the third time, do you love me? And he said to him Lord, you know everything, you know that I love you. You said to him feed my sheep truly, truly, I say to you. When you were young used to dress yourself and walk wherever you want it. But when you are older, you will stretch out your hands and another will dress you and carry you, where you do not want to go this. He said the show, what kind of death he was to glorify God after saying that she said to him, follow me.

Be with Peter. Peter's life lessons that he's walkthrough. The first was denying Christ three times and he he told him I'll never do that. Remember that will never happen. No way that's happening until it happen. He walked away and sorrow. And guilt had to be heavy on his shoulders that day. Then the Lord, since before him on that beat eating breakfast as they sit there together. The Lord restores Peter into a relationship with him. Reminding him. Do you love me? Kathy, Peters, going to be a leader. You're going to be a leader that is going to be used, Miley by God. Peter doesn't fully understand. He's just like you and I he's just going through it one step at a time and he's like what do you mean, why you keep asking me? Do I love you? You know, the depths of my heart, your God, you know, I love you.

He said then feed my sheep and follow me. Repeater on this day when he's confronted with this truth and which the sheet comes down from heaven and all these animals that he's not to partake of, I'm some even listed Lobster, not listed shrimp, some Twisted Lobster amongst them.

The only thing Peter can think of In This Moment is that there's no way I'm going to defile myself and partake of that. I was actually trying to uphold what he believes God wants him to do.

It's not as if he has all the information and he's done and he just, you know what? I'm going to do, what I want to do know, he he truly. He's truly trying to understand this and having difficulties with it. Can you imagine someone following the Lord and having difficulties understanding things along the play?

America everybody in this room. I talked to you quite a bit and as you go through life, I know the Lord directs and guides all kinds of things in your life. And there are times where it while you're just, what are you doing? What's going on? Where am I at, what's, what's the purpose in the plan? What's the, can you give me the rest of the picture and sometimes he just gives you just enough.

I'll be honest with you, most of the time he gives you just enough. Why what would cause he wants you to grow? He wants you to place your faith not in yourself, not in your own ideas, not in your Traditions, not in and what you heard in the past. And what you. But what you really know. God said, Want to see you just challenge that. Each of our hearts has is claiming to know something but not knowing where it comes from. Claiming to know a truth and say, this is what God says. And then someone saying, where's that in the Bible? And that's going, you know, I don't know.

I'm pretty sure he said it though.

Conditions that we can hang our hats on now. Do you understand? Peter is absolutely, this is absolutely something that God had ordained in the Old Testament set before them, and he's laid it out before him and his his response that by no means. Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. Was a great testimony to his belief in God.

And to him being set apart. but the voice says, the boys came to him a second time, said, what God has made unclean? Do not call Carmen. Happens three times. And the thing was taking up at once into the heavens. so, you got Peter Is Will hungry. Make it as meal. Sitting on the rooftops. That kind of sounds like, nice and peaceful and quiet. Good place to go away to get away from everything, right? Which is right one. God says, I got this time. And he's sitting there any sees this vision?

He doesn't fully understand exactly what is going on.

And I want you before we go to verse 17, I want you to understand. This is the first time the Lord has taught him this lesson. It's the first time.

Number 17. Now, while Peter was inwardly perplexed.

Inwardly perplex. So this is to not know what to do to be very confused.

I thought about putting up a big calculus problem on the board and let me look at it and then seeing that look on your face and going, that's it. But I didn't do it. Cuz I figured we all know. We all know that moment when somebody says something to her, or the war tells us something, and we go

a genuinely wants to know, right? I mean, he wouldn't be perplexed if he didn't care, cuz then comes down and goes back up in the heavens. He like, wow, where's my sandwich?

Genuinely wants to know, he knows this is God, he knows the lawyers, trying to tell him something, the Lord is trying to teach him something, but he just, he just doesn't know what.

He doesn't know what exactly it is. And so you can see, I'm kind of sitting there contemplating and working through in it in his confusion. Because, well, he doesn't have the entire story.

You know how it's all going to end. You do.

Like a good movie or something that you have information that the other person doesn't have the other guy in the movie and, you know, something that they don't have. Like we know we have information that Peter at this point does not have. We can see it. So like you know it's like that the horror film or whatever, you know, the person's about to go in the room and you know who's in the room when you're like.

The guy walks in and don't give Peter the information that you have, he he doesn't have it, he doesn't know how it's all going to unfold. He's just piecing his life together one step at a time. And this, this blanket is come down. And lay before him in the food, he's been told to eat. He's like, why would I do such a thing that makes me unclean and he told three times and you know that has the ring in his ad, doesn't it? Three times I've done this before.

You know, the Lord taught me back then. What is he trying to do now? And so is he struggling with himself?

Do you hear me? A struggling with himself.

It's a good place to be.

Didn't dismiss it. He didn't just shove it aside.

He's just confused and doesn't know what to do.

