A Widow’s Cry
When people forsake the ways of God they begin to unjustly treat one another. The woman’s sons were in danger of indentured servitude.
The Answer provided is both miraculous and empowering.
The oil and flask were symbols of the Spirit of God. He is the one who lightens our homes.
God provided through Elisha using resources that she had, they just needed to be filled!
Eph 5:17-21 “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
PHil 4:19 “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
The Supply of the Lord will always exceed our want, but is only made available when we seek Him.
The Lord also will use the resources at hand to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think.
