Tithing was part of the ceremonial/civil law and is not part of the New Covenant. God is seeking our love, and our love for Him should be our motivation in giving, not thinking that the more we give, the more we'll get from Him. We have received the riches of Christ, and our love for Him and each other should be at the center of our lives. In Malachi, the people were more concerned about their own houses and their own things. Is the Lord and His Church the center of our lives and culture?
