1 Corinthians 7:23 NIV
23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.

Matthew 28:18–20 NIV
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Everything we do as a church:
Go and make disciples
Outreach opportunities: At home, our neighborhoods, at work, in the community.
Lead ppl to Jesus
Teaching them to obey the commands
Love the Lord your God
Through worship
Worship is joining the body in corporate worship on Sundays
Worship is giving your time, talent, and treasure.
Love your neighbor as yourself
Matthew 5:14–16 NIV
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14 NIV
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
You are the light of the world. Cannot be hidden
Ephesians 5:8 NIV
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
Darkness / Light - Live as children of the light.
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light
Matthew 5:15 NIV
15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Instead they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Matthew 5:16 NIV
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Let your light shine before others
See your good deeds: I though Jesus taught us not to let our good deeds to be seen?
Matthew 6:1–4 NIV
1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Would you agree the this world just seems to get darker and darker?
“The darker it gets, the brighter your light will shine.” Leonard Ravenhill
Philippians 2:14–16 NIV
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
The darker it gets, the brighter we shine. - Jeff White / It is easy, we don’t even have to try hard.

Colossians 4:5–6 NIV
5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Outsiders: This refers to unbelievers. Believers are called to live in such a way that they establish the credibility of the Christian faith and make the most of every evangelistic opportunity.
With Grace: To speak what is spiritual, wholesome, fitting, kind, sensitive, purposeful, complimentary, gentle, truthful, loving, and thoughtful.
Seasoned with salt: Just as salt not only flavors, but prevents corruption, the Christian’s speech should act not only as a blessing to others, but as a purifying influence within the decaying society of the world.
Job 29:11 NIV
11 Whoever heard me spoke well of me, and those who saw me commended me,
Do ppl speak well of you?
2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV
20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
