Play my, let's open in prayer. Only father, we thank you for the Blessed opportunity to be able to come take our time, use it, as we will. In this case to come in to study your word, to find ourselves in mashed, in your teaching, your thoughts, you're thinking that we might be left to ourselves no longer alone. It is your thoughts, your way of thinking. Your Divine perspective that we need, there's an orientation to your grace perspective, your provision, your work, and your power that we need is an understanding that we live is Supernatural. I find virtue of what Jesus Christ has done for us and nothing else. Nothing mystical, nothing control. It is his work, his power and that alone which we see and we follow and we look to your provision in this time we take a few moments, we might confess. Destiny known sin, rather than you left out of fellowship and not led by your spirit. Our desire is to be guided and led by you. So as needed, we will confess those thoughts. Go since we might continue in Fellowship, lead guide and instructed by you. We praise you for your faithfulness. We look forward to seeing your faithfulness Express in your word Christ Jesus name we pray. Amen.

all right, so Easter part 3, Jesus is indeed risen from the dead. He paid the price. Pissed sacrifice was accepted by God. Absolutely, I'm has evidence. He was resurrected on the third day, also is part of God's provision the doctrine, the inside the, we must care of us, Christians, to be able to live the spiritual life. You see, we have been baptized into Christ, and if you get and you understand that, he dealt with Alston, Hallelujah, you can trust in his work and his work alone and experience Eternal salvation by virtue of his saving. You you have your faith. Everyone has faith in something for, what? Have you trusted if you trusted in Jesus, plus you could be trusted in Jesus, Plus, Church. Holy Mass, what you go through on the sacraments have you trusted? And we can go on and on has quite a few things we can add onto, but have you trusted in Christ work alone instead of you and your work. In terms of Salvation and adjustment to send his atoning sacrifice than you are saved and he saves you. But if you stop there, you still miss out on so much with the? Because we have been baptized into Christ. Jesus, we are told and Romans takes us through an entire course explaining the issue of Sid reconciliation with thin based on the atoning sacrifice and then her having been going to cry. Haven't been created a new is a new creature, New Creation. When going forward and moving into that baptism with Christ, joining with him, resurrected to a new high, that we might be able to live Above The Fray be able to live without domination from our old sin nature, have an ability to leave a supernatural Victorious. I'm Alan redpath. Many other creatures out there over the decades, have their books, the Victorious, Life of Christ, for the Christian, the book off the shelf. If you'd really named it and it's a teaching on Ephesian, if he'd really named it. What the book of Ephesians is talking about living the normal Christian Life, maybe the books would have sat on the Shelf because we're just that way we can't see past the veneer that's right there in front of us, but the reality is, it is to be the normal Christian Life Away. Every Christian is to live the access that every Christian has to be able to live the supernatural life and powered by God Victorious, because of his work, not because of your work. And so, therefore through Romans, we have quite a number of times when we are told to recommend recommend recommend, understand this, make that accounting transaction in your Ledger. You see a lot of people can live like they have absolutely no money, no ability. No choice. Going to start, my budget won't allow for it. You like what you by Jayden? Okay, blah, blah blah. And they say how much money they have available for a living and doing this and that you say, okay? And what's your life savings? What do you do? I get a billion dollars in savings, okay why don't you change your budget to live according to what you have instead of this false constraint that you're living with?

Part of the capitalism model B, socialism hates, socialism. You see, is an enemy of people having consequences for their actions. Socialism is the great. I hate you, and I hate anything you can do and I hate anything you can do with anything that you can do, and I will take it from you and give it to someone else. Who wants to do won't work, doesn't have it won't use what they have in a way that is right. Funny how the Apostle Paul deal with this whole issue, socialism weirdness maladjustment to life and living. He says, those who steal. He said should no longer steal, but they should. Wait for it, work. Those who steal should work. We've got a great problem in our society right now scores and companies are closing down left and right and Portland. They're pulling out the Walmarts are out of there. The Nike store is out of there, which comes from right there in Portland. They close down their big store in downtown Portland. We hope all the stores that are just pulling out of Portland down in San Francisco. All the stores are pulling out, hold Earth. I think it is which is the big produce stores that what it is. Whole Foods apart of the Amazon you know, when you go in there and they got all the organic stuff and all the natural stuff and all the free trade stuff and all the you know, help the women in Uganda, who committed these little booties for your kids and you know, you paid $45 in some of that money will go back to them. Make it twenty cents. You know, all these wonderful things that are there and they pull that out of San Francisco. They're not going to stay there where they stealing in the Bible. Always has the right Alternatives, right? Alternate to socialism, he is actually capitalism. Paul makes it plain, he says those who steal must work Amigos on its plane's even further. He's not talking about how to reform the unbeliever, though. It certainly applies, doesn't it capital punishment makes it. So the people do not murder and kill. We have all of these outbreaks of gun violence and stuff. You know, what has always shut down violence of that nature throughout history. And the story capital punishment. Always, always has it is the Bible's solution for outbreaks of outright on a Anarchy and sin, and society. And so goddamn, come outside and work humans, Implement that we actually see a returning to stability, to write Behavior. But Paul had gone. This other thing for the believer because you're no longer to live like your old self but like your new self. Don't steal, but rather he says work and Give to the poor and those who are in need if you're a thief. You didn't get a job and help people in need, it's 180 degrees. The opposite direction that you were heading which is part of what the spiritual life does. People accuse Us in the free Grace move by insane. People say you can get save the Moon live, like the devil.

Then we agree with them. Yes, you can do that but you'd be an idiot if you did. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should everyone here with their Free Will has the ability to drive down to the you know, down to the bridge and jump off into the highway. You can do it to be stupid, if you did. That's why do you choose us who believe in one God? Teaches that salvation is by his work up, some form of evil. Why are we accused of evil? When actually we are advocating good, those Wonder stand Grace, recognize that, the provision of God has made available that the people of God might be able to live the Christian Life in the normal. I mean the Victorious fashion.

Oops, preaching. So we have been going through as part of our Easter study, the upper room discourse and we have been showing through the gospels in parallel. Jesus Christ up through the Seder that is the the Passover dinner. And that whole pass over event and how even though there are 15 or 16 depending on how you count it, a different pieces are sections of that dinner. There's actually only seven or eight eight, the way work out because there is the preparation in the day of preparation, which is necessary and needed. So we've included that as one of the eight points along the way. And so, last week, we were dealing with the car parts.

And this is the point where we had the eating of the bitter herbs. And so this week we are picking up with the Yachats. Lydia hot Guttural action doing there. It's a y, a

Why is a c h? A

Kizi. Yes. It would be a good transliteration of the Hebrew. You ready for the night?

Murray the most there.

But yeah.

