John 18:35–38 (NKJV)
35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?”
36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.”
Pilate asked a very important question and What is truth?
Why is truth Important?
Why is it that everyone who is of the truth hears Jesus Voice.?
How do we know the truth?
John 14:6–10 (NKJV)
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
Jesus Christ is the truth. All truths come from him.
Knwoing who he is, his identy, his nature is knwoing the truth.
Philip here in this instance did not know that Jesus was the everlasting Father.
That he God the father in the Flesh.
Hence he did not Know Jesus because he was the truth.
John 1:14–17 (NKJV)
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”
16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is truth and he came to manifestand give us the truth.
NOTE: Just like Jesus Christ is the truth and all forms of truth emanates from him. The Knoweldge of the identity of Jesus Christ is the truth upon which all other truths

The Church is established in the Truth.

Matthew 16:15–19 (NKJV)
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
The Rock is the revelation of the Son of God. the Answer to the question who Do you say I am?
Therefore the Church is foundation upon the Knowledge of The Truth, The Knowledge of who Jesus Christ is.
1 Timothy 3:15–16 (NKJV)
15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.
The Church of the Living is the pillar of the Ground of the Truth.
The Church of God is established in the Truth, which the Knwoeldge of who Jesus Christ is.
Satan cannot prevail against the Church because Satan can not stand in the truth.
John 8:44 (NKJV)
44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Satan does not stand in the Truth.
Since the foundation of God’s Church is the truth, the devil cannot prevail against the Church.
This is the reason why Satan is does everything in his power to subvert the truth. To blind people from the knoweldge of the Truth. From Knowing who Jesus Is.
The attraction of God’s Church is the Truth.
When one comes to the House of God one must come seeking the truth.
Becuase only those who have coming seeking the truth will remain in the truth, will remian in God’s house.
Jesus question to the first desciple who came following him.
John 1:35–38 (NKJV)
35 Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.
36 And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”
37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”
Example of John
John 6:22–27 NKJV
22 On the following day, when the people who were standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except that one which His disciples had entered, and that Jesus had not entered the boat with His disciples, but His disciples had gone away alone— 23 however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks— 24 when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. 25 And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?” 26 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. 27 Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
Jesus begins to manifest th rtuth to them
John 6:41-51
Up to this point they have known him only as Jesus the Son of Marry and Joseph.
He know reveals to them that He is the the bread of God that Has come form Heaven.
That his flesh is from heaven and that the life by which we will live.
John 6:58-68.
They left him because of the truth.
This is the reason why you have to come to Jesus Seeking the truth because when the truth is reveal, it will be too much for you to accept and you will depart from it.

What we are to do with The truth

Buy the truth and do not sell it

Proverbs 23:23 (NKJV)
23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.
Truth comes at a cost and must not be sold
Luke 14:33 “33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”
Philip 3:8 “8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ”

2. Worship God in Truth

John 4:19–24 (NKJV)
19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”
21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
True worshipers are those who worship God in the Spirit and in The Truth. NOt like the samaratan women not knowing who she was worshiping.
The Church of the Living is the assembly of those who worhip God in the Truth.
We know what we are worshiping.

3. We Must obey the truth

Galatians 3:1 (NKJV)
1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?
We must obey the truth.
Example of this is the Gospel
Ephesians 1:13 NKJV
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Acts 19, The ephesians obeyed the Gospel (the word of Truth) by being baptised in Jesus name.
Romans 2:5–9 NKJV
5 But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6 who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: 7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; 8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;
Those who don’t obey the truth will suffer God’s wrath and indignation.

3. We must not suppres the truth

Romans 1:18–19 NKJV
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
When God manifest his truth instead of embracing it, there are those who try to suppress it.
The pharisee paid the soldier to speak lies about Christ body being stolen though they were eye witness of his ressurection.
There are those who subvert the truth which is clearly seen in the scriptures.

4. We must not exchange the Truth for a lie.

Romans 1:24–25 NKJV
24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Those who exchange the truth for a lie shall fall under the curse of the Lord.

5. We Must speak the truth

Ephesians 4:14–15 NKJV
14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
We Must speak the Truth. When we speak it it has to be spoken in love.
The motive behind speaking the truth should be love.
Jeremiah 9:3 NKJV
“And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” says the Lord.

6. Walk/live in the Truth

3 John 3–4 (NKJV)
3 For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
We must live in the truth.

7 We must be felloworkers of the truth

3 John 5–8 (NKJV)
5 Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers,
6 who have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well,
7 because they went forth for His name’s sake, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we may become fellow workers for the truth.
We must in any capacity we have to help in the work of the propogation of the truth
By Supporting those who labour and go out to proclaim this truth, to teach this truth we are becoming fellowor workser of the truth.
