“Is God Just in Sending People to Hell?”
MESSAGE.
I. Availability.
Two Righteousness
Law
No Power
Purpose to reflect God’s character.
Faith
It is not based on works.
You do not have to go to heaven to find God’s Righteousness.
You do not have to go to the grave to find God’s Righteousness.
We already have it with in out grasp.
Paul refers them back to Deuteronomy 30:14 “14 “But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.”
Faith is all that is needed was simple child like faith to believe and confess that Jesus is Lord.
Jesus as Lord
Cranfield’s conclusion that “for Paul, the confession that Jesus is Lord meant the acknowledgment that Jesus shares the name and the nature, the holiness, the authority, power, majesty, and eternity of the one and only true God” (A CRITICAL AND EXEGETICAL COMMENTARY on the Epistle to the Romans - C. E. B. Cranfield, p 529.).
Those who come to Christ by faith are acknowledging that they have placed themselves entirely and without reserve under his authority to carry out without hesitation whatever he may choose for them to do.
There is no such thing as salvation apart from lordship.
(NAC - Romans p.209).
Confession of Faith
The resurrection is vital and the center of of Christianity.
Confession with the mouth (going public) with what they believed.
There is a lot a stake for people who confess they believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

verse 17
Charles Spurgeon - “Faith cannot be washed into us by immersion, nor sprinkled on us in christening; it is not to be poured into us from a chalice, nor generated in us by a consecrated piece of bread.
there is no magi about it; it comes by hearing the word of God, and by that way only.”