My left hand was supposed to be doing that and not paying attention to what my right hand was doing. But It was apparently fascinated instead by my right hand. So when is the next ceremonial Point? That's mentioned in the Seder and this is the breaking of the middle of the three layers of matzah. So we have matzah, that is prepared that is on the table. And so let's talk about it. So this is about the matzo bread. So matzo bread is unleavened bread and old juice. Have matzo bread every single Sabbath. You have the matzo bread because the Sabbath it has to be an unleavened occasion it. So they have preparation beforehand and before any of the holy days they have to have a holy day and they Sweep All The Lemon out of the house and prepare for especially on the holy. Holy days. They have to be prepared for that. But this is a specific matzo bread. This is the Passover matzah bread. Let's look at a couple of references. We have to it first in Matthew 26. Verse 26, what we read. And as they were eating, Jesus Took bread blessed and broke it and gave it to the disciples and said take eat. This is my body. She paid attention to that, that little phrase. This is my body. What's he talking about regular, matzo know the Passover matzah or bread that is specifically about the body of Christ? He makes that clear. We all are parallel passage and Mark Mark 14:22 and as they were eating, Jesus Took bread blessed and broke it and gave it to them and said, take eat. This is my body. So, marks documenting very similar, almost the same thing. You look over at the parallel passages and Luke. Matthew Mark, Luke 22 verse 19 and he took bread gave thanks and broke it and gave it to them saying, this is my body, which is given for you do this in remembrance of me, little bit more will be. More information is giving out here a little bit more of what is said, is recorded here. Going, by the way, just because each of the gospels record the exact same, saying the exact same moment with different words. That doesn't mean there's a contradiction. That means they're placing an emphasis on a different portion of what was said. They have a different point, so they are recording that which is relevant to what is happening in the narrative that they are unveiling or unraveling for us as time goes along. so now, in the Seder, Seminary,

The Mercedes ceremony, the middle loaf of matzo bread is removed from the middle compartment. Of the cloth bag that is called Monster trash. If you have any Jewish friends, you probably heard this before, when they're talking about the Seder, they have the mud to talk which basically can be anything from just a piece of cloth to the folded into squares or folded into rectangle and folded down to the squares, giving you three separate compartments or it could be something is actually soon together with three separate compartments. And in each of these compartments, a loaf of matzo bread is place. So there are three loads of mods. And each one is placed into a compartment once removed. The most from the second or the middle compartment is broken in half. In the larger portion is Sydney for the end of the feast. So it's broken in shouldn't say half because it's broken and whatever is larger is getting away. And then the smaller portion is Left Behind

When does the hockey combing its ceremony which reminds of the Paschal Lamb in. The smaller portion is placed back into the middle compartment. So part of the ceremony is going to be enacted with the small piece. And the larger piece is going to be at sconce. The way kind of has a desert item for the very end of the Feast of the Seder. The theme of the Passover dinner is to remind What your way did the bringing the Israelites out of Egypt? The entire Passover is about this is not a reminder of what y'all way. No remembrance is to enable thinking, we don't remember so that we might have a great feeling, we don't remember so that we might have remembrance, we don't remember for remembrance sake. We always remember so that we might be able to think this is teaching throughout scripture. The purpose of knowing is that you might be able to think the purpose of remembering is that you might be able to think the purpose of recounting and recanting items and specific ideas that you might learn. You brought them nothing. You go into a wrote non thinking, mud that is never ever and scripture. The purpose, other than this one way.

David says speaking about Psalm 23, which we heard last week, He says, I will need you in Paths of righteousness and that word para. This is their means, what? It is such a frequent attack but the past has become happier than it was and being freaked. Wanted more Packie, like it becomes even more Kathy, that doesn't mean pathetic. It means that the rent is deeper and deeper. And that is a continue thinking where you wear a course of constance, a course of frequency, of course of invariance, because you keep thinking, Thinking. Thinking. Rebound, confess your sins. Everyone thinks 1st John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful. And just to forgive us and cleanse us of all righteousness. We should be thinking through what that means every time but that's just words of lost the point. Not words, words are contents, buckets of meaning and that needle gives you the ability to think and scripture is about the empowerment of the individual to think. That's why we have our studies of what gnosis is knowledge which has turned my God, the Holy Spirit into Epi gnosis in the sole deeper rut based thinking because you have a deeper comprehension because not only a God the Holy Spirit taught you the meaning in the understanding a deeper inside and how the live the spiritual life. But he has been there with you step-by-step as you've gone through that. Brought in the valley of darkness. It's deep in his dark is it? Maybe he has been there with you giving you Supernatural ability to stick with it.

Guide you in your thinking so you're thinking. Is a constant. It is what. God always Point says, to there is no need for a mystical Christian Society or mystical Christianity. We have many great and wonderful church is even in our Valley around here, with a focus on the word of God to a degree, but they have a great focus on mysticism in the songs that they seen you in preparation for their studies are. I love you guys. I love you. I love you so much and so many people with the words that are in those songs and some of them are just really, really atrociously bad. Meaning almost nothing, do not. Prepare you to think your way through And therefore, it is not worship because worship always involves doctrinal content and thinking, there's no such thing as feeling worship, there's no such thing as the I feel good songs. It's the I think rightly songs. Therefore God is glorified, he changes me. He is glorified G, recognizing his work. What he is doing? He is changing and transforming me. That's what Romans chapter 12 is saying. He says that we will be conformed feelings no by Truth by truth. Now that doesn't mean that we don't have feelings that accompany those things. That's great. Feeling awesome. The feelings are neither right nor wrong and they are not the litmus test of Truth. Neither is experienced. No experience should ever guide you or lead you. And thinking what you want to believe is true

We have the ability to walk through this life. I just talked to my mom about this last night and we can be printed as we go. Oh Lord, please help me in this situation. It is Monday. It is we get bored. I need a parking space, will be closer to the grocery store. We going to the bank, and we bump into a Believer, we haven't seen in years of the person behind the counter is like Jesus. Tell you about it. God has an amazing way of ministering in our lives, in a very personal way, but we do not look too bad experience as the validator of crude. It was just part of his normal provision. I think in part for our weakness because we just have a hard time hanging on the true. Sometimes we break down, we fall apart. You know, every teacher knows about it. Kids were oriented towards learning and understanding growing and you know taking this bit of Truth and connect him to this and like they connect you go to the kids are like putting toilet paper up their nose and you know, eating but they don't care. They don't get it in. They don't So I'm sorry, that's West, we're like that. So pick your analogy. He took bread, guess, thanks. Broke it saying, this is my body, which is given for you do this in remembrance.

Bruise with the picture.

We are in the midst of practicing, right at this moment, he is saying. So we've been told her The ceremony will we go through? Temperance. According to cry, we are to repeat the ceremony, which we will do it here in 2 weeks with communion. We are to do this in remembrance thinking about understanding the doctrine is not a stick. Stick the bread on your tongue in front. You don't crunch too loud because people around, you might hear. Take the Jews. Put in your mouth. Don't want you to watch out for drops drops and get. Yes. But can you go to white shirt on?

Amazing. The things we can think we are to be focused and thinking about the work of God in the work of Jesus Christ and what this represents. We are remembering the doctrine, the point, the reality of what is happening to their. So, what we had with Christ is he sitting there with his a possible, his Apostle is Impossibles, Remember to remember how Yahweh was invoking. His Covenant relationship with Israel to deliver them? As he told Abraham he would and he said the man's specifically you will be in captivity for 430 years and then I will birth you forth as a nation like has never been done anywhere else on the face of the planet never before historically, as a nation birth, from outside of another Nation never before known ever since, Julie, uniquely with the Jews with Israel. So we are to remember your shoe at when we come to communion. The one who is the theme of Passat, one who would provide spiritual Redemption, the final Pascal. And he is it, he who delivers all mankind from an alien land, like, Real was delivered from an alien land. We too, are aliens as unbelievers in a lab. Design for us, in Christ. Deliverance, pull us out from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of life, which is what we are created for, but we must be born again. We must be regenerate to be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. Kayla, Martin mention Jesus mention this to us. He says, I'm going to 2219.

Or Luke told us, he took bread gave, thanks broke it and gave it to them. He distributed the bread to all of the apostles were sitting at the table with him saying this is my body.

