I. The New Confident Way vs. 19-20

A. We have confidence to enter the holy place, that is the new holy of holies in our heart, because of the blood of Jesus.
B. It’s a new way. We operate in the Spirit, not the flesh. Matt. 9:16-17
Matthew 9:16–17 NASB95
“But no one puts a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and a worse tear results. “Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the wine pours out and the wineskins are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”
C. It’s a living way, because the Holy Spirit breathes life.
D. Just as the veil was torn, Jesus was pierced for our transgressions so we can have a relationship with Him. Isa. 53:5
Isaiah 53:5 NASB95
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.

II. The Full Assurance vs. 21-22

A. The house of God is no longer brick and morter it’s flesh and blood. Jesus is over us. If Jesus ain’t Lord, He ain’t Saviour.
B. We can draw near to God with assurance that He will accept our faith. Matt. 17:20-21
Matthew 17:20–21 NASB95
And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. “But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
C. Why? Because just like with the Old Testament/covenant they were sprinkled in blood, we are sprinkled clean and our baptism is a symbol of being washed. (Sprinkled vs. washed baptism/t-shirt ex)

III. The Solid Hope vs. 23-25

A. Our hope is in Jesus. Jesus will not deny us from the Father if we really repented. Jesus promised and is faithful.
B. We stimulate each other to good works by working together, not to out do each other, but help other.
C. We can’t stimulate someone who isn’t here. You can only grow so much from eating once a week.
D. Encourage each other, because Jesus is coming.