And he doesn't have. Where's 22. Let's just sneak over there real quick and they said cornelison Century on upright and God-fearing man who is well spoken by? The whole Jewish nation was directed by a Holy, Angel to send for you, to come to his house and to hear what you have to say. He doesn't have even that piece of information, all he has is this thing come down from the heaven and sit before him and he's just trying to work it out in his head. So he's in weirdly perplexed as to what the vision he had seen. White might mean, and behold the man who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood at the gate, and called out to ask, where the Simon who is called. Peter was lodging there. Okay. This is fine. like, Adjust the right noon hour, he goes up to the roof at just the right time. The vision comes to him hungry. To where it's kind of enticing. I'll take some of that food. He says, no, I can never make myself unclean. I could not do that. I haven't, I haven't done that. I can't, I can't even see that. The blanket goes away after the third time, and that Rings true. And his head is like, God, trying to teach me something. What, what am I getting out of the? What am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to understand? How am I supposed to see this? Do all the things are going through his head and it just as that ends and a stator being perplexed, what happens?

Just at the right time I show up at the gate.

And while Peter was still pondering the vision. How about that? And while Peter was still pondering the vision, the spirit said to him behold three men are looking for you rise, and go down at a company than without hesitation, I have sent them. The Lord teaches them a lesson that he isn't even through teaching him. The Lord gives him a vision in which he doesn't fully understand he's in the state of being perplexed. He is still trying. He is pondering the vision still in the middle of pondering and a seeking the Lord. And he remember he was there and prayer. And the middle of pondering that Vision, the Lord says, hey there's guys at the gate go and do what they say without hesitation

talk to me in a lot of stuff here. I didn't give him any more info. Why didn't the spirits say, hey look knucklehead, I'm trying to teach you that the Lord is opening up this of the Gentiles. To all people can come to know him. It's not just, you just say everybody. When is laid out there like plain and simple, just tell him.

I don't know. He's God. you're done that if you wanted to write, I see you instead. Peter has to express his face and just be obedient to where God has him at the moment and do the next thing. In the state of being perplexed, in the state of that can being confused and a state of not understanding everything that's going on. At the present time, the spirit comes to him. And in the middle of pondering, he says go with them. Don't even hesitate. Just do what they tell you to do.

Look at verse 21. Is Guided by the spirit and verse 17 through 20 and inverse 21. He just obedient to that spirit. Peter went down to the man and said. I am the one you were looking for. What is the reason for your coming? They said Cornelius to Century on an upright and God-fearing man who was 12th woken up by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by the Holy, Angel to send for you, to come to his house and to hear what you have to say. So I invited him in to be his guests. The next day he rose and went away with them and some of the brothers from drop accompanied him.

I want you to hear me if you had me, listen up and I'll just take one with your second, okay?

In the middle of Peter's confusion. He still obedient.

I'm saying things, I'm just in case you didn't hear it in the middle of being confused. You still obedient? Because see his confidence is not in himself, his confidence isn't an understanding of his own understanding his confidence. It and then all the thousands of years of tradition and what the lord has laid out before the Jewish people, his confidences and then another is confidence is in Christ. His confidence is in that as he goes, one more step in his obedient one more day. And one more step and each step that he takes that the Lord will reveal what he is to learn along the way. Whatever that may be. And when he finds out what that is, he will be obedient to that. Because why? Because this is not about Peter. This is about him being obedient to What the Lord Has for him.

I love it. There are two huge lessons in these verses. I think the one, obviously, From Peter's perspective. He's confused. He doesn't understand. He's staying with a gentile that would have made him unclean in the first place of the Lord was already trying to prepare his heart. The Gentiles come to the gate. There's more Gentiles he's going to a gentile That would have made him on playing again. He was gone from unclean, done playing the unclean whether you touched the food or not. At this point, he is well into being unclean from Jewish standards. Staying in a smelly house from last week. Remember,

it was very clearly trying to teach him that the gospel is good for all people. There's no one to restricted from, and that all may come to know him. That is obvious. But not the Peter. Not yet. Because we have more information than he has. And I think that's the second lesson. The first is obviously the Lord made a way for you, and I do understand that like this is the Lord making a way for the Gentile. You and me that we might come to a place of repentance and faith and come to know him as Lord.

Not for this clear. Presentation of the Gospel is open to everyone you and I may never know him.

Secondly, I think underlying this and our application part of it is and what a life. What a life you been called to live?

Tell me don't know what your peter to be like, man, Peter, Peter got rough being the head of the disciples being the biggest mouth in the biggest foot. I tell you what,

and don't do the other thing either. Well, if I was one of those people, I know a lot more.

so, you wouldn't if you just like yard today, going to guess things one at a time as the Lord sees fit to give you truth, then you might live holy and pleasing before you

11. This is our life.

I think it's a call for you and I embrace. Embrace it. Don't find it. Embrace it. You are not God.