Instruction think think about what's happening, the Pascal sacrifice the Seder. Commemoration of the Passover. What happened then? Think about it? This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me and Paul repeat these instructions for us and 1st Corinthians. 11 verses 23 and 24. Do I receive from the Lord that? Which I also delivered to you. So not only did Jesus personally, give this message and information to the apostles at the final supper, but apparently to the Apostle Paul directly as he was taught Face to Face by the Lord Jesus. And way the really is not made available to us, but he was taught specifically on the doctrine of the church age of this. He was taught from the Lord says that which I also delivered to you. I received from the Lord, that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which he was betrayed to thread for 24. When did given thanks, you broke it and said, take eat. This is my body which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance.

Of me.

There's no contradiction. God's purpose is clear. Give him to the apostles. At the Last Supper is communicated to the Apostle. Paul, we have it both recorded by Luke, The Physician who writes the Gospel of Luke, and the book of Acts who ever recorded by the Apostle, Paul as well. There are multiple Witnesses.

Nobody Jewish law. The Passover bread must meet three requirements. There are three requirements for this Passover. Matzah bread. 1 2 3. Look at him. No, Passover bread must be unleavened.

It must be striped. We must be. So the one held up against the candle or a lamp in the background, the light can be seen through the holes, the holes are poked into the bread and Rose. So when it is Big, that comes out striped because of these holes The rabbinic reason as they've interpreted this and giving us their interpretation of what being told what's been taught to us in Exodus and Beyond.

Is it raining?

The striping and piercing.

Was to impede leavening, some other words, if you have all these holes in her in the bread, then you can't have any unnatural Levin because it could be floating in the air, the gets in and causes the bread to puff up. So they are saying these informed rabbis with the purpose of the hole just to keep it from being 11 or puffy. You are taking on a little bit of rising or grow but Jesus identified his body. Dog with every matzo bread that's made out there or any matzo bread made out there but specifically with the Passover matzah, his identification is not with matzo bread. But with Passover matzah, the bread presented in the Passover, in the bread, represents the body of Christ as seen through the Passover ritual. So he speaks of the representative atonement. The atonement work. I must replace the work that is needed by any believer, any human and being able to be right. Or come to terms with the relationship with God? There is no transition from Fallen humanity and sinfulness to relationship with God. Apart from in a Tony work, that pays the price but we can't atone for our sins. We don't have the ability to pay that price, only one and all of creation had that ability that one was the god-man. The Lord Jesus Christ was purpose and roll was coming to Earth that he might pay that price and be perfect in every aspect to be an acceptable substitute there for to take the sin of the world of the whole earth upon himself.

Yes. Yeah, I mean propitiate propitiation is happening because we're talking about propitiation is satisfaction of God. The atonement is the actual payment. Okay, so the payment is made and God is propitiate. You're satisfied with that, as of two sides of the same thing, when is the work that is done on behalf of me and the other is God's attitude towards that. We are propitiating with God because he accepts the atoning work of Christ.

His body is giving in place of each human Sinner and I know it's our Luke passage from this perspective. Regret it, but let's clue in on a point here and he took bread gave thanks, broken, and gave it to them saying, this is my body, which is given for you do this in remembrance of me. So he's making that specific connection to his body. That which needs to be remembered. It is not the months of bread so we don't have to freak out on whether or not we're using oyster crackers. We're going down and getting unleavened bread from the bakery. What is actually completely unleavened in the rabbis have passed there? Honor upon and therefore, we can take those little bits of bread and pass them out and we can do that. But you know it's convenient and what we're doing. It is for purposes of not legalism but of remembrance what we do is perfectly fine. My body which is given for you to do this in remembrance of me. Matthew goes on says the same thing in Matthew 26 verse 26. And as they were eating, Jesus Took bread blessed and broken and gave it to the disciples and said take. This is my buddy.

He's not saying the bread is, his body is not doing the Catholic thing. This is not the doctrine of transubstantiation.

France to pediatrician is not that Doctrine. Remind say this Brad becomes the literal Body of Christ. When you put in your mouth, it is the

When people scream Cannibal and they say I will not have anything to do with the Catholic church. That's fine. But that's not what it's talking about. It's not what Christ was talking about. What are you saying? Is this, is that which is a symbol of a work that I have done and it speaks of my body, the bread about the body of Christ, the representation of his perfect life here on Earth,

So Martha than we see is a symbol, the symbol. This is my body is a reference to the Jewish Passover bread, not any other bread as mention. The Passover bread is a fitting symbol for the three reasons, we eluded two previously. So let's look at those individually first. The Passover matzah bread is unleavened loving is a symbol of sin. You sure Jesus was the only Jew ever to keep the Mosaic law perfectly. His body was perfect and seamless as was his entire life and a single Syrian would have disqualified him as the sacrifice. Jesus lived, his life perfectly, he survived to me, what would have been the greatest induction in the sand? Having siblings. Then he made it through that, just fine. Having parents who misunderstood him, because he was perfect in every way. Jesus, did you hear that? No Jesus. Did you do that? Are you lying to me?

Second. Matzo bread must be striped. Joshua. Jesus body was striped by the way, of the Roman whip, during the time of his scourging in the next few hours. And when we say strike that is a, almost a misnomer is a complete understatement. The Scourge the cats are nine Tales you've heard of used on boats across the Empire's for Spain and France and you know when someone gets out of hand the captain would admonish is Justice with a cat-o'-nine-tails and they would take that which is a whip with a basically 9

9 spread pieces leather on, which were attached pieces of metal and copper and glass stone. Whatever may be giving it both ways and The Cutting Edge and they would take it and they would Flay, the back of that individual. And that is the admonishment that has happened up until just a couple hundred years ago, or even a road military, use it until 1900. McAllen Ninetales his way of administering, a punishment. And one wake up. Those people who were near the wells in the Army and the military, decided to go their own way to violate their enlistment or not follow orders, whatever it was a reason, not to ever disobey orders because you got a Ninetales, the Roman Empire with the same thing. And actually, it was a sentence on to death with the Jews. Did not allow for a person to be

To be sentenced to death in that way. I'm so the, the general thinking was that 40 Stripes was enough to kill a man, therefore, you had to stop at 39, but these people with these whips were Precision Engineers who knew how to inflict the most pain possible in Jesus Christ, took the most Stripes webs possible. Is he stood there with a similar type of setup to what I described with the cat-o'-nine-tails and they played his body and the text of the Hebrew, as it talks to us in Isaiah 53. Lets us know that he no longer had the appearance of a human. You couldn't tell that he was a human man after this discipline. So he was striped. He was striped by the Roman whip during his scourging in the next few hours. Just following this here, he is presenting the bread. Knowing what it means that he must be mutilate. Did Bob Ali, he gets this, you understand that he knows the prophecy, and he's passing this out to his apostles who will see in the B aren't quite completely connected to the situation. So the irony was open to be seen by any, who clearly heard and understood his words. But his disciples did not yet. And then third, we see that the bread was to be pierced the body of your shoe. And Jesus was pierced twice by the new rules, by which he was hung and crucifixion and by the spear thrust into his side. So we had nails that went through him and pierced him and he had a spear thrust, the one into him. After he had yielded, his Spirit was dead and out of which flowed from that thrust, the clear visible proof that he was dead that he had suffered myocarditis that his heart had stopped. And therefore, there was a separation into serum and blood clots of the biological process of his body broken.

