The process of refining silver and other precious metals involves putting the metal through intense heat that literally burns and consumes all the impurities in the metal. One silversmith was asked “How do you know when the silver is ready?” He said, “That’s simple, I heat it until I can see my reflection in the metal and when I see my reflection, I know it’s ready.” That’s exactly how God works in our lives. When we become a Christian God cleanses and purifies our hearts. Then he begins to cleanse and purify our lives. When we have been fully cleansed and purified the holiness of God is reflected in our hearts and lives. ----
