Introduction
Shake hands-watch for hand shakes, eye contact, etc.
Everything we do has a purpose. To gain confidence in where the Lord is leading you.
Introduce myself
“Where you’ve been, Where you are, and where are you going”-Two practical benefits-interviewing and confidence in interaction, and formulating God’s plan for your life

God’s Purpose for You

Do you believe God is providentially working in your life?
Do you believe you are sitting here this morning by happenstance or do you believe the Lord has been working this out for you?
The initial request you made is you asked us where we are wanting to go?
Until you find His purpose for your life you will never find real joy in life. Why do I say that? He created you.
Psalms 139:14 “14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”
Jeremiah 29:11 “11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
So, if you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will never find real meaning to life.
But, once you come to that saving knowledge of Jesus, we look to the NT to find our purpose in serving Him.
Luke 10:1-5 “1 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road. 5 But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’”

Plan of Action

A couple of pillars to build your life
Luke 10:27 “27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ””
Matthew 28:19-20 “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Luke 10:1 “1 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.”
Salvation Free

Luke 9:57-58-Commitment-get out of your comfort zone
Luke 9:59-60-Conflicts
Luke 9:61-62-Compromise
Appointed-to proclaim any one as elected to office
to announce as appointed a king, general, etc.
to lift up anything on high and exhibit it for all to behold
Partnership-two by two
Preparation-”before His face in every city and place where He himself was about to go.”
Crowns do not come on the couches of life. Crowns come from engaging community for change.

Pray for His Answers

Luke 10:2 “2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
-Opportunities are abundant for the taking
-God’s Miracles do not come until we get in motion
-Binoculars-God’s Will comes when we shake the trees
-His Harvest
Ill. Boss-working, but not in the order of the boss-the boss is seasoned and knows what work order flow has to happen to get the task completed
-Ill. I am a list guy-go out with an agenda-when roadblocks, obstacles, I am not working the list God would have for me.
-Story of King Solomon
1 Kings 3:7-10 “7 Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 8 And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. 9 Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” 10 The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.”
Ill-Lists-I am a list person. Have you ever asked why your agenda gets destroyed with obstacles, roadblocks, etc. You may not be working on the Lord’s list when that happens.
-When you no matter what you do can not seem to gel at the job, or you find struggle the whole way through-you have not found your fit.

Peace will be Affirmed

Luke 10:5-6 “5 But whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.”
-When you are in the center of His will, peace will be the affirmation. Peace will be the prevailing feeling. Now, do not misunderstand that any first days on a job will be uncertain because you are working in a new environment, but God will send signals that you have found your place.
Remember that Word appoint?
Even this morning, do you have peace?
JOhn 14:27 “27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