By the way. Do you know who was present at this time? Accepting the bread. The must be unloved and Sprite and pierced. Someone who did not get this teaching at the time as it was handed out. But boy, did it seem to have been mailed home later on and I'm not using that as a double entendre though. I guess it could be when I'm speaking of Thomas who I like to call the pragmatist but I think him not as

Thomas the doubter, but I think of them is a pragmatist. I spend to see a little bit more going on, than where most people. That's the Lord is here, comforting the apostles and giving them Doctrine for the storm that they are just about to embark on with him. We read this very interesting, a right there in the upper room just moments before they step outside of the upper room and cross over to the Garden of the gesemity. So let's look at this and John Chapter 4 verses 1 through 7 He reads that he sells this to us, go on record as it let not your heart be troubled. What wonderful words to speak to people who are about to go through the storm of storms of storms on planet Earth, none greater than all of history than that, which surrounds the crucifixion of the person of the Lord. Jesus Christ, let not your heart, be troubled youth. Even God believe also that you placed your faith fully and God and he was recognizing this about them place. Your faith in me and getting me but they don't quite have all the dots connected yet. Even though he has told them explicitly, he was already said go and prepare the supper because two days, hence I will be crucified and I will die. They weren't getting it. The gravitas was not there wasn't in the room. He says, But have faith, get this because the first two in my father's house are many mansions and if it were not so I would have told you and I go to prepare a place for you. I'm going to be taken from you, but I will be in a place of preparation and provision of the faithfulness of God. And I am part of that 43. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again. And receive you to myself that where I am, there you may be also

What is he talking about? What he's talking about that chapter but is going to occur, when all the church age, Believers will be with Christ up until the end of the tribulation, when they return with Christ to restore. God's order to this price rejecting God, rejecting world-first for and where I go, you know in the way you know he says you understand. I am going to be a guard side and you will be with me. They understand, they are believers. They know that there is a place for those who rejected God, there's a place for those they call it Abraham. But for those who have chosen who have received the promises of Abraham therefore have received the promises of God and he's saying I'm going to take you even further. I'm going to take you to the house prepared. You've given us betrothal language. Here, you see in this era, in this age, when two people were engaged, then it was the older gentleman, the husband's obligation to go and prepare the place, prepare the house, get it ready and then he would bring the bride to that place. We have a little bit of language this year. He's saying, there is a relationship that significant you need to understand it. First by Amanda Thomas

Thomas said to him, Lord, we don't know where you're going. And how can we know the way he's thinking honor plans, here plans. Now, you see many of these Apostles at this point or focused on one thing that Christ has come to deliver the kingdom You said it over and over and then and Matthew 12 + 30.

Show me now to this generation. This generation is lost that opportunity. Picking them is coming later. Later comes the kingdom but they have a little bit of selective memory little bit of selective thinking, little bit of what we call cognitive. Dissonance they aren't connecting. The two obvious things together. Then he saying we don't know how to get to your kingdom. What is the road to get to the father's house?

Anniversary. Jesus said to him, I am the way. I'm not speaking allegorically speaking literally hear Thomas, I'm speaking allegorically regardless of being pregnant. Is he wanted to know how to get to the house. But Jesus wasn't talking about a literal how to get to the house. He's talking about what is happening spiritually and what is represented? He says I am the way the truth and the life you know the way because you know me no one comes to the father except through me if you've accepted me as soon as you receive me as the Messiah is a redeemer of Israel. Then you are saved for 7. If you had known me, you would have known my father. Also, I'm from now on, you know, him and have seen him. Does anyone? Who knows? The father knows me if you have a relationship with God, if you placed your faith in Salvation provided because of the atoning work, which I am, then you have placed your faith in me.

He says that from now on you have known him and seeing him. Why? Because you have known me and you have seen me. You have a deeper insight into the character of God because you personally know me promise He says no one to bring this up, remember this pragmatist event? John 11 verses 1 through 16. No, certain man was sick Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrance oil and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was? So was sick. First three there for the sister sent to him saying, Lord, behold he love a special relationship between God her between Jesus, Yeshua, Jesus. And the three individuals, Martha. Mary, and Lazareth verse for, when Jesus said that, he said to his disciples, this sickness is Important little phrase, not unto death. But for the glory of God. The Son of God may be glorified through it. What is he talking about? He's talking about the resurrection of Lazarus because it was correction of Lazareth is a picture of the resurrection of Jonah. And it's speaking of that same Resurrection, which he had told all of his real, you will get one song evil generation, who's rejected the signs, and the Wonders that have proven that I am the Messiah. There is one more coming, but this is good and it is a sign of Jonah. But there was a warming up session, a preparatory session by Lazareth. But for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it. So as Lazarus Michonne raised from the dead, then people will know and realize everything Christ has said is true and he will be shortly thereafter raised from the dead. Now first five, Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus and when he heard that he was 6, verse 6, he stayed two more days in the place where he was What? We will I hear that. My mom is sick or my brother is sick or dad is dying. I was up in Portland when dad called and says, I don't think I have any time left and I was supposed to be there for another half a week or so because I was up there helping Linda, who just came out of surgery from her brain tumor. And I got on the phone with my dad, just called and she's as go see your dad, she was able to speak at that point and I called my brother who is in Portland and we hightailed it down the highway. So we could be here that's that. I think, typically how it connected normal person responds, when someone they know and someone they love is dying. That's not what it says. He stayed two more days in the place, where he was, why? Because he just told us this is about glorifying. God, proving that God has a way. Matt was to be resurrected, but to be resurrected, he has to die. So he's waiting for the dying. So there might be a time but 3 days, 3 days ring a bell for any 13 days of death, and then he would be Resurrected Picture. First element. After this, he said the disciples. Let us go to Judea again, which is where they are. That's where they're thinking. Okay, well, he's dead. So I guess that's over with him. Suddenly Jesus says, we're going Disciple said to him by the juice. Just telling you we were just there. They tried to Stone you. That's where they tried to Stone you. The stoning happened in Judea the stone in it are there if we go there, there will be more stoning at Sam's. Are you going there again? They're trying to help him think it through. And Jesus. And verse 9 answers are there, not twelve hours. In the day, if anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble because he sees the light of the world, for stand-up one walks the night you stumbled because the light is not in him. But even these things he said and after that, he said to them our friend, Lazarus sleeps. But I go that I may wake him up and there's a clear way for I've already explained it, he must be resurrected because that will be a picture of my resurrection, but first 20 minutes of siple said, Lord, if he sleeps you will get well.

Who they are and what we have to do with it. I mean, them to Daisy here, he's going to sleep. She's going to get better. So you don't need to be there. It's like they're flip-flopping. Don't go there. If you do give me a reason to go there for the throne, everything down that they can a 14 in Jesus said to them, plainly Lazarus is dead. Not sleeping. Go to sleep. He's not sleeping so they can be awakened. I'm giving you Insight. Here he is dead.

You're the corpse, he's not in that body anymore. Verse 15, and I'm glad for your sake, that I was not there. That you may believe my impossible, apostles were sixteen, then Thomas was called the twin. This was what I wanted to get to. That is Phil disciples. Let us all know that we may die with him. She's there he is. He's a pragmatist. We are bonded to this. Jesus, we will go where he goes. If you wants to go and die, let's go and die with him. He wasn't dad and he's going to be raised as well know. He was just in a pragmatist. He was saying, okay, well, let's just go all get it over with, we're all going to die. If he wants to lead us down there to death then I guess that's what work. Doing.

