What do I believe God wants to them to know and do? To be faithful to God and the church; truth, wisdom, Holy Spirit, and church body
Why? It leads to Peace, Right Paths, Provision, and Prosperity
ME/WE
1.One of things we all want no matter where you are on your faith JOUNRY is PEACE…we want wholeness…TRUE PEACE can only come through Jesus…Jesus brings PEACE between US and GOD for those who believe.
BUT the reality is many of us at times though we have PEACE with God we don’t have PEACE NOW
Anybody been there?
THE QUESTION I HAVE IS HOW DO WE HAVE PEACE NOW?
2. ANOTHER QUESTION WE HAVE IS WHAT PATH SHOULD I TAKE?
ANYBODY?
SHOULD I TAKE THIS PATH IN LIFE OR THAT ONE
3. ANOTHER QUESTION (THERE ARE 4 TOTAL)
How do I get provision....how are my bills going to be paid and food in the table
Anybody be there wondering how this BILL is going to get PAID
4. How do we have prosperity?
I am not talking about being famous
How do we prosper in our life
Nobody wants to just eek by in this life
We want to prosper, flourish.
PROVERBS 3 says to us and we covered half of this last week
the way we have PEACE in this WORLD, the way we know what PATH to take, how to provide for our needs and to PROSPER is by
BEING FAITHFUL to THE TRUTH, HOLY SPIRIT, GODLY WISDOM, and THE CHURCH BODY OF BELIEVERS

ANOTHER WAY WE CAN SAY THIS IS BY BEING FAITHFUL TO GOD and THE CHURCH, BODY OF BELIEVERS
We covered 3 of these last week (PROVERS shows this truth in 6 ways)
1. BE FAITHFUL to THEE TRUTH
My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
If you want PEACE in this WORLD follow the ways of the KINGDOM of GOD
2. Be FAITHFUL to GOD (thee TRUTH) in all of LIFE and you will have FAVOR/PROSPERITY
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.
Faithful to God means to have allegiance to HIM not just on SUNDAY but on Sunday through Saturday
“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.
For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Doesn’t mean life is going to be easy
3. FAITH TO THE TRUTH WITH ALL YOUR HEART and he will direct your paths
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
God says to us if you want to know what PATH to take in life, if you want to know where to go…LEAN on ME, TRUST in ME
this is always easy right???? no, why??? because our understanding does not always line up with our understanding
God says I want you do ____ and you say why would I do ___? That makes no sense in my human mind, but you know in your soul that is what God has called you to do.
YOU KNOW DEEP IN YOUR SOUL and your FRIENDS HAVE THE SAME CONFIRMATION THAT THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE TO DO
AND YOU DO IT AND YOU ARE AMAZED AT WHAT GOD DOES
SOMETIMES GOD WANTS YOU TO GO WEST, THEN EAST, SOUTH, then NORTH
-East to learn, west to learn, south to be renewed
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
4. BE FAITHFUL TO GODLY WISDOM THAT COMES FORM GOD AND THE BELIEVERS
God says you have ME and the Church to help you with wisdom
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
Why does it say don’t be wise in your own eyes???
1. I have made some pretty wise decisions and that probably is true and this is where the enemy and our flesh gets us....HEY look how wise you were with that decision, so incrediblly smart that start to BELIEVE OUR OWN NEWS STORY
I don’t need you to help me…have you seen the decisions I have made? Look how smart I am
You are smart make that decision MR. WISDOM or Miss WISDOM, don’t trust your Christian dad, he’s old school or your church body.
They you trust you and what happens? DESTRUCTION
2. Anybody ever had a time in your life you thought you were so SMART, so WISE…this is the best decision and then you share it with them and they say and show how that is really DUMB and BAD DECISION?
They are not amazed!
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
You are wounded for your good
I see this with christian couples cohabitantating before marriage, living together....let’s give living together a try…not only DOES the BIBLE say not to do and DESTRUCTION will come....studies have 90% of people who live together before they are married end up divorced
3. The reason we listen GODLY WISDOM AND NOT OUR OWN IS BECAUSE WE DON’T SEE OUR BLINDSPOTS
WE READ IN THE BIBLE IT SAYS DON’T BE GREEDY…BUT HOW MANY GREEDY PEOPLE SAY YOU KNOW WHAT I AM GREEDY…I BETTER STOP THAT
OR YOU ARE PRIDEFUL OR SELF-RIGHTOUS
THE BIBLE SAYS DON’T BE GREEDY, SELF-RIGHTOUS, PRIDEFUL…AMEN! BUT IT NEVER SAYS PASTOR PETE YOU ARE GREEDY
I NEED THE COUNSEL OF GOD AND OTHERS
When we listen to GODLY WISDOM from GOD and others it will be healing and refreshment
How so? How will it be healing and refreshment?
