5 Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; 6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. (NKJV)

What is it that God wants you to know in order to bring a touch of glory to the daily grind?

I. Know Your Business (6:5).

A. Your occupation is that of a servant.

B. Your obligation is one of obedience.

II. Know Your Bosses (6:5b-7).

A. You have an earthly boss.

B. You have a heavenly boss.

1. Work seriously because Christ is your boss (fear and trembling).

2. Work sincerely because Christ is your boss.

3. Work thoughtfully because Christ is your boss (with goodwill doing service).

III. Know Your Benefits (6:8).

A. The Lord recognizes the good you do on the job.

B. The Lord rewards the good you do on the job.

Conclusion: Quit working for a living and start working for the Lord.