Yeah, I mean it in a sense I mean, pragmatism. It's really a practicality. No, it's a practicality. It's it's something I speak of my my

Scottish and supposed Jewish roots. Who's better, you know, there is the just pay the bill, the way it is. And then there's the pragmatist side that says, there's no way in hell. I'm going to pay that bill that way and I'm in a fight and argue with you until you reduce and give me the discounts and blah blah blah blah. You know this loaf of bread fell on the floor, it's damaged. I want to buy it for half price. I'm going to give it to me that way. Or is it say The Way Way of addressing life kind of had on? So I would I would say yeah. But at a particular, Sister that particular human Viewpoint. Yeah. Yeah. So now we're going to come back and we'll pick up with more on, Thomas the doubter and then continue back in a circle into back into our Passover, in the matzo and what that all means there's a couple things we need to get to from here to there to tie the loops together. I indicated before. When we started this study, this time this year, the like peeling, the onion ring to go a layer or two deeper than we have in the previous couple of sessions previous couple of years. And so my brought the same stuff up before we haven't touched done nearly as much of this detail as we are this time. So and there's plenty more onion to peel from here. So, I hope it's all appealing to you, his will have to take a break in the five minutes past. So it'll be Let's go to 12:10 when we come back together. Only father, we just thank you for this time. Pray that our hearts and our aptitude for spiritual life and living would be driven by having tasted of you. And if your word, if you work, which tastes so good. You see you the way we deserve to go is a way of Darkness, the way of self, way of self adulation and self provision and somehow, trying to provide and gained a merit board. But we desire, we have learned that which comes by breaks which is only from the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. We see that. Or make that our character or heart or thinking that you might share evangelize Minister. Thank you for this break that we can recharge with sugar and caffeine in fresh air in bathroom break. Circulating blood and we look forward to what you do as a return request me.

We exalt in your holy name and we desire that you do this work. And this time in our hearts. So we take a moment for confession of any known sin. when we pop into The Fray in Christ, in your throat,

You mean?

Great preacher. Donald barnhouse.

58 plus years ago, one of the great leaders at the evangelico ilysm may have a bit of a bad name now, because the Liberals hate that term evangelist who may have used it just like the big bad Maggie or something like that. It means horrible, horrible things to anyone who is a liberal evengelical. Were the worst of the worst. You believe the Bible is true stupid, stupid stupid Christians. Donald barnhouse, the amazing. Intensely brilliant individual staller. I listen to him preach, and I listen to his studies. And I'll read his writings and just like, how did he do that without computers? He had all of this knowledge, this breadth of learning that was there, and he brought it together and he made cogent, statements and amazing. Things were said behind his Pulpit administered to the people of God, but he explained how that worked the study time, of course, was a fervent prayer full-time of delight and enjoyed, I can relate to that. I love my study time. I love unraveling the word of God and digging down. And I think, like I said before, how am I going to feed that elephant to this room? I don't know how they, okay?

But the doctor barnhouse said that Hood from the person before him who filled the pulpit and himself. If we took up the same practice as well, see, they had a Floyd and then kind of back entrance in the back end of a pastoral, you know study and room. And then he could step from that up until the 4 a.m. walk out to the pulpit. And I'll be there in every single time before the service. He says he would come to that door in the Pulpit. He says if he would just lean softly lightly against the doorframe, he was a lord. Only your words need to be spoken here. Not my fault. Not my power, not my work but your work be done here. And so Not only was he confessing sin, but he was using his ministry to the Lord to be god. Jehovah being the one that does the work. And his wife later on in life noted that on that door, frame of that door, it was an indentation. Because every time he came, he leaves and placed his head against it and everything, but the door came down and it was indented right there as his friend. Just rested lightly against that every time. That's my prayer in my wish. And so, as we're dealing with confession of sin, I'm also thinking Lord, this must be from you, your work, your thoughts. Must be said, must be explained. Here will come back and it will have its Ministry. It's worth. We must be teaching that, which is right. We stick to the word of God. The Lord extra The extra need for me, is for you to do the speaking to minister to each individual spark. And I cannot do must be your worker, God. So that's my prayer. It up, where we left off, we're dealing with Thomas the doubter.

Because he cannot be convinced of the resurrection of Yeshua Jesus.

His personal encounter with Christ on this point is in fact, an Easter vignette that we have heard. And it touches many, many people has touched many over the years, I must pull up this contact.

I was almost there. John 20:19. John chapter 20, Guardian. Verse 19 mean in, we read our context here, then the same day at evening. Beginning, the first day of the week, when the doors were shot, where the disciples were symbol for fear of the Jews Jesus came and stood in the bed. So this is the first day. Jesus came to them in their midst and said, peace, be with you. It's a standard Jewish greeting. Shalom.

When it said this, he showed them his hands and his side and disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. But Jesus said that in, peace to you, as the father has sent me. I also send you. I am the Emissary of God and you will be my Emissary to mankind. Grand verse 22. When you had said that she breathed on them and said to them receive the Holy Spirit. How many people ask that question? Someone is it that they receive the Holy Spirit? I happen to be a believer that when Jesus says something that he actually is not a liar and that he means it. So I tend to think but that is what is happening here. He says receive the Holy Spirit, the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Must start at the time at which the ministry of Christ bodily and physically on this Earth has come to an end. And so he passed over to that next phase and he says,

I'm continuing verse 23. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you retain the sins of any they are retained now. Verse 24 Thomas called the twin Are Thomas. See it. Highlighted, one of the 12 was not with them. When Jesus came. He didn't happen to be there. Jesus showed up. Thomas wasn't there. First 25, the other disciples there for so big. And we have seen the Lord, and again, see it. Pulled it up on the screen. So he said to them, unless I see in his hands, the print of the nails, And put my finger into the print of the nails and put my hand into his side. I will not believe to see he's a pragmatist. He wants to know that. He knows that.

it's interesting because we all believe something. Question is, are we believing the right thing? We believe many things that are not true. We have any points of education, human and science and medicine. We think we know what we know and you will be fine later on, but we thought we know, was not even close to the actual reality. Interesting, the study of the cell back in the 1960s, amazing information, we had remained formation, we had about the cellular membrane, the passing of substances across the cellular membrane the center of the cell, the different organelles and stuff to wear in different cells. And here, 70 years later, we have found that we knew nothing. Who sell now is seen as something on the scale of the city. With dicks. But turn based on the slightest change, in RNA expression can changed the functionality of how something works. And this little enzyme can be made of this enzyme is made for based on the chemicals on the outside of the chemicals. On the inside of the pressure here. For the pressure there or changes in the RNA expression was just means what your genetic says and the epigenetic reality. So if you have this going on but you have this genetic expression, what will it do here versus? If you have another expression, what will it do? Or if you have a different situation? What would do all these different factors? Create a complexity that is Almost unfathomable. You know, we gave the year the Nobel award for the

Expression of DNA in the great double helix, that is as it whines down and what a majestic, wonderful Insight that way. So we have learned so much more sense than that, we've learned all these expressions of the DNA and the different ways that it can mean certain things, but now we're fine. But not only of that DNA there. But as it expresses itself, in a three-dimensional route, it's not about the ABC. BFG expression, going down the line. There's actually a three-dimensional interaction that's going on. You probably seen people who play this, three-dimensional chess mean, they don't just have one layer of chest. They actually have ate way or is going up or for those simpletons. They have three layers, you know, that's kind of one that showed on Star Trek, that look really city is continue on and get more more complex. Well, the three-dimensional expression that we see in DNA is just mind-blowing and now, we're starting to find out about the actually sub-nuclear impact of proton Is an electrons moving through our DNA or RNA and the cellular biomolecular mechanism, which changes everything we used to think we understood how energy was produced the simple ATP in muscle that basic little generation of energy. And only certain molecules were supposed to be able to go through there when we see the glucose being cycled through auction and being pulled out and then do it sound.

