English Standard Version (Psalm 46)
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth!”
As the New Year breaks I often choose a passage from the Bible to focus on that year. For 2023 I have chosen a verse in the Psalms and I have been meditating on it almost continually this year. I need it!! Maybe you do too!
As I think about prayer, especially about approaching the Lord in prayer. Especially about what it means to adore Him, this verse seemed appropriate. The verse is Psalm 46:10. Will you look that verse up in your Bible, please? I want you to see it with your eyes, hear it with your ears, and mark it in your Bible if you are a “Bible marker” like me.
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)
Will you repeat that verse with me please.
It’s a short verse, a simple verse; but it contains a depth of meaning. Meaning that is very applicable to us today. If we capture the meaning of this verse it will impact our prayer life! I guarantee it!
