We live within a culture that has adopted the idea of the sacrifice of the innocent so that we might have a better life. That is what is required for us to overcome the curse of sin and have a better life.
‌The world offers a counterfeit provided by Satan and his demons
‌God offers the only genuine, original and originally promised, and sufficient innocent sacrifice

Christ took your place … your place, so that you might take His.

He took our place:
Barabbas Luke 23:13-25
Simon a Cyrenian Luke 23:26-31
The thief on the cross Luke 23:32-43
The Centurion Luke 23:44-47
The whole crowd Luke 23:48
Joseph of Arimathea (vv. 50-53), Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James and other women (Luke 24:1-10), Peter (v. 11), two disciples on the road to Emmaus (vv. 13-27), all the disciples (vv. 28-43), Paul on the road to Damascus, the church....
You have to be willing to tell Him you accept it in order to have it.
Christ’s sacrifice is our healing, if you are willing to tell Him you accept it.
Will you decide today?
Christ rose from death to life, so you might have life from death.
Seek life:

Don’t seek life among the dead (Luke 24:1-5)

1 John 1:15-17
John 1:15–17 NASB95
15 John testified about Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’ ” 16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
Don’t seek life in the empty tomb of this world, seek life through the risen Christ.

Remember Christ’s words (Luke 24:6-8)

Luke 9:22 NASB95
22 saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised up on the third day.”
Luke 9:44 NASB95
44 “Let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.”
Luke 18:32 NASB95
32 “For He will be handed over to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and mistreated and spit upon,
John 16:20 NASB95
20 “Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy.
John 16:33 NASB95
33 “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
John 14:1-6 “1 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. 4 “And you know the way where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
Not only did He teach about His death and resurrection, He also taught how we are blessed by it (John 17:20-26).
John 17:20-26 “20 “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 “The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me. 24 “Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 “O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; 26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.””

Share the good news (Luke 24:9-12)

Some won’t believe (v. 11)
Some will see for themselves and believe (v. 12)
Privately and publically marvel at what Christ has done
Paul speaks of what Christ accomplished for you when He rose from the dead in Rom. 4:25
Romans 4:25 NASB95
25 He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification.
Christ rose from death to life, so you might have life from death.
What Christ did will change your life, if you allow it.
The world does not have the answer, don’t seek life among the dead, seek Christ who is living. Remember Christ’s words and the blessing He intends for you. Allow Him to change your life. Once you have, share the good news with others.
John 14:27 NASB95
27 “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
Num. 6:24-26 “24 The Lord bless you, and keep you; 25 The Lord make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; 26 The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.’” May you turn your face to God and feel His light and grace that He offers you through the life of His Son.