Competitors were saying that they not only carbo-load, but they keto load and so they get a hold of stuff going on at once. And you can become just by taking in a version of ketones. Which by the way, I take on occasion because of my traumatic brain injury, it helps me be a little bit smarter, so I can just kind of keep from falling off the ledge so I can remember a few things as I'm going. And it actually makes performers athletes, 15% more competitive without anything different other than Downing, some ketones have to be You know, world-class athletes to be able to have that type of benefit in their musculature from that. So but we're finding things that are different and then we find that the type of water do you drink and actually called up that a teepee? Because there a certain size is a molecule that aren't supposed to be able to go through there. They're too big or too fat. So then a killing the ATP, it kills the mitochondria, in your brain, in your muscles, in your heart and if you don't have a good regeneration of those cells to reproduce them, then things start to clog up and back up. Just saying it is getting complex, more and more complex in the more. We think we understand the more we realize how little we understood and it just keeps rolling on and it will forever in that direction. If the Lord Terry, we're going to look into your day going. What? Blithering idiots. They were in every way.

We Believe something the were often wrong or Thomas, here is not an idiot, because he did not believe what everyone else believes they saw the Lord. He just wasn't there. They saw, they believed He didn't see, you didn't believe. Is he any different from them? Is he there were told by by the ladies from the garden. We came running back to the Lord. The Lord. The Lord receive the Lord and idiots. Dumb women, what are you thinking? Turn on the Lord appears. They're like the lord. They're no different than Thomas. Thomas is no different from then someone throw that out there. Where's 25?

So was he thinking by the way of Isaiah 53 verse 5? Because it's talking about, he says these piercings, he says

Isaiah 53. Verse 5 talks about the piercing. Was he considering the Passover bread from that. Supper, they just had I think these are likely possibilities son will be made over the idea of piercing versus wounding and Treaty of heard the debates. If you've been around a little bit was he actually pierced for our sins or was he wounded for our sins? And of course, she got the blab and grab at name, it and claim it charismatic out there until evangelist ordained Pastor doubt. They're going to make it happen because you are a little God, Little Deer sinew and all this bizarre Richie which they have sucked up from primarily the Assembly of God, preacher add eggs and there's a big Study Bible. If you walk into an Assembly of God or a charismatic church anywhere, you'll find 2/3 of the people turn into mistake Study Bible which is a horrific radical twisting of scriptures of the people believe the most vile and evil of things.

I may try to turn it into a name, it and claim adverse. He was he he was tortured.

Listening. It'll probably take it. I don't think the debates over piercing getting back to actually the The conservative students of the Bible who really care whether it means piercing or wound and they want to make sure there isn't a differentiation, they need to be aware of, I don't think it really makes much of effect on the real purpose of Isaiah 53, which is speaking of the substitutionary atonement. That's pictured in. The person who work more Jesus Christ. Isaiah 53. Verse 5. First I have it in the nid if you see my screen on the lower left, Is that all right for you. Yeah, you're right. You can see what translation. Here's the NIV, but he was pierced. That pierced word. He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us, peace was upon him. And by his wounds, we are healed. What the hell did? I mean, in American Standard Bible, this is the nasb 95 version, which is a little bit more. Scholarly hasn't been divided by the committee's. Quite as much, he was pierced through for our transgressions, for these fees, the same nomenclature. He was crushed for our iniquities, the chastening for our well-being well-being fell upon him. And by his scourging we are healed by the way that doesn't mean that because he was scourged that you are guaranteed a physical healing again because you can blow out. It doesn't mean that God gave it to you to be grabbed. Isaiah 53, verse 5 in the new King James version but he was wounded different translation or expression. Here for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed to get the idea. Can I goes one way or the other or a piercing I want to look at Isaiah 53.

We studied the passage in a previous Easter study, and I just want to read it through here. I can't leave it out. I want to put it into the testimony, that we are portraying now, what we are discussing, if you will, and activate the memory centers of our souls, what's their immediate, it is in your short-term memory so you can process. It is applicable both to the Passover matzah, which we are studying on this kind of thought I'd study of what Thomas is going through and reconciling the prophetic Messiah. Yeshua, Jesus, come higher, share. Jesus actually be matching what's going on and Isaiah 53. Can he be the one who is Pierce, like the matzo bread says must happen.

I think it's fair to give him actually a little bit of extension of credulity, but he's not a blithering idiot who can't figure it out or he showed up for everyone else. Maybe he's actually thinking through biblical things because he is a pragmatist and you can be a pragmatist in a spiritually. Valid way. Let's read this. Isaiah 53. Who has believed our report and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed. For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant. He speaking of the Messiah. And as of ripped out of dry ground, he has no form nor comeliness and when we see him, there is no Beauty either, we should desire him. Meaning he is not a person who has been gifted with the Hollywood glamour. He doesn't walk around, you know, if you watch the Shrek episode, they show one of the guys is like the bad Prince but he's walking along you know any smiles and there's a glare from his teeth and he shakes his head and one wifey, I'm here goes being being in all the girls I said Jesus was not like that at all in any way. Verse 3, he rather is despised and rejected by men mankind, would reject Him. He Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief, and we hid as it were our faces from him. We turn from him, not to be associated with him. We didn't want anything to do with this Jesus guy. He was despised and we did not esteem him. Who is speaking? Here this is Israel. Israel would not esteem their lord. Their Messiah who grew up in their midst of such a nonentity that they could not recognize their savior, their King, their Messiah, the Son of David right there, and their middle. Words for surely. He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet. We esteemed him stricken hears that word. Smitten by God and afflicted. Now, it's interesting because we had that rate Shane's, that happened about 1:30 a d, and all the rabbis came into started rewriting their approach and their interpretations of scripture. Isaiah 53 is one of those books, they targeted because it's so very much pointed to the person, the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, but they started writing all kinds of other interpretation. So, what do they put out there? And what do they say today? This is about Israel to see. Israel has borne Sorrows. We've gone through the death camps, we've gone through the difficulties but for centuries has been complete decimation of Jewish communities are so they're taking this person talking about their Messiah verse 5 but he was wounded for our Trench. Directions to see this word all breaks down so they're being wounded for their own transgressions. That's not a replacing atonement. You can't replace yourself with yourself that isn't replacement. That's being you. If you get punishment for doing what you did, that means you're getting your own spanking when someone else takes punishment for you, that is replacement. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him and by his stripes, we are healed, he takes the blows. He takes the funniest moment, he takes the Vengeance of God on sin. He takes the absolute Justice. Is the must be rebel against absolutes in. He takes it in our place and by his stripes because of his stripes because of his replacement, we are here for 6, all we like sheep, have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his own way and the lord has laid on him. The iniquity of us all. What you were good shape, and you're a bad sheep with your following are not. God is taking the iniquity of every sheet, good or bad. Every individual in Israel, when they believed and trusted in the Messiah or not bad and What he was placed on this Messiah, this machine for 7 he was depressed. He was afflicted,

He opened not his mouth resting and trusting him. Please. Raise and argument. Against the shearers for sharing him getting rebuked. The people who crucified him for crucifying him, he was going to the place where atoning sacrifice might be given first aid. He was taken from his prison and from judgment. And who will declare that his generation for. He was cut off from the land of the living. That's meaning. He must experience a death is a separation for transgression of my people, he was stricken. God stepping up saying it is because of transgression or the writer here, saying for transgression of my people he Christ was tricking for some reason they made his grave with the wicked but with the rich and his death because he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.

