Not of blood (Corruptible Flesh)

1 Cor 15:50 flesh and blood does not inherit kingdom, corruption cannot inhereit incorruption
1 Peter 1:23-25 not of corruptible seed, flesh is as grass
Salvation is a spiritual gift
Many look for an earthly salvation of healing or peace in the here and now (lady who came to meet us this week)
God’s earthly gifts are given to all man but this spiritual gift is given to spiritual people
There must be a work of the Spirit in our life
John 3:3-16 There must be a second birth

Not of the will of the flesh (Corruptible Works)

Ephesians 2:1-10 Quickened us in Christ FOR good works
We are by nature children of wrath
This is why no matter whatever age, whatever culture, whatever country you go to, you will find a people who are slaves to corruption and sin
We sin because we are sinners- I can speak nepali, live in Nepal, eat Dalbhat everyday but I will never be a Nepali; even so, we can say good things, be around good people, do good things but we will never be a good person by our own will
Not of works, lest any man should boast
God’s gift of savlation is by grace, his gift to us
Romans 6:23 The payment of our works is death because of our corruptible and fallen nature, but the GIFT of God is life through Christ, who by nature is very God (Colossians 2:9)

Not of the will of man (Corruptible Rituals)

Romans 1:16 The gospel is the power of God unto Salvation
1 Peter 1:17-21 vain conversation received from your fathers
Religion past down is a never ending cycle of vanity
God is not a respecter of persons but judges according to man’s work
Religion honors those who have position and wealth and gives greater honor to them
Salvation was God’s plan from the beginning, not something that man produced or discovered along the way
He foreordained Christ before the foundation of the world and manifested him in his perfect time.
This was not left to chance but was produced by God for the salvation of believing man
