Knowing God (part 3)

preamble
Its great to have you with us today,
and a special welcome to those who join us online
I want to tell you as I prophesied months ago that this would be coming.
We are now in the season of fulfilled promises.
Things I have waited years to come into being are now in the process of being built.
I discovered that facebook has a limit of 1000 friend requests open at one time.
How do I know that that?
Every day since last Saturday I’ve had 1000 friend requests.
I found that if i deal with 250 in one day when i wake up theres still 1000 waiting
if I accept all 1000 in a day the next day there will be another 1000.
Now I know facebook limits you to 5000 friends and if you do the math it doesn’t take very long to fill that cap at 1000/day
So I was aksing God what He wanted me to do with this.
God reminded of a a desire He planted in me years ago to create a Kingdom Network to build up, encourage, equip and impart Kingdom mindset to leaders around the world.
At the time I had no idea how this would happen, so I just left it as a dream and pondered from time to time
So on Tuesday afternoon I put legs to that dream I created Kingdom Way Equippers Network
By Thursday morning it had 150 real authentic Pastors Teachers, Evangelsists, Bishops, Apostles and prophets who were members
This morning _______
Now some things still suprise me, I forsaw the request for speaking engagements,
but what suprised me is many of which asked to bring their ministry or church under our banner. Still working out what that means
and 3 told me thay are changing their name to Kingdom Way
Now this is what I want to to embrace for yourself.
I could have tried to start to build this on my own.
But it would have failed.
We had to wait till God put everything in place. the Epoch had to be right.
The Epoch of fulfilled promises is upon us.
So dust off those forgotten dreams
take the little steps you need to, to get the ball rolling
God says the time is now to build His Kingdom
Esther 4:14 NASB95
14 “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”

Today I want to talk about the one who is going to make that dream a reality.
Intro

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit gets a bad rap.
He’s often referred to as it.
He’s mistaken for the force from Star Wars.
He’s confused with a ghost in paranormal activity.
Oftentimes, He’s just ignored or forgotten, and this makes sense.
Since He is an invisible spirit, it can be hard to relate to Him and His work in our lives.
You may know Him by name and know that He’s mentioned during a baptism but have no idea who He is, how He is at work in your life, or whether or not you should even care.
Let’s agree this isn’t a good thing.
Here, I want to help clear the air about the Holy Spirit and His work in your life.
Now Holy Spirt is the third person of the trinity.
He is fully God
He is fully a person
He goes by many names
He is the fulfiment of the Father’s promise made through Jesus’s to the Church
He was at the beginning of creation
He gave us the Bible
He birthed the church here on earth
He empowers and Equips us to carry our God’s will on the earth
He draws people to repentance
He Develops or Character
He inhabits every believer, and bringing us to life

Makes us born again

Ephesians 2:1–5 NASB95
1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
John 3:6 NASB95
6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Body Soul and Spirit

Body is physical
Soul is your pesonality or character. Memories who you are
Spirit Is the God part of us
Jesus told nicodemus you must be born again. This is not a physical rebirth but rather a spiritual rebirth
John 3:5 NASB95
5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
When each of us are born we have a Soul and and Body, but our Spirit is dead
Yes all the pre-believers are walking around with dead Spirits
The God part of us needs to be revived. or as Jesus said Born again
At the point of conversion, when someone repents of their sins the Holy Spirit enters them and rebirths their Spirit
Made the Alive in Christ

He intercedes for us and guides our prayers

Romans 8:26–27 NASB95
26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Counsels us according to truth

Isaiah 11:2 NASB95
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

Convicts of sin

John 16:8–11 NASB95
8 “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; 11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

Makes us holy

1 Corinthians 6:11 NASB95
11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB95
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Teaches and directs us

John 14:26 NASB95
26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
John 16:7 NASB95
7 “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
1 John 2:27 NASB95
27 As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.

Equips us With Spiritual Gifts

1 Corinthians 12:7–11 NASB95
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
