Emboldened by God.
Boldness in the face of conflict is the result of being more concerned about pleasing God than man.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
Prioritize God’s glory - verse 4
Paul sought to please the Lord rather than men. We need to be more concerned with God’s glory than man’s opinion.

Your walk should not distract from your talk!
Integrity characterized Paul’s life as an apostle. He was no charlatan, he wasn’t trying to gain a following for personal gain. As a missionary, he didn’t seek to live off those he was preaching the gospel to, but rather worked and depended on the gifts from previous churches.
Paul cared for those he shared the gospel with. He was gentle with them like a mother. He exhorted them like a father.
People need to know that you care about them!

The message of the Gospel is not man’s idea, it is the word of God.
He honors His Word. It will accomplish it’s purpose. Isaiah 55:10-11 ““For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
An effective witness trusts God’s Word to do the work in the heart of those who will believe.
Application:
Who would God have you to share the Gospel with? Pray and trust God to empower you. Ask the Lord to make you and effective witness. Share and trust God to honor His Word.
