John 19:30 (ESV)
30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Why would Jesus utter these words?
What did he finish.. the roman soldiers did their job.. they could say it is finished.. the religious politicians did there job and convinced everyone Jesus deserved death.. the could say it is finished..pilate or Herod could of said it is finished.. those gambeling for his clothes.. the one who speared his side… the one who whipped him the one who places the crown of thorns on Jesus head.. Mary, his mom could see it in Her sons eyes.. …?? Why would Jesus say it is finished..
John 10:10,11,14,15 (ESV)
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
The word in original language means paid. in full
Jesus finished what we cannot. we work so hard to accomplish. Fix and make our lives better. but Jesus finished. It.. If you have not given your life to Jesus your work is pointless.. Jesus is the only one who can bring you life and forgive your sin..

Lean in and Fully Trust God
Luke 23:46  (ESV)
46 Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last.
Father forgive them.. and I commit my spirit

Jesus gave his life.. he was not murdered. He wasn’t killed.. he gave it..he was in complete control of the situation.
Psalm 31:5  (ESV)
5 Into your hand I commit my spirit;     you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.
Father, Into your hands I commit my spirit. Jesus trust his Father fully in death. He was not afraid
How was He able to do that? Can we
Trust comes from knowing the scripture..

We are called to follow Gods ways, all the way.
So you have to lean in if you’re going to trust and get to know the Father who sent his son for you.
What Jesus did for us..what he finished..
Lean in and Believe

He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the face cloth, which had been on Jesus'[a] head, not lying with the linen cloths but folded up in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; 9 for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
If you where going to announce to the world that you where raised from the dead..
JOhn 20.. Mary magdelene.. weeping..gardener.. she leans in and he says her name.. Mary.. she knows!! I Have Seen the Lord.

Lean in and accept his Forgiven

Lean in and be his witnesses
