 HOW I CAN STOP QUARRELING

12Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly. 13If a man pays back evil for good, evil will never leave his house. 14Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute breaks out. Proverbs 17:12-14

I AM QUARRELSOME BECAUSE:…

1.) My pride is hurt, 2..) I want it made right, 3.) I am furious,

4.) My patience has run out, 5.) I want my way, 6.) I am discontented

I CAN STOP QUARRELING WHEN I

·         [PURIFY MY HEART]

33“Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. 35The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:33-37

·         [PATIENTLY CONTROL MY ANGER]

19My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. 21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. James 1:19-21

·         [PURPOSE TO DO GOOD]

18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 19This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence 20whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 1 John 3:18-20

[PRODUCE MY WORDS FROM LOVE]

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8Love never fails... 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