Interesting, cuz where was he placed in a rich man's tomb. So we see that prophecy fulfilled, the Lord, to bruise him. He put him to grief when you make his soul and offering for sin, shall He shall prolong his days in the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Quite a bit going on here. Simply we see that again, his school is that offering for sin. So when we get into the issue of what exactly is happening and what is the makeup of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Was he a tripartite human with Body Soul and Spirit? And if so, what parts were actually judged all of them All of it and yet his deity. Could it be judged? You can God judge God. And so we get into this point where we have a debate over the centuries, and we've tried understand the makeup of the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the makeup of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, we've had people arguing on both sides of what we have to end up saying is that it was the god-man. Jesus Christ was put on the cross, the god-man. Jesus Christ was punished on the cross, was Jesus Christ relying on his deity to deal with that punishment. At that time, he was dealing. He was depending on the provision of God, the holy spirit, so we can make some distinctions wrong the kid along the way. But let's be careful about castigating and calling people. It's a slightly different perspective heretic's because there have been many, many, many people who we would say, we're Heretics. Then, we're Orthodox now or we're Orthodox, then we might call him Heretics. Now, the lines of chemical change. Rigoberto time cuz we keep going back and study scripture, and getting more in for him. Take you to wisdom and advice of those people. So, the history of theology as a very important one, and if you haven't got it, you will be woefully neglectful of understanding the progress of how we have thought about these things over time and you'll become judgmental. And you will not actually give the grace that is needed. For people who been doing work, they may have been wrong, but they actually ended up bumping us to where we need to be. Well, on the way God use that processor. Versus love, and he shall see the labor of his soul and be satisfied who God and Christ by his knowledge. My righteous servant shall justify many for. He shall bear their iniquities, who is the righteous servant to Lord. Jesus Christ is the Messiah, he is burying the Nick Woody's of many and it is by knowledge is my processing doctrine. That he goes to the cross. That is why I thinking correctly astutely along the way, being Guided by biblical truth and Doctrine step-by-step. Mumbai moment that he went through this entire process first 12, therefore, I will divide him a portion with the grade and he shall divide the spoil with the strong because he poured out his soul unto death and was numbered with the transgressors or did he bore the sins of many and made intercession for the transgressors?

Could this have anything to do with what Thomas was dealing with? Hahaha. Why would anyone think that you would think that Thomas was actually reviewing Isaiah 53? Why would anyone go there? Interesting. The story between issue a Jesus and Thomas continues, John 20:26. After 8 Days, his disciples were again and the inside and promise with them, Jesus came the doors being shot, them stood in the mist and said, Peace. You know the words the doors were closed. He didn't walk through them but suddenly. Hey guys, come from Peace. Shalom, first 27, then he Christ said to Thomas Reach your finger here. And look at my hands. Reach your finger here and put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing

Where's 28th and Thomas answered and said to him my Lord and my God.

By the way that phrasing means that is how he is addressing the person standing, in front in front of him, it's not two separate statements, it is one my Lord and my God is recognizing the DVD of the first season of Lord. Jesus Christ verse 29. And Jesus said to him, because you have seen me, you have believed blessed are those who have not seen? And yet Believe, by the way many people take this as a rebuke. But Jesus is rebuking Thomas here and I'm not sure I can take it that way. Do you know that the Apostle Thomas single-handedly was responsible for the conversion of many, many? The continent of India had a Revival that swept across the continent. Because of Thomas because he went there and he was a missionary to the Indians until this day, Christians, Trace their knowledge and indy of Christianity back to Thomas back. They have a tendency to name their church is the Church of Thomas was reading about in the entire isolated people, group above India and Below Russia. That have to rely on Jewish Traditions, were over 2000 years there. They're displaced Jews. And the genetic taste-testing seems to leave the door open to that. Heritage is not ruled out. They actually have some markers that are in common with some of the other Jewish lines there are Christian Traditions going back to the time of Thomas 2,000 years.

The rest of these four verses we just read through. I want to tell you I'm absolutely in love with the sport versus let me explain.

Part of the joy came when I first started dealing with Jehovah Witnesses. And, you know, one of the things they teach you as a Jesus was not not crucified on a cross, that's a big Roman Catholic misnomer. He was crucified on a pole and they bring out the reasons and rationale, which don't hold any water at all. So the first versus I found, because they like to bring the shoe horn to get in the door to talk to the lady or the guy who answers the door and give you an opportunity to start asking questions and interacting. So they have all these Icebreaker, so, smart, salesmanship, good stuff to do. And I found this year because it says in the plural that there were Nae,

Humans hands and nails.

So that means it couldn't have been, you know, tied to a cross to a pole and there had to be males that were there that were in place and because we have the plural, we know that there's more than one couple of them that we're in place there so but then I found out a couple other things about the passage.

one thing is in verse 27, he says Play sure. Fingers here in the holes and Place your hand in the other hole. I think sometimes we are just a little bit too arrogant. In our relating to people who come to us, who don't have a understanding of the Gospel. Lord, Jesus Christ. Have you taken the time to find out why they need to put their finger in a whole place their hand? In a hole in the side. But just because they're stupid idiot. Unbelievers. Don't know what's going on. They have hard heart towards got. A lot of people have very sincere reasons and rationales and sometimes we need to see beyond then sometimes we need to just be able to answer the questions and sincerity and Truth asking the Holy Spirit to minister. So we can see what the next thing is because you reading the text that Thomas goes, okay, I'm putting finger into the hand stuff in my hand up into your side. No doesn't say that. There's just the offer from crisis. Connecting with them says I will not leave until I do and then crisis. Okay, you can do. But I don't like the mission. he looks at me and he sees him as his Lord, who was crucified

It's interesting because the Lord Jesus Christ says you. Shua Jesus says, do not the unbelieving but believing he's not saying you're an unbeliever in any of you saying, you haven't been believing the right thing because you aren't looking at the right thing yet. Once you're looking at the right thing, there is opportunity. You know, in John chapter 3 there's an interesting discussion going on between Nicodemus who is the rabbi of rabbis. He has a title of significance, he serves on the Sanhedrin which means to be able to serve on the Sanhedrin. He has met all the qualifications of a teacher in a robot including having started his own School. His own School of ministry, teaching people and raising people up in the knowledge of scripture.

So he was a well-educated individual who knew everything in Jesus. He came to Jesus and said, how can these things be? So, and Jesus said to him, but can you be a teacher of teachers, can you be a rabbi of Israel in the Sanhedrin? Do not understand these things that one must be born

Who did Sora Greek word to be generous to be made live? It is a birth. You must be Spiritually to understand these things. They have life and relationship with me. You must be born. And he's explained that I didn't and he's like, how can I be born another time? I can't. I've been boring every way possible. We study through the rabbinical, teaching on being born and they have eight different ways that a person can be born and he's gone through every single one of those. Some of those, he can't go through one way. To be born is actually be converted from a gentile into a Jew. Changing your belief system in converting over becoming a proselytized is one way, you can be born another way. As when you pass into the age of maturity, you are born when you pass through the place where you are married and you are born. When you pass through the place of being a rabbi, you're born, when you passed through the place, that's having the entire School. Dedicated that you are teaching, you are boring. There's all these ways to be born according to the rabbi's.

