What Good is the Past?
Lessons learned
Won’t make that mistake again
An opportunity for growth
Faithfulness of God
What God brought into our lives to teach us
What God spared us from though we deserve it
As we begin our study of the book of Deuteronomy we enter into it with a desire to learn from those who have gone before us so we can apply the wisdom they gained and avoid the mistakes that taught them.
We also begin with the joy of knowing that God is faithful to keep his promises in spite of our failures.
This is why we titled the sermon series: Deuteronomy: Changing Times and an Unchanging God
Our times change and the choices we make shift life around us but the firm foundation of God in our lives never shifts and never fails.
