Sight is an amazing gift from God. In this last healing miracle in Mark's Gospel, we see an analogous situation reflecting the lack of sight of even Jesus' followers to the true sight Jesus wants of them & it relates to discipleship. Bartimaeus not only literally sees, but becomes an example of what it means to truly see as he follows Jesus & joins Him on the way, path to His sacrificial service.