He says I can't be bored and no other way to be born in Jesus's. Do you not understand? The holy spirit is like the wind moving through the trees, you can see the effect. It's real. It's their it's happening because just like the serpent in the wilderness was lifted up the bronze. Serpent was lifted. Do the study multiple times. but we have a god rejecting generation in the wilderness and God sends the curse of snake to them and everyone bitten by the snakes would die and they cried out to Moses and says we're all going to die, we need deliverance from this. Play Moses says, the people say they need deliverance and God says, okay Moses. Well, here's what we're going to do. You're going to make a bronze serpent, which is a picture of sin. Lifted up from the pool to such a high that from anywhere in the can of 10, 12 million people. If they look up and they see that bronze serpent after they've been bit by the snake, he says I will heal them and they will not die. So anyone who's under that life sentence of for that death sentence for having been bitten? They have a choice. They can look at the snake or not. Look at the snake. You don't look at the snake you die. That just means you're an idiot k. But if you turn see that bronze serpent lifted up in the distance in the middle of the camp, just see it turn, see it. You are delivered. And you are saying nothing. Sometimes, it's that simple. We need to lead people to look at the person in the work of Jesus Christ. He certainly said that, You didn't say you have to understand every aspect of Salvation along the way we have people Waring and fighting, but what is necessary. Substitutionary atonement. That's what the deal was. We have a bronze, serpent bronze. Is the middle of judgment. So we have seen judge lifted up. And if they will look to that place of atonement, that picture of Christ, that which represents the work, that actually happens in the Tabernacle that happens in the temple, that happened when Jesus went to the cross, that they will look up to that thing, they will be safe. They look, the trust they were saved. My looking know, I trusting. Men. Oh my God, God Saves. Then God does the work? No man. Does that work to himself? Salvation is not a man-made, experience is a supernatural experience. When men does the thing and trust him looks at work, Jesus Christ then proceed. For God. So loved the world. That any man, believe in him. You should not perish but have everlasting life. He explains exactly what's being talked about her that lifted up. Snake is a picture of the Salvation experience.

Play, the way solo part of why I love this passage. Then is I just take Jehovah Witnesses to come to my front door. By the way, I hope you have a Bible That's prepped and ready to go. Do you have a witness in Bible at your front door step? You should I know some of your like I run I don't answer the door or you know, they bring my ring doorbell and pretend like, I don't see it. Well, I do is I pray that God will send me missionaries. Missionaries, need to be converted.

And I hope that you do too because God will equip you. He will Empower you. You will thank him for doing that. You'll find that uses you in ways that you just cannot expect. Cuz is it about you or is it at

Is HE capable of working through you? To I recommend getting a little Bible and as you study and prepare for the coaching to sell the fuel spots marked out, I have spots marked out in the Gospel of John we go through because they hate that place up this false thing about about having a an article or not article in the Greek and you go through and show them that it also makes nonsense. If you believe that even for sure boneheads. Greek people. No better than that. So and then I like to have this text marked out and what I do is I think one of their Bible, I get the New World Translation, I had it sitting right there by my front door. I have this little text Mark in the big question mark by so I can put it?. And I can get a? I have a question here. What's going on? Because it says He answered and said to him my Lord and my God.

When guys look at you like nothing, you said even came into their yet.

Then I said, well it doesn't mean they're o and they come up with something I do on his teeth coloring Jesus is Lord. Jesus is an angel.

And it can be God him to call Jesus. God. That would be heresy. And my pick up on that work, they don't make that connection, I say so. But if he's calling Jesus, God, and he's wrong, then Jesus has to rebuke him for being wrong. Or he's breaking the law.

so, either way, Thomas said is true and he is God or this Jesus standing before him sitting and breaking the law.

Give me ideas. What do you think about it?

Holder stopper.

But verse 29, Thomas because you have seen me, you believe, blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed you realize, as I mentioned, as he went to India, something even went to China as well, but his troubles were taking the gospel to those people who had not seen. His entire Ministry was ministering to those who have not seen and yet they believe it was. He the great doubting Apostle who's rumored by recordings that we have Founding Father of the patriarch.

Patristic. Fathers tend to think that it's true that he was actually killed by Spears and that he was Spirited. It interesting because

Finishing up our room or study hear the Motts at 5 ish. The other Messianic picture of the month. It is just that bag we talked about before, and there are three compartments of the matzo clocks that are a picture of one God one month to talk one bag with three compartments to exist. Showing God existing in three persons, the father Son and the Holy Spirit. course, the Jews coming in after Christ. After a d130 started changing things around is no longer part of the story, but we have many at leaving juice, go back to this. This is how they presented three compartments, three aspects to God. His Trinity, when we have the middle matzah, that is really the only one that is removed during the ceremony. So that middle section of bread is pulled out. And that in that we have is Jesus, is already shown us a picture of the Incarnation from the second person to treat. He became an took upon himself, the likeness of sinful flesh. The breaking of the bread is a picture of his death. And when when you shua reach this part of the ceremony, he said this is my body, which is given for you. You saw that Luke 22:19 Tomatoes, then wrapped in a linen cloth, when the body of your shoe, it was taken from the cross. It was lack of is wrapped in a linen, cloth, we see that in John, 19, verse 40,

But why are we hiding in the matzo is a picture of the burial. The removal and unwrapping of the month. Has a picture of the Resurrection. This is done in connection with the third cup, the cup of redemption because after dying for the sins of the world you sure. Rose again on the third day, notably Judas was only present during the first part of the supper up to the point at which the crucifixion happen. The breaking of the bread, he was not there for the resurrection. Etc, is portrayed in the mod to talk, see, what's happening with the matzo, just like he was there up through the Betrayal of Christ, but he was not there for any of what happened after that, the resurrection in the movie Atonement, the distribution of the pieces of matzah. The picture? What your shoe in the discourse? On the bread of life, one must eat here. Flashing drink his life, to have eternal life. We saw that in John chapter 6, verses, 53, and 59. We studied us a few months back in that passage. We're even. Jesus said to them, most assuredly, I say to you. Unless you eat the Flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Again, that's not a Reconciliation of their transubstantiation viewpoints. We understood it was directly happening after he fed the masses. They tried to follow him, he tried to separate himself across the lake, went over to Kaepernick, and then capernium. He went in and he taught in the temple and above the doorway of the temple. Was a reference to the manner of God, had the manner which comes from heaven. We talked through that and show that when God in the Old Testament, was giving them the Mana, it was a reference to the coming. Work of the Lord Jesus Christ was specifically. and they understood that so much to do understand if it was inscribed and that completely in Temple, as we find out from archaeological digs,

So, Jesus Christ in the Temple capernium part about, he be the man of God that people must eat up in recognizing that he is the Messiah from God, the bread of life, the Messiah from God, the Manna From God. So we have that. If anyone wants a recap on that, I can dig up that teach you to make it available to you.

So that your car then are recounting of that is over next, we have the reading of the tiger die that is with the sack book detailing, the storyline of the Exodus and then several Psalms that are to be read the correct. The rapping. So I guess next week we will move on with the wrapping the third cup and the hello. Are we still get that all done and finished off? And then the following week will be into communion and dealing with the Shekinah Glory. So Easter part for next week.

Go ahead and closing prayer. Girly. Father, we thank you for your great patience with us. As we struggle to understand and hold on. And this is a lot of teaching and yes, maybe I teach my fire hose sometime, drinking out of a fire. Hose can be difficult, but Lord, you are gracious and your word is true. And so afraid that you would that bring that to our souls would cause us to be encouraged and change. Transformed in a few in our life, for living our relationship that you might be glorified, bring us as missionary and encouragement opportunities. For those were saved or unsafe. Did you work through it this week you be glorified. We Praise You In Preston.
