ADVICE DAD NEVER GAVE YOU
Ralph Sorter

Through the years I have seen the importance of the father in shaping a family.
This little message is a call to the men to burn in your heart with passion and compassion for the sake of your family.
*The destiny and legacy of a family depends on the bonds between fathers and their children.*
*Destiny*…that’s the downstream course and purpose your children will find as they grow up.
For the children whose father’s character is one of strength and godliness, they can expect a God-blessed destiny.
God visits the blessing of the father to the generations that follow him.
Children carefully watch the steps of their father.
They even imitate them with precision.
Blessed is the child whose father is on fire with passion for the Lord.
I cry for the children whose father has selfishly chosen a path of sin and destruction.
Either out of now knowing any better, or out of hatred for their father, there has been many a child that has abused others for like selfish reasons.
*   Legacy*…that’s what the child takes with them wherever they go because their father hands it down to them.
Because of my parents, I inherited a legacy of a love for the Lord, a love for the great outdoors, fishing, camping, and woodworking.
To the extent the father does well, the expectations upon the children are just as great, for they grew up watching their father.
I cry for the children who have been given a legacy of shame, failure, and rough roads because their father walked in those shoes.
Fathers, want some advice of how to turn it around?
/Then/ */connect at the heart/*/ of your children by *being transparent* with your *passion for God!*/
