The Divine points us to life.
V.
1*
1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock/ whence/ ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit/ whence/ ye are digged.
Who is our divine original?
The rock represents strength.
The pit represents the trouble that we have been delivered from.
*II.
The Earthly points us to life.
V.
2*
2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah/ that/ bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
Who is our earthly original?
He is our example of faith.
He is the sign post to the Lord Jesus Christ, the God man.
*III.
Jesus unites the divine and the earthly to point us to life.
V.
3*
3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
[1]
Listen, where will we find ultimate comfort?
Nowhere else can we find comfort but from our origins.
\\ *CONCLUSION:*

         *S.O.:*
Today, if you will have peace of mind, know that you will only find it in Jesus.
