I Want to Be With You Forever

Acts 2:41-42

8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever. 9 I will thank you forever, because of what you have done. I will proclaim your name, for it is good. Psalms 52:8-9

.41 So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added. 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:41-42

My Passion To Be With Jesus Leads Me to:

¨      [UNDERSTANDING] Him Through His Message—(to the apostles’ teaching…)

We declare to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 this life was revealed, and we have seen it and testify to it, and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us. 1 John 1:1-2

¨      [EXPERIENCING] Him Through His Family—(the apostles’ teaching and fellowship)

“3 We declare to you what we have seen and heard so that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 We are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.” 1 John 1:3-4

You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly exhibited as crucified! Galatians 3:1

¨      [COMMUNING] With Him Through His Meal.(They devoted themselves… to breaking bread)

22 While they were eating, he took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.” 23 Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, and all of them drank from it. 24 He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. 25 Truly I tell you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God. Mark 14:22-26

¨      [TALKING] to Him With His People. (They devoted themselves…to the prayers)

When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 5:31
