I BELIEVE.

What an hour to be a believer. Daily we are inundated with bad news.  Foreclosure rates are up, the economy is down, and the jobless rate is increasing.  Gang violence is on the rise. My, my, my what is happening to the world we live in?  What in the world is the Lord doing.  I am reminded as I study his word that the Lord has a plan. As I was spending time in the word of the Lord I read a story about a young lady. She had the birthright and heritage of generations of believers.  However she was in captivity in a foreign land as well as many of her people.  God used some crazy circumstance to elevate the young lady and she became she queen of the land.  If you haven’t guessed whom I am talking about by now let me tell you.  Her name was Esther. , She was known throughout the land as the queen. The fact that she was also a Jew was kept hidden the fact that she believed in the God of heaven had to remain unknown.  Until one day it got real bad for her people.  An enemy determined that he would destroy all the Jews in the land and provinces from India to Ethiopia.  Would Esther be exempt?  Could she do anything about this situation?  According to her own words she declared, maybe the Lord gave her this position for such a time as this. It was time for the king to really know who she was.  She was a believer!  She called on her people to fast a pray that the Lord would grant her favor before the king.

The rest of story is that the Jews were saved; their enemy and his family destroyed and the nation of Israel lived on to believe another day.  What does this have to do with the hour that we are living? I am glad you asked.  You see, just as God had a plan then he has a plan now. He sent his own son that we might have access to his throne.  Hebrews 11:6 declares that “without faith it is impossible to please him, for those who come to him must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.”

God has a plan, his ways and his thoughts are higher than our ways and thoughts.  Yet he has revealed his ways and thoughts to us through his word. From Genesis to Revelation God declares emphatically that he desires to have a relationship with whosoever will.  Genesis chap. 3, we see the Lord coming to commune with Adam in the cool of the day. And in Revelation chap. 3 we hear his declaration: “behold I stand at the door and knock: if any hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and sup with him and he with me.”  It is throughout the rest of the book that he declares by what means we are to approach him.  The good news is that the way was made through the shed blood of the Lord.

Jesus said come unto me all that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden light. Matthew 11:28-30

Pursue a relationship with him.  The greatest gifts that we have in our lives are not the things that we have; they are the people in our lives.  His gift to us is relationship.  Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.

God has chosen to fulfill his plan through mankind catch a glimpse of what the Lord has in store for You just simply need to allow him to reveal himself by his Spirit through the people that he has placed around you. Have faith in the Lord for all things are possible to those who believe.

Jesus asked the question “when the Son of Man returns, will he find Faith upon the earth?” Are you a believer?  If you answered this question with a “yes” then you are the light of the world. Let your light shine so other might see the love of the Lord.  If you answered that question with a no. Then the good news is you can be. Like the wise men, find the light that will lead you to the Lord

God has a plan, do you believe. I do.  Seeing is not believing, believing is seeing.