You've made that clear. You made that clear the moment that you repented and believed and said he's Lord, and I'm not the moment that you said that I can't be my own righteousness and I desperately need the righteousness of Christ. You made it clear in that moment and I pray everyday as you go about your business of the Lord's business that that you don't have it.

I pray that we don't go around and saying with big chest and big heads how great we are.

But understanding that this life that we live in Christ, is one in which he guides, he directs your steps.

Beloved. He is trying to teach us the truth all the time. Ask for arbi dance. That's what he asks.

Ask for us to be obedient to the things that he gives us. For we are weak and he is strong, but we are pouring in his crate.

I just think.

I think we should understand.

The death of how much we need him.

man, Peter

Looking at it from this side of it, don't you like all for free like you want me to give him a hug? Don't you man I feel your pain trying to figure this out and being fourplex. I've been there Peter it's going to be okay. Alright keep walking, keep going keep me in obedience one chapter away. He gives you everything that you're looking for. Just hold on.

I love you and I just don't get the manual.

There's a reason for it. It's called faith. Peter's faith is in Christ, he is up on the roof, he's just hungry. He has a vision that Vision comes to him very clearly. He's like I ain't touching, that ain't never touch that. What's wrong with you? Why would I ever do such a thing three times, the blank, it goes back up into the heavens? He's from Plexi trying to figure it out. What does that mean? What does he want me to do? You want me to eat the stuff? He told me not to eat. I thought you told me not to eat it. Now I'm supposed to eat it. I'm so confused. What am I supposed to do? In the middle of that and seeking the Lord Hart. And speaking to the Gentiles come to the gate. He's like he was like, hey, go with him. Don't even hesitate.

Don't even hesitate.

This is a truth, God's giving you go be obedient to what he has in front of you. This is Peter's life y'all. This is a real man during a real time. Just trying to walk and what God has given him.

My prayer. For each of our hearts is that first that we would understand that, there is no one beyond the reach of God.

cuz I'll be telling you in my own heart, there's times where I see people and I judge them and I put them into a place where God can never get that one. And that's insane. Cuz God got me.

I have no right before God. I have, I have nothing that there's no Beauty in me that the Lord saw

I love the Lord saw fit to save and Redeem Me. The story. No one outside the hand of God. Then beloved understand it. When you're in his head, you're in his hand.

Hit hit him, leave Peter. He did at no point in time today, ever leave Peter. He cares for Peter. He's trying to instruct Peter. Why is he trying to instruct Peter so much because he knows Peter is going to instruct others.

Right. And what is Peter told, he says what he wants to hear what you have, what does he have? What is it going to give to Cornelius? He's going to give Christ. This is what I know. what a pleasure it is to be called by the King of Kings to give away that, what you, and I have one of them amazing things that he takes people who are low and dirty and unclean and unrighteous and filthy, If you are on that blanket, you are the creeping thing. Just so you know, You are detestable you were Untouchable. You are unclean in every form or fashion in. The God says, I can clean that one up.

That's a story. How blessed we are to know Christ, Our King this way.

My challenge is morning, is that you would Embrace that very truth?

Don't run from the lessons that the Lord has before you. They come every day. And just about all the time. We have choices to be made on whether we're going to choose our own heart and our own flesh. We have them. When someone cuts us off in line, we have them. When the boss tells us something to do, we having with somebody who's not a boss tells us something to do, we have them, when we go home with her family's, we have around the holiday seasons. Oh my goodness. You will be giving all kinds of opportunities to grow in the Lord around family. I guarantee it. Why is someone so not doing it? The way, we've always done it.

When you hear yourself say that this week, you just remember you heard it here first.

It's our hearts.

Run this holiday season and this time where we're supposed to be giving thanks and this time of season when we're supposed to be reminded of the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, has redeemed us for his namesake not our own. We can get caught up in the all the things that aren't any of those things. And beloved, it's even more than that. You were called to live a thankful life everyday because you've been redeemed because you were once on clean have been made. Clean been washed white as snow by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ in the body that was broken for you. That is our story. It should accidentally make a grin come to your face when you're reminded of what God's done for you. And a life lived before him is going to be one in which you were in training, 24/7 365.

Hard lessons. Easy Lessons. Beloved, why do you think we do this stuff together? Cuz there's going to be times where you go through a lesson that I've been through and I'll be all man. I had to learn that one the hard way and I can help. All the times where I desperately need to hear from you. If you're going to be like oh yeah, yeah, the Lord has been working on me on that one too, right now. I've been trying to figure it out, I've been a little perplexed on what the next step is.

This is what we do. This was while we walk through this together, we're all on the same page were saved by the same Grace. It's my story.

You're in worldly perplex this morning about something. The Lord understands. He does. It's raining you. And his righteousness, not yours. I pray, we come before you. Now we thank you. Lord. By we thank you for a life lived in the blood of Lord, Jesus Christ, we thank you for the holy spirit that dwells inside your beloved even now Father, that you might even look upon us.
