Jesus The Truth

John 14:6 NLT
6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 18:37 NKJV
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
You can paraphrase John 14:6, “I am the way that reveals the truth (about God) and gives life (to people).”I am the truth of God
Jesus is the visual aid of what God is like. Jesus did not just tell the truth, He embodied it. He put truth into a visible, concrete form so all who so desire can see it.
Jesus Christ is the full, final and complete revelation of God. Jesus is the truth. “I myself am the truth.” “I and I alone, and no one else am the truth.”
aletheia, which means "reality, the manifested, unconcealed essence of a matter."
He is the authoritative representative and revealer of God. He hears what the Father says and does what the Father tells Him to do
John 5:19 NLT
19 So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.
John 8:29 NKJV
29 And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”
Jesus Christ is the reality of all God’s grace toward us sinners. Grace and truth could not just be given. It actually came through the living person of Jesus Christ.
The very truth of God resides in Christ. He is “full of grace and truth” (John 1:14), and He is the source of grace and truth to every person.
To have the Truth is to have eternal life
John 17:3 NLT
3 And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
Without Jesus Christ people are under the power and influence of the devil, who is the father of lies.
Men have exchanged the truth about God for a lie (Rom. 3:7, 15:8)
Romans 1:25 (NLT)
25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.
Satan is Christ's diametrical opposite, one hundred percent unmodified deceit. He is called “the Father of lies”
John 8:44 NKJV
44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
And life is like a replay of the garden over and over … did God really say
John 8:25–26 NLT
25 “Who are you?” they demanded. Jesus replied, “The one I have always claimed to be. 26 I have much to say about you and much to condemn, but I won’t. For I say only what I have heard from the one who sent me, and he is completely truthful.”

Know the Truth

John 8:30–32 NLT
30 Then many who heard him say these things believed in him. 31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Its not the truth that sets you free, its knowing the truth
You can have the book on your shelf, you can hold it in your hands, but unless you know it, its not going to set you free
You have to know the truth & apply it
Hearsay is incredibly cheap, knowing has immeasurable value
Paul understood the value of knowing Jesus Christ
Philippians 3:8–11 NKJV
8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Craving the word of God
We need the word of Truth - even Jesus when tempted by Satan boldly stated that “people do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4
2 Timothy 3:16–17 NKJV
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
John 17:17 NLT
17 Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.
If you're tired of being decieved you need to turn your eyes toward the truth

The Power in knowing the Truth

When we bring Jesus, who is truth, in to the equation everything changes.
Thats the life of Jesus, truth came to people’s lives and situations when they encountered him.
Nicodemus - how must I be saved? salvation
Healed leppers, blind people, those with sickness & diseases
Healed people with mental conditions
Raised people from the dead
Stilled storms
Provided food and money
Set free those that were demon possessed
John 1:1–5 NLT
1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. 4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
The darkness can never extinguish it!
Jesus the embodiment of the truth His Father & His Fathers Kingdom, changed everything.
Everything must bow to the Name above all Names
We function in the power of Jesus, when we come to the knowledge of who He is!
1 Timothy 2:1–4 NLT
1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
I believe we are entering a time where the Church is having its eyes open to the truth & reality of God and His kingdom. The reality of the authourity we possess through Jesus, the Way, the Truth & the Life. It will be a season of the church rising up in power and anointing. that the glory of the Lord will be visible to all! Where the church realises who they are and who they are called to be… a glorious bride for the King of Kings!
Its time to seek the Lord, while he may be found.

Conclusion

Ephesians 6:10–18 NLT
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
