How to Rule Over Sin

Feed the spirit. Galatians 5:16 “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”
Starve the flesh. Job 31:1 ““I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I gaze at a virgin?”
Surround yourself with the community of faith. Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Be where you are supposed to be. 2 Samuel 11:1 “In the spring of the year, the time when kings go out to battle, David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel. And they ravaged the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem.”
Don’t be strong, be smart. 2 Timothy 2:22 “So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.”
Build smart fences. Leviticus 18:30 “So keep my charge never to practice any of these abominable customs that were practiced before you, and never to make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.””
Confess when needed. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
