Drawing closer to God should be every child of God’s desire.
This morning we preached about what we need in 2023.
I did not include it but Drawing closer to God I think should be at the top of that list.
Just real quick I want to try and help us do just that as we move forward in 2023.
This is our theme verse for 2023.
Tonight I would like to real briefly before we get into looking at where I think God is leading us this year and coming years, I want to look at how we can draw closer to God in 2023.

Through Prayer
v.22
One of the best ways to draw nigh to God is through Prayer.
Prayer is our life line to the throne room.
God loves it when His people seek Him and talk to Him
Through Scripture
vs.22c - 23
If you want to draw closer to God in 2023, you will not get there by not reading His Word.
Paul tells Timothy that His Word is 2Tim.3:16
Scripture is ment to purify us and cleanse us so that God can use us.
Dont you want to be used by God in 2023?
God only uses people He communes with.
Our theme verse tells us that we are to cleanse our hands and purify our hearts.
How is this done?
Through reading of God’s Word.
Then God will draw nigh to us
Results of not reading Scripture
Through Worship
vs.24-25
We will draw nigh to God if we are unified in worship.
God has placed a big emphasis on worship.
And He will meet with us if we come together unified in worship
