Whatever I Do Or Not Do, I Do It To Jesus

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it to me.’ And 45whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ …Matthew 25:40 and 45

8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:8-10

Whatever I do or Not Do to Jesus

·         Determines What [flock He Puts Me in]

31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Matthew 25:31-33

·         Demonstrates What [I Believe About his grace]

If King Jesus Puts Me On His Right, It Is Because I Believe

[i must give grace to his brothers]

35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.Matt 25:35-36

If King Jesus Puts Me On His Left, It is Because I Believe

[his grace is an excuse to do nothing]

42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ Matthew 25:42-43

·         Decides What [Eternal Rewards I receive]

If King Jesus Puts Me On His Right, I Inherit [the Kingdom]

34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. Matt. 25:34

If King Jesus Puts Me On His Left, I Depart [to Hell]

41Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25:41

What are You choosing to do to Jesus?

11For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Titus 2:11-14         (see back for Key)

The Key:

Flock He Puts Me In

I believe about His grace

I must give grace to His brothers

His grace is an excuse to do nothing

Eternal Rewards I Receive

The Kingdom

To Hell
