Three Belief Mistakes I Often Make
9 This is a symbol of the present time, during which gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper, 10 but deal only with food and drink and various baptisms, regulations for the body imposed until the time comes to set things right. Hebrews 9:9-10

When I Focus on the External, I Mistakenly Believe:
1. That What I Have Is [PROBABLY ENOUGH] To Have A Right Relationship With God.
He was rich He was young He was a ruler
He was a [LEADER] He was Humble He was Spiritually [SENSITIVE]
He was Moral He had the Right Religion
21 He replied, “I have kept all these since my youth.” 22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “There is still one thing lacking. Sell all that you own and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.” 23 But when he heard this, he became sad; for he was very rich. Luke 18:21-23

2. That If What I Have Is Not Enough, I Can [DO MORE] To Earn My Way Into Heaven.
6 We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a filthy cloth. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. Isaiah 64:6
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— 9 not the result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life. Ephesians 2:8-10
3. That I Can Trust Jesus With [PART] Of My Life And Still Be [COMPLETELY RIGHT] With God.
9 For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the entire earth, to strengthen those whose heart is fully committed to him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars. 2 Chron 16:9
