Our Vision

Make our vision the mission that you have designated in the great commission which is to make disciples of all nations...
we seek to do our part in the Rio Grande Valley beginning in McAllen...
Grant us the grace of a new place to meet and worship; we pray for a space that we can use during the week even to participate in more discipleship activities.
help each of us to know our gifts so that we may serve you as you have graced each of us
Form the people at this church into a team, into a family, that will participate with you, O Lord, as you build your church!

Our Students and Teachers

We pray for all the students and educators here today.
We pray for our students as big exams come up…there is the pressure to do well…we pray that all our students would learn from their teachers
give our students a focused mind to do what they have to do to practice what they have learned and apply it
Give wisdom and knowledge...
we pray also for educators as they teach. We pray for patience and for stamina. We pray that administrators will remove as much pressure as possible from other things to simply let the teachers teach...
grant us all wisdom and perseverance in our craft

Health Concerns

We also come to you, not as the great teacher, but as the one who goes through suffering with his people...
we are reminded of the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and the exclamation of Nebuchadnezzar when he saw the 4th man in the fire: “there is no other god is able to rescue in this way.”
We do not always understand suffering and Job is a testament to that. You have your own reasons according to infinite wisdom why you allow us to suffer that you do not share with us; nor can we demand answers to.
But we know that you are with us in our suffering…indeed you ask us to fellowship with and to know you through the fellowship of suffering…we do pray for healing for Dan, for Max’s Dad, for Rob, for Victor Martinez and Jose Martinez… we thank you for the advancements that doctors have made with wisdom and knowledge that comes only from you....
Be with each of these, our friends, our brothers in Christ as they endure physical ailments…You promise to never leave us, but we know that life sometimes brings sickness and so we pray that you be merciful toward our frailties.

National and Foreign Missions

Finally, we pray for the world and the spread of the gospel all around the world.
Your kingdom is the only global system and global government that is growing and that will endure beyond all others! We pray that the laborers would go out!
We pray for all the missionaries, not just from the PCA, but from any gospel-believing church that are out doing your work in the world.
We pray for their safety that they might share Christ! We pray for their faithfulness and their own witness to the gospel as they are in places not their home. We pray that the message would be Christ and him crucified to a dying world!
We pray for Scott and Kathy Craig as they serve you in missions work both here and across the border, and in various other places that you call them to. We thank you for their faithfulness and continued service. We pray that you continually bless them as they serve others in their work.
We thank you for their efforts and their presence with us here at the Crossing and praise you for your own work in their hearts and their lives of service.
