1The heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies announce what his hands have made.
2Day after day they tell the story; night after night they tell it again.
(NCV)  Ps 19:1-2
A Heavenly Light
I was sitting outside on a curb in the middle of the night, praying to the LORD about how unworthy I felt to serve Him.
When I opened my eyes after my prayer, I saw the moon filling my vision.
The LORD showed me how the moon symbolizes the life of a man.
When the world gets between the sun and the moon, the light is blocked, but when the world is not blocking the light, the reflected light is seen by a world held in darkness.
The picture of my life is the same, as the seasons of my life recur, the world and the cares of the world can block Christ’s light, but when I put aside the cares of the world, His Light reigns and there is no darkness.
As the only God-made satellite for planet earth, the moon is the perfect depiction of a sojourner.
God’s call is to live by the spiritual and not the fleshly nature, to be in the world but not of the world.
(John 17:11, 14-16, 1 John 2:15-17) Surveying the information mankind has collected about the moon and using God’s word as the sieve; I began a study the moon and was surprised to find out how much was relevant to Scripture.