TWO WAYS
Anybody have a time in our own life where we are struggling with something and cannot figure something out....how do we do. Sometimes we know call JILL, call Don, NO, NO
Then they say the thing we needed to hear? They led us out of entanglement?
Our wisdom kept us stuck
GOD’S WISDOM FREED US, when we followed it
SECOND
When we are wise in our own eyes and confess it we have healing too
ANYBODY BEEN HERE? GOD I AM SORRY, CHURCH I AM SORRY
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS OVER AND OVER IN MY LIFE
IT IS HEALING
5. BE FAITHFUL TO GOD WITH YOUR MONEY and when you do your storehouses will always be full.
BE FAITHFUL TO GOD WITH YOUR MONEY
-THERE GOES THE PREACHER PREACHING ABOUT MONEY…AND I WOULD SAY YES.... THE SECOND MOST THING THE BIBLE TALKS ABOUT IS MONEY
WHY?
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
WHERE YOU TREASURE IS THERE IS YOUR HEART
FOLLOW THE MONEY AND GOD WANTS YOUR TREASURE IN HIM NOT IN THE WORLD
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
GOD COMMANDS US TO GIVE THE FIRST 10% OF WHAT WE MAKE BACK TO HIM
“You shall tithe all the yield of your seed that comes from the field year by year.
What does God say first fruits…the first fruits of your paycheck?
What often happens with our money if we don’t give the first fruits to God? He gets the leftovers, here’s a couple bucks. I know you have called me to give more.
WHY DOES GOD CARE IF WE GIVE HIM MONEY? HE DOESN’T NEED IT…HE OWNS A CATTLE ON THOUSAND HILLS
1. it is an act of allegiance AND PROTECTION FOR OUR HEART?
HOW?
ALLIGENCE: I AM GOING TO TRUST YOU WITH MY WEATLH…I AM GOING TO GIVE MY FIRST FRUITS OUT OF MY LOVE AND TRUST FOR YOU, KNOWING THE PROMISE OF SCRIPTURE THAT MY BARNS WILL BE FULL
2. I AM GOING TO GIVE TO PROTECT MY HEART FROM THE SNARES OF THIS WORLD AND GIVE MY HEART TO YOU...
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
WHAT IT DOES IS IT HELPS RELEASES THE POWER OF WORLDLY POSSESSIONS ON OUR LIFE AND PUTS OUR TRUST IN GOD....OUR ACT OF GIVING FIRST TO GOD IS SAYING TO THE WORLD, MY TRUST, MY FAITH, MY CONFIDENCE BELONGS TO GOD.
Where you are TREASURE is there is your heart
BUT WHAT IF YOU GIVE TO GOD AND BECAUSE YOU GAVE TO GOD YOU CANNOT PAY YOUR BILLS
WHAT DOES THE PROMISE SAY…YOUR BARN HOUSES WILL BE FULL
BUT I AM LIVING ON 110% AS IT IS..YOU ARE NOT LIVING WISE…SELL SOME THINGS.
I counseled people to say you are living way above your means you need to CUT back MOVE
GOD IS SO SERIOUS ABOUT THIS AND KNOWS THE IMPORTANCE OF TITHE AND MONEY BEING CONNECTED TO THE HEART AND ALLIGENCE THAT HE SAYS NOT TO GIVE IS TO ROB GOD
Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions.
You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you.
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
TRUST ME
It is about your trust and faithfulness to God with your wealth you will have provision
6. Faithful to God’s discipline that comes via Holy Spirit of the believers
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.
One of the blessings of being a SON or Daughter of God is that God as our heavenly Father brings conviction either through Holy Spirit or Christian body of believers…God doesn’t say hope they figure it out
Just like I do with my sons when they are not acting in the ways of the kingdom of God
I discipline them so that they can be corrected and live in the land of LIFE
And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:
Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?
PRAISE GOD
GOD IS SAYING TO US BE FAITHFUL WITH
THEE TRUTH
TRUST ME FOR DIRECTION
WISDOM
WEATLH
CORRECTION
AND WHEN YOU DO YOU WILL HAVE
PEACE, RIGHT PATHS, PROVISION, PROSPERITY
That God not only corrects us NOW but makes perfect peace between us and God.
