The Holy Spirit
Undoubtedly the least understood Person of the Godhead is the Holy Spirit. As proof, just notice the difficult word in the preceding sentence. “Person”—what does that mean when speaking of three Persons yet one God? “Godhead”—why add the “-head”? And “Spirit” seems a strange word to use of a person. Yet a proper understanding of the Spirit is basic to many doctrines—inspiration of the Bible, several important aspects of salvation, and many facets of the Christian life. We start at the logical beginning by asking a question.
